Frenzy Cut (Ninth of Ten Updates)
(President Gu, the ninth update is here!)
Redemption? The martial arts technique performed with this Metal Short Rod is called redemption?
Mu Fan simply couldn't understand the meaning of the name, and now that Hei wasn't around, he had no way to ask.
Seeing the confusion in Mu Fan's eyes, a slight smile appeared on the corner of his mouth beneath the cloak. Let the legacy of our race in this world shine its first light.
"The necessary prerequisite for learning this martial art is mastering at least one level of Dark Breath. Very good, your Dark Breath is already showing signs of developing towards the third level. You should already be feeling some of its benefits by now." The Fighter actually saw through Mu Fan's true abilities at a glance.
This has absolutely gone beyond the realm of virtuality! The Fighter's words made him realize once again the enormous gap between the two of them.
"Very good. Now try to observe my movements in a state of Absolute Calm. Remember, the weapon and your arm are one."
The Fighter held a stick in one hand and assumed a starting stance, Mu Fan followed suit.
The corners of his mouth, hidden beneath the cloak, continued to turn upwards; the Fighter admired Mu Fan's precise imitation.
"Try to control the muscle strength in your fingers while in the state of Dark Breath, because next, it depends on whether you can endure this pain."
Mu Fan's eyes widened as he saw the short stick spin rapidly with a casual flick of the Fighter's fingers, filling the quiet Combat Training Room with a whooshing sound.
Could simply rubbing your fingers have such an amazing effect? No, Mu Fan noticed that the fingers seemed to be enveloped in a layer of light green mist.
Mu Fan tried rubbing it vigorously for the first time, rising and falling.
"You've used up three-tenths of your strength, not bad, keep going."
The Fighter's words of praise failed to satisfy Mu Fan. Was this level of strength only three points?
Mu Fan gritted his teeth, tensed his muscles, and twisted them.
"Four points."
Once, twice, three times.
Nearly an hour later, Mu Fan finally reached five and a half minutes.
The Fighter nodded and whispered, "Close your eyes."
He placed his armored hand on Mu Fan's head, and a faint green light surged forth.
Mu Fan suddenly felt something new in his brain, a method of controlling the Dark Breath, using his mind to control the breath to flow through his body along specific locations.
A full ten minutes.
The two remained in that position for a full ten minutes.
The Fighter stopped and disappeared into the darkness, leaving only a faint voice.
"Let's try again and see your limit."
Mu Fan was still using the modified black Helmet, the Helmet with 100% pain lock.
The instant he opened his eyes, ancient runes flashed faintly within them. Dark Breath flowed through his arms along the path he had visualized in his mind, and then, with Absolute Calm, he forcefully controlled his muscles and unleashed his power!
Mu Fan felt a burning pain in his arm. In that instant, he felt his muscles push beyond their physical limits. However, under the special stimulation and restraint of the Dark Breath, Mu Fan endured the pain of his muscles being stretched and torn apart and released his power fiercely.
Buzz! He could see the short stick spinning in the air for almost twice as long as before.
"Not bad, less than eight and a half."
"Again! "Mu Fan gritted his teeth.
Another hour later, Mu Fan rubbed his fingers together, and the short stick was now spinning steadily in Mu Fan palm, just like the Fighter's movements before.
"Very good, first move passed." The Fighter nodded. The young man in front of him had amazing talent in this area, and what pleased him even more was his perseverance in enduring hardship and not giving up until he achieved his goal.
When the clock struck 12, Su Xiaomi downstairs watched the surveillance camera with curiosity. There was no movement in Black Fan Grandmaster's room. Could it be that he was sleeping during the day?
But don't those foodies eat?
"Gurgle~" Just as Su Xiaomi was wondering, Mu Fan's stomach made a timely sound.
He has just mastered the first of the Redemption Seven Stages: the Frenzy Cut.
The short stick in his hand shot out like lightning, then suddenly spun in his palm. With an upward flick of Mu Fan's wrist, the air in front of him seemed to be torn apart, flashing with a whistling sound. This was just the basic manifestation of the move. In actual combat, this move could be transformed into more than sixty variations.
Although the Fighter told him that the move had met the standard, he still felt that something was wrong. Whether it was the name of the move or how it was executed, he felt that the weapon in his hand was missing something, just a little bit.
Seeing the doubt in Mu Fan's eyes, the Fighter in the shadows smiled but didn't offer any further explanation.
"No, I'm so hungry! I need to go eat!" Mu Fan said, panting as he collapsed on the ground. Even though the morning's training was conducted PO Battle Network, the immense mental strain had put Mu Fan under pressure. He had never experienced such exhaustion in this game before.
"Continue in one hour." The Fighter nodded, his figure disappearing into the shadows.
Su Xiaomi suddenly received a call from 216, asking for another 20 boxes of deluxe lunches. When she heard Mu Fan's firm voice, she almost vomited the lunch she had just eaten.
Why is Black Fan Grandmaster such a silly, gluttonous person?
"By the way, do you have any short sticks in your store? Any material is fine." Mu Fan's voice suddenly rang out in the communicator again.
Su Xiaomi was momentarily stunned by the wild idea: what was the purpose of the short stick?
Looking down, I saw a few short wooden sticks in the corner, which looked like parts for building a frame.
"Yes, come and pick it up yourself. We won't deliver it."
"Okay, I'll be right there."
After agreeing, Mu Fan hurriedly tidied himself up and went out. He walked downstairs to Su Xiaomi and gave her a handsome smile.
Seeing Mu Fan's sunny smile, Su Xiaomi was also infected and wanted to smile back.
"Excuse me, where's the short stick?" Mu Fan's question immediately turned Su Xiaomi's face from sunny to cloudy.
So, I'm not even worth as much as a stick! I'm so angry!
Su Xiaomi turned her face away and ignored Mu Fan.
Mu Fan looked at the cute girl in front of him, who was puffing up her cheeks, completely bewildered. He hadn't said anything else, and the communication had just said to come down and get it.
Mu Fan looked in the direction Su Xiaomi had just looked, and there were several wooden sticks scattered in the corner of the wall.
Hehe, perfect. Mu Fan walked over, picked it up, and weighed it in his hand. It was just right to try it out.
Looking at Mu Fan's expression, Su Xiaomi's suspicions deepened. The young man didn't seem like Martial Arts Grandmaster at all.
"Hello, your lunch order has arrived."
Suddenly, a person came in and spoke, carrying two trays in his hands. Mu Fan's lavish lunch had arrived.
With a joyful heart, Mu Fan twirled the short stick in his hand and quickly moved closer.
"My food!" Her eyes turned into hearts.
"Hey, this food looks good, kid. I'll take one." Suddenly, a domineering voice rang out, and then a muscular hand reached for the tray.
"That's mine! "Mu Fan panicked, instinctively swinging the short stick he was spinning in his hand, trying to stop the man.
"Hmph!" The man saw that a young man had actually tried to stop him. He slashed his hand with a knife. The scars and calluses on his hand showed that this man was definitely a veteran fighter. He was about to knock away the original owner Mu Fan, without holding back at all.
Mu Fan frowned, exerted force in his palm, and a strange and imperceptible power surged from his body, spreading along his shoulders and arms. The speed at which the short stick in his hand spun suddenly increased threefold, and he swung it out fiercely like a blade wheel.

P. S.: For readers who would like to make a cameo appearance, please leave a message in the pinned post in the book review section.
