Jiang Jie gathered allies to prepare for the Qiraji threat, then pursued the Scepter of the Shifting Sands and the means to create a Gate of the Twisting Nether. After binding the Scepter of Sargeras and Xal'atath into his Three Powers System, he remade Lord Jaraxxus as a means to control Fel and stabilize the system.

• Jiang Jie urged Jaina to strengthen Theramore, then confronted Vol'jin about the Darkspear's refusal to fight and asked Zandalar to aid the war against the Qiraji.
• At Theramore's summit, Shiroma revealed the Qiraji's growing numbers and the Scarab Wall's weakening seal, and the leaders divided missions to clear the hives and recover the Scepter of the Shifting Sands fragments.
• Jiang Jie found Azuregos and a Val'kyr in Azshara, sought the Val'kyr's support for his plan to create a cycle of reincarnation, and recovered the blue shard from a megalodon.
• Jiang Jie met Duke Hydraxis and arranged to keep Ragnaros's essence in exchange for giving the Hydraxian Water Elementals other spoils and calling on them for one future battle.
• Aegwynn returned with the Scepter of Sargeras, and she, Anveena, and Xal'atath built a Gate of the Twisting Nether from Jiang Jie's Taiji diagram, with Fenna lending her Holy Light power.
• The Scepter's power unleashed demons and unstable portals, but Jiang Jie and his allies bound it, then drew Xal'atath's dagger into the system and trapped it alongside the Fist of Tyr and the Scepter.
• Jiang Jie opened the Gate and summoned Lord Jaraxxus, whose mind Aegwynn shattered before Jiang Jie went into seclusion to stabilize his Three Powers Realm.
• After cultivating with Master Shang Xi, Jiang Jie absorbed Jaraxxus's remnant soul and restored him, enabling Jaraxxus to wield the Scepter, stabilize the system with Fel runes, and travel independently through the Twisting Nether.

Jiang Jie helped the allied forces push back the Twilight's Hammer, lifted Grim Batol's curse, and negotiated with Emperor Thaurissan to free the Dark Iron Dwarves. He led the assault into Molten Core and confronted Ragnaros, whose battle with Jiang Jie and his allies remained unresolved as Malfurion transformed the cavern into a forest.

• Lord Jaraxxus killed Socrethar, rallied the demons at the Throne of Kil'jaeden, and declared his intention to take control of Outland.
• Jiang Jie left Shen-zin Su after teaching it the Spirit-Dividing and Essence-Severing Star Art, then joined the war against the Twilight's Hammer at Grim Batol.
• Jiang Jie let Xal'atath reclaim the curse's power, then defeated the Dark Iron Sorcerer-Queen and removed Grim Batol's curse.
• Jiang Jie and his allies advanced from Grim Batol, then turned toward Blackrock Spire and the Dark Iron Dwarves in Blackrock Depths.
• Jiang Jie defeated Fandral Staghelm and negotiated with Emperor Thaurissan, agreeing that the Dark Iron Dwarves would purge Blackrock Depths while his forces killed Ragnaros and lifted the curse.
• Jiang Jie, Old Chen, and Malfurion fought through Molten Core, defeating its elemental guardians and bosses and gathering their essences.
• Jiang Jie defeated Majordomo Executus, who summoned Ragnaros, and Jiang Jie and Old Chen began fighting the Firelord.
• Ragnaros burned Jiang Jie's soul and hurled him into a rock wall, but Malfurion invoked the Emerald Dream and transformed Molten Core into a forest before facing Ragnaros.

Jiang Jie helped defeat Ragnaros, then led the assault on Blackrock and killed Nefarian while the Dragon Aspects contained Chromatus. After securing the Scepter of the Shifting Sands, he confronted Erudax and Cho'gall, leaving Cho'gall badly weakened but still alive.

• Jiang Jie survived Ragnaros’s hammer strike, and Ysera used his body and sword to behead Ragnaros as Malfurion held him in place.
• Jiang Jie took Ragnaros’s remaining fire essence and the Eye of Sulfuras, then escaped the collapsing Molten Core with Old Chen.
• Jiang Jie secured Duke Hydraxis’s water elemental essence, allied with Neptulon against the Naga, and prepared the assault on Blackrock with the Alliance and dragons.
• Jiang Jie and the dragonflights entered Blackwing Lair, freed Vaelastrasz from Nefarian’s control, and fought through the black dragons’ defenders.
• Jiang Jie killed Chromaggus and pursued Nefarian, who was channeling Ley Line energy into Chromatus, while the Dragon Aspects arrived to confront the awakened creation.
• Jiang Jie killed Nefarian in the sky and recovered the Focusing Iris, then returned it to Kalecgos as the Aspects defeated Chromatus and arranged to imprison him in Karazhan.
• Anachronos reforged the Scepter of the Shifting Sands, and Jiang Jie turned toward Ahn’Qiraj after reporting Nefarian’s defeat and preparing to deal with Erudax and Cho'gall.
• Jiang Jie fought Cho'gall’s forces in the Maw of Madness, killed Halfus and many Twilight’s Hammer elites, and weakened Cho'gall by destroying his eyes despite the Elementium Monstrosity and Erudax’s attacks.

Jiang Jie resurrected Thunderaan, strengthened his Holy Light, and confronted Kil’jaeden while seeking to complete his Three Talents. After escaping to Outland, he learned from Nobundo how to unite with the elements and received their support.

• Jiang Jie killed Cho'gall and Erudax, absorbed their Shadow power, and completed his new Black Tortoise True Form.
• Jiang Jie made a pact with Aishir, helped resurrect Thunderaan as a wind elemental demigod, and agreed to aid him against Al'Akir after the Ahn'Qiraj battle.
• Jiang Jie traveled to Outland, obtained the Heart of Fury from Illidan, and brought it to Velen so he could contact and aid the wounded Naaru K'ure.
• Jiang Jie received a fragment of T'uure from Velen, then traveled to Niskara and fought Lady Calindris, High Inquisitor Qormaladon, and their demon forces.
• Kil'jaeden entered the battle through the Maelstrom, but Jiang Jie and his allies resisted his attacks as Anveena and Lord Jaraxxus claimed Thas'dorah's and the Maw of the Damned's power.
• Jiang Jie balanced Holy Light, shadow, fel, and the elemental powers, struck Kil'jaeden back into the Maelstrom, and escaped through a portal to Outland.
• Jiang Jie learned from Nobundo that shamans gained strength by communicating and uniting with the elements, then joined his Elemental Spirits and avatars in communing with the Elemental Furies and the world.
