Background / History

Spirit Hall and the Heaven Dou Infiltration

Qian Renxue grew up as Spirit Hall’s young mistress and the heir of the Six-Winged Angel Clan. Bibi Dong’s coldness toward her contrasted with the affection shown to Hu Liena, whom Qian Renxue resented for seemingly taking her mother’s place in her life 32 73.

Spirit Hall officially presented Qian Renxue as having died young so that she could operate under the identity of Xue Qinghe. The infiltration developed from Bibi Dong’s proposal to support a puppet prince, although the Elder Hall had considered an independently acting prince too difficult to control. Qian Renxue insisted on carrying out the plan herself 35 73.

By the early story, she had spent years undercover. Her faction had poisoned Heaven Dou’s second prince, and Xue Qinghe was approaching the position of crown prince. Qian Daoliu supported the operation partly because he hoped its challenges would temper her character before her divine trials 16 31.

Recruiting Xuan Ming

As Xue Qinghe, Qian Renxue experienced Xuan Ming’s innate domain firsthand. After he sealed her senses and suppressed her Soul Power, she resisted with her Angel Domain. Recognizing his unusual value, she promised to let him kill Baers personally despite the political risk of connecting Xue Qinghe to another prince’s death 16.

When Bibi Dong’s faction seized Xuan Ming, Qian Renxue returned to Spirit City to reclaim him. Qian Daoliu criticized her impulsiveness and warned that her rivalry with Bibi Dong was influencing her decisions. Qian Renxue nevertheless maintained that Xuan Ming’s talent—particularly his domain—made him worth the risk 31.

After Qian Daoliu could find no safe solution to Xuan Ming’s dangerous Martial Souls, Qian Renxue agreed to let Bibi Dong treat him on the condition that he return to Heaven Dou City. She secured the arrangement by threatening Hu Liena. To Xuan Ming, she initially presented herself as a separate person whom Xue Qinghe had asked to rescue him 34.

Control, Distrust, and Growing Attachment

Qian Renxue repeatedly attempted to use Xuan Ming’s relationships for political leverage. She wanted him to win Ning Rongrong’s favor to secure the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect’s support, and sought to use Zhu Zhuqing as an opening to influence the Nether Duke. Xuan Ming rejected these methods and accused her of treating him as a tool 66 76.

Their conflict persisted despite her developing genuine feelings. Qian Daoliu identified the central problem: she mixed affection with political demands, then expected sincerity in exchange for benefits. Her jealousy of Bibi Dong and Hu Liena made her increasingly unwilling to admit that her approach was failing 117 119.

When Qian Daoliu moved against Xuan Ming, Qian Renxue sought Bibi Dong’s assistance. Bibi Dong used her as a hostage to prevent Qian Daoliu from killing him, and Qian Renxue subsequently refused to return to her grandfather’s side. She later swore on her Martial Soul that she was telling Xuan Ming the truth, explaining that he was her only friend in Heaven Dou City 120 121 124.

Her attempts at reconciliation remained inconsistent. She openly challenged Bibi Dong over their competing feelings for Xuan Ming and later used her Angel Domain to restrain him during a kiss. The Ice Dragon King confronted her about disregarding Xuan Ming’s wishes, leaving her tearful and uncertain whether their relationship had a future 125 152 153.

Defeat of the Infiltration Plan

Qian Renxue and Xuan Ming eventually fought outside Heaven Dou City. Although her Martial Soul and sacred Soul Power gave her major advantages, his superior combat experience forced her onto the defensive. Their strongest attacks left both injured and unable to continue 194 195.

Tang Hao then ambushed her. Xuan Ming protected her and drove him away, collapsing afterward. Qian Renxue caught Xuan Ming, attempted to heal him, and restored her Xue Qinghe disguise before reinforcements arrived 195.

By the time she returned to the Elder Hall, her identity had been exposed and the infiltration plan had failed. With Golden Crocodile Douluo crippled and Spirit Hall’s power concentrated under Bibi Dong, Qian Renxue turned toward her responsibilities as the Angel Clan’s heir 220.

