Seizing RX-16 (1)
After delivering a fatal blow, he fell and twisted, drew his dagger, kicked off, and then swiftly flipped onto the opposite wall.
Mu Fan's linen clothes were first covered with a layer of dirt and ash during the explosion, and then he fought a series of battles. His body was covered with mud and blood, and the occasional glimpses of white allowed people to still see the original color of the clothes.
Using the rising smoke from the explosions, Mu Fan ran quickly. The streets, alleyways, and courtyards were littered with corpses—piles of bodies and scattered limbs, blood flowing freely and staining the ground red. The crazed space pirates were still firing at the crowd, but Mu Fan had no time to care. All he could do now was get the RX-16 as quickly as possible and launch an attack!
We're almost at the edge. Ahead lies the mountain path, where the tall grass will provide perfect cover. The space pirates have deliberately avoided this area, so it seems Black was right.
Otherwise, why is there no one here?
No, someone's there! Just as a plume of black smoke drifted through the air, Mu Fan was about to leap off the wall when a chill ran down his spine. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a dark gun barrel aimed at them from a distance.
There was someone standing there with a gun raised. Mu Fan violently flicked his right hand, and with a muffled thud, someone fell down.
Walking over, Mu Fan saw the space pirate with the entire dagger embedded in his face, his gun falling limply from his hand. After checking that there was no one else around, Mu Fan finally confirmed that this was just a space pirate who had accidentally stumbled upon this place.
"Mu Fan, the remaining 19 surveillance cameras outside the city have detected mechs moving into the city. One of them has been confirmed as the ' Nimble Cat D-Grade Tiger Type Mecha,' which matches the data from the New Guard Society's stronghold." Black's voice suddenly came, informing Mu Fan the New Guard Society had begun its operation.
Time was of the essence. If they delayed any longer, the military would be completely wiped out of mechs, and then how would they get their revenge?
"Mu Fan, give me ten more minutes. I've taken control of a radio station and started using shortwave signals to decipher data. Once that's done, I'll be able to intercept their communications."
For over twenty years, the Poison Scorpion has roamed the star field, cunning and treacherous. Their operation on Luoqie Star, a coordinated effort from within and without, was virtually flawless. However, no one anticipated the emergence of an intelligent life form far ahead of its time. At this moment, this intelligent life form is angrily dismantling the layers of intricate web they have painstakingly constructed. Little do they know that in ten minutes, this network, which has held a shocking secret for decades, will unveil its entirety to Mu Fan.
Mu Fan, of course, knew nothing of this. After giving a soft "hmm," he began to follow Hei's plan and head towards the hillside. He took off his shoes, and the familiar touch of the soil beneath his feet gave him a sense of returning to nature. He bent over and adjusted his breathing.
The Dark Breath continued to operate, and today was the longest he had ever been in Dark Breath state. He was certain that this state couldn't be maintained indefinitely, because he could feel his mental energy being rapidly depleted, while the cells in his body were constantly releasing energy to sustain him in the Dark Breath state.
In other words, while Dark Breath allows the body's cells to consume energy at a steady rate, Blood-colored Vision consumes almost double that amount. If this state is maintained for a long time, he... will get hungry. Of course, the duration of Dark Breath is much longer than that of Blood-colored Vision, which is a burst-like skill.
Fortunately, his two days of frantic eating have given him a great deal of energy. A continuous stream of power is being released from the deepest part of his cells, supporting him to jump, run, and explode.
Like a fish returning to the ocean, Mu Fan disappeared without a trace after entering the tall grass.
This is a hidden military warehouse in Second City District, a top-secret operation within the Luoqie Star government. The Speaker has four directly subordinate guard units, and apart from him, Major General Hobart, and the units themselves, no one else knows their locations. The authority to mobilize these units rests with only one person— Luoqie Star Speaker Hai Deng.
One of the guards was stationed on this hillside, and the only entrance was a cave hidden behind a giant stone mechanism halfway up the mountain.
This area has a total of three RX-16s, five RX-25s, and two RX-33s; this is the strongest military force in District 2.
The military's communication network has been mysteriously cut off, so even if this guard sees the outside world, they cannot act rashly. They must obey orders and remain stationed here until the Speaker's orders are delivered.
Mu Fan pressed himself against the rock wall, his body strangely stretched out and flat, and with no fluctuations in his breathing, he almost became one with the rock.
"Hey, I've arrived." Mu Fan clenched his teeth lightly, his voice traveling through his bones into the earpiece.
"Completed! It's been cracked. I have now officially infiltrated the network of this military warehouse. It's unblocked. Now these clueless soldiers should be able to contact their master. However, the Loka administrative network cannot be restored. It seems there are signs of deliberate physical damage that I cannot repair."
Poison Scorpion, who was quietly enjoying the fireworks, had no idea that the network in a base had been restored more than ten minutes ahead of schedule. No one in the Broken Axe Star Pirate Group knew that an intelligent life form had broken through their first barrier.
"Reporting, Major! The communications network has been restored, fifteen minutes ahead of schedule. Please give further instructions!" A soldier ran into the command room and saluted.
"Great! Contact the Speaker immediately and request authorization to launch the attack!" A young officer with the rank of Federation Major excitedly pressed the virtual sandbox.
"Yes, sir!"
"I am Hai Deng, the Luoqie Star Speaker."
"Reporting to the commander, the Fourth Guard is on standby, please give instructions!" Without any preamble, the major stood at attention and saluted, asking for instructions in front of the image of the speaker.
"Fourth Guard Mechs, launch! Wipe out these bastards!" Speaker Hai Deng, his face flushed red, slammed down his fist. He was about to vomit blood from anger if he didn't vent his frustration.
"Yes, sir!" After the conversation ended, the major turned and immediately issued the order, "Order the ten-man team to prepare immediately; conduct pre-deployment checks on the mechs!"
Then, accompanied by a curse, the entire force hidden beneath the mountain began to move.
When the major contacted the speaker, Mu Fan had already entered the mountain under Hei's guidance.
"The pupil scanner has been hacked. You are about to enter. Mu Fan, you must strictly follow my instructions. Otherwise, if the passive defense weapon is triggered, you will die," Hei solemnly warned.
"Enter in 4 seconds. You'll find a 300-meter-long metal corridor with various non-electronic trigger mechanisms. Two patrolling soldiers are about to reach the loop at the end of this corridor. Your task is to walk out without sending any information within 15 seconds while they are facing away from you." Black stated a task that seemed impossible.
But Mu Fan nodded, gently shook the mud off his feet, and as the two soldiers turned the corner in the black surveillance, the entrance gate to the mountain was opened silently.
Mu Fan flashed inside!
