Five years later, he traveled with Qian Renxue to Suotuo City to test the growing power of his Blood Spear, where their quarrel continued.

• Dugu Bo took Xuan Ming into Sunset Forest, where Xuan Ming killed the Startling Wing Thunder Python and absorbed its Soul Ring despite the danger.
• Xuan Ming entered the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well after consuming the two immortal herbs, and the Ice Dragon King and Fire Dragon King chose him as their vessel.
• The Ice Dragon King possessed Xuan Ming to save Ah Rou and Xiao Wu from Bibi Dong, then explained her plan to seek the Silver Dragon King and aid the dragons.