Angel God Trials and Corruption

Qian Renxue cultivated obsessively to surpass Xuan Ming and become a god before Bibi Dong. After completing her Fifth Trial, however, she was shaken by Xuan Ming’s detached behavior following his time in Slaughter City. She acknowledged that he had endured her mistreatment without initiating harm against her and blamed her family’s interference for worsening his condition 229.

Nearly six years after entering the Angel Temple, Gu Yuena warned her that her unresolved relationship with Xuan Ming endangered his Fourth Sea God Trial. Qian Renxue initially welcomed the possibility that his progress might stall, believing that greater strength would let her obtain what she wanted. Gu Yuena countered that continued pressure might instead drive him toward destruction 295.

Her subsequent confrontation with Xuan Ming ended violently. He revealed that Bibi Dong had killed Qian Xunji, threatened Qian Renxue with the Blood Spear, and struck her back to the Angel Temple. He deliberately sought to sever their ties through hatred; she responded by retreating into near-self-destructive cultivation 296 299.

During her final inheritance trial, corruption consumed her mind and sacred power. Xuan Ming entered the Angel Secret Realm, subdued her, and attempted to restore her consciousness. The corrupted Angel Holy Sword pierced his chest while he concentrated on saving her, but he continued until her reason returned 310 311.

Qian Renxue ultimately completed the inheritance and became the new Angel God. Qian Daoliu’s death left her grieving even as she attained the power she had pursued 311.

Divine Responsibilities and Imperial Rule

After becoming a god, Qian Renxue sought a place in the Spirit Hall Empire’s core affairs. Xuan Ming assigned her a public role associated with light, order, and hope, alongside responsibility for developing the Soul Ring storage and bestowal system. She helped Bo Saixi create a Divine Pillar that combined their divine powers 313.

When Bibi Dong entered seclusion, Qian Renxue assumed governance of the empire. She favored conciliatory policies, arguing that lasting stability required more than military suppression. Old nobles and privileged Soul Masters nevertheless used her rule to challenge the reforms established by Bibi Dong and Xuan Ming 318 326.

Bibi Dong returned, condemned those compromises, and reclaimed control. Qian Renxue later protested the resulting killings, insisting that the empire needed reassurance and guidance rather than continued slaughter 326 328.

God King and the Angel God Church

After her forced ascent and elevation to God King, Qian Renxue struggled with the contrast between her immense power and the loss of her family, former ambitions, and closeness to Xuan Ming. She nevertheless chose to remain beside him and vowed not to give up on their relationship 330 331 333.

She later accepted responsibility for managing the Angel God Church and cooperating with the Sea God’s faction under Xuan Ming’s proposed unified faith structure. At a public manifestation, she projected the Six-Winged Angel’s sacred image across the land 342 345.

During a later inspection of Douluo Star, she discovered clergy exploiting her church’s reputation and reacted with fury. She subsequently accompanied Xuan Ming to investigate Huo Yuhao and the Tang Sect. Their relationship had become openly intimate by her year-long stay with him in the mortal world 354 359 360 362.

Appearance

  • Hair and eyes: Long golden hair described as flowing sunlight, with clear golden eyes 228.
  • Usual attire: Elegant platinum-colored gowns or ornate golden court dress 228 295.
  • Divine manifestation: Six wings, golden armor, and an angelic crown; immediately after her inheritance, her wings appear pure white within a golden halo 311 366.
  • Corrupted state: Disheveled hair, crimson eyes, stained golden battle armor, and an Angel Holy Sword coated in a blackish-gray sheen 310.

Personality

Qian Renxue is politically intelligent and capable of maintaining a convincing, courteous public identity. As Xue Qinghe, she handles others tactfully; as herself, she initially displays a much more imperious manner. Snake Lance Douluo regards her successful impersonation as proof that her failures with Xuan Ming are emotional rather than a lack of cunning 45 76 119.

Pride, competitiveness, and possessiveness repeatedly undermine her judgment. Her resentment toward Bibi Dong and Hu Liena turns Xuan Ming into both a desired companion and a means of proving herself. She often treats superior strength as grounds for expecting obedience, even attempting physical restraint when emotional persuasion fails 119 152 295 312.

She is nevertheless capable of recognizing her wrongdoing. She admits that she repeatedly pressured Xuan Ming while he endured her behavior, and later challenges Qian Daoliu for deciding her future without asking what she wanted. Her acknowledgment of these mistakes does not immediately eliminate her jealousy or controlling impulses 229 312 373.

In government, she favors compromise and long-term accommodation over Bibi Dong’s coercive reforms. Her desire to avoid unrest leads her to underestimate how readily entrenched elites will exploit concessions, but she also directly opposes what she considers excessive killing 326 328.

Abilities & Skills

Six-Winged Angel Martial Soul

Her inherited Martial Soul carries sacred power and is connected to the Angel God’s lineage 19 31.

  • Grants flight through manifested angel wings 123 194.
  • Produces sacred Soul Power capable of suppressing evil attributes. Against Xuan Ming’s strengthened Blood Spear, the opposing powers cancel one another rather than giving her an automatic advantage 195.
  • Supports sacred flames and a sword formed through her fifth Soul Skill 194.
  • Her first- and second-ring safe absorption limits were approximately five hundred and nine hundred years. These were assessed limits, not the stated ages of the rings she actually obtained 19.

Angel Domain

The Angel Domain is an innate domain described as a lesser form of a divine domain 31.

  • Allows her to resist Xuan Ming’s sensory suppression 16.
  • Can exert suppressive force and physically restrain him 152 312.
  • Becomes considerably stronger after her inheritance, especially within the Angel Secret Realm 312.
  • Is not impenetrable: Bibi Dong tears an opening through it using Asura Divine Power and the Asura Demon Sword 312.

Sacred Flames and Swordsmanship

Qian Renxue fights with sacred flames, aerial movement, and concentrated sword attacks 194 195.

  • Her fifth Soul Skill condenses sacred flames into a Holy Sword 194.
  • Gathering her Soul Power into the blade produces miniature-sun-like radiance and heat that distorts nearby space 195.
  • Her sacred origin offers a means of summoning True Solar Fire, but her corrupted state prevents her from using even basic sacred power properly 310.
  • Her early combat effectiveness is limited by the lack of life-and-death experience caused by years undercover 194 195.

Disguise and Infiltration

Her Head Soul Bone enables physical disguises that support prolonged impersonation 195 198.

  • Maintains the identity of Xue Qinghe within the Heaven Dou Imperial Family 31 73.
  • Can also assume Bibi Dong’s appearance 198.
  • Supplements disguise with political tact, intelligence gathering, and schemes aimed at securing influential families and sects 66 76 101.

Angel Divine Power and Faith

As Angel God, Qian Renxue inherits an established religious tradition and an affinity with the power of faith 301.

  • Her divine power supplies order and stability to the Divine Pillar’s Soul Ring storage system 313.
  • Works with Bo Saixi’s accommodating and nourishing Sea God power to preserve stored Soul Rings and faintly nurture their source energy 313.
  • Uses divine sense to perceive large-scale military mobilization 314.
  • Manages the Angel God Church within the later unified faith arrangement 342.
  • Initially possesses more divine power than practical mastery; immediately after her inheritance, her control remains incomplete 312 314.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Head Soul Bone — Enables her Xue Qinghe disguise and impersonation of Bibi Dong 195 198.
  • Angel Holy Sword — Wielded during her final inheritance trial and later divine appearances. It becomes corrupted alongside her and pierces Xuan Ming during his attempt to save her 310 311 354.

  • Bibi Dong — Mother, political rival, and romantic rival. Their disputes extend from Hu Liena and Xuan Ming to the empire’s governing philosophy 32 125 296 326.
  • Qian Daoliu — Grandfather and principal supporter of her inheritance. His protection and interference repeatedly worsen her relationship with Xuan Ming; his death accompanies her attainment of Angel Godhood 119 229 311.
  • Qian Xunji — Father. Learning that Bibi Dong killed him shatters her idealized attachment to him and her remaining understanding of her family 296 299.

  • Gu Yuena — A powerful counterweight to her treatment of Xuan Ming. Gu Yuena warns that she will intervene decisively if Qian Renxue drives him toward catastrophe 295.
  • Bo Saixi — Collaborator in the Divine Pillar project and counterpart in coordinating the Angel and Sea God churches 313 342.
  • Wang Qiu’er — A later source of jealousy. Qian Renxue demands access to her memories to verify her relationship with Xuan Ming, only to be challenged about her own complicated position 373.
