After drinking a glass of warm water, Gu Wancheng felt much better. She stretched and moved around a bit before heading downstairs to find something to eat.

Once downstairs, Butler Chen approached with a polite smile. "Madam, breakfast will be ready shortly. Please have a seat."

Gu Wancheng was taken aback. Was it that fast? Or had they been preparing all along?

When breakfast was served to him, Gu Wancheng suddenly realized that it was porridge. No wonder.

After finishing a bowl of porridge, Gu Wancheng barely survived. When she ate the second bowl, she wasn't in such a hurry; instead, she ate slowly and deliberately.

After finishing breakfast, he felt around on his person but couldn't find his phone. He then realized that his phone was still lying on the carpet in his room. Come to think of it, he hadn't used his phone in a long time; the only time he ever used it was to pay bills.

I strolled upstairs and found my phone under the sofa. It hadn't been charged for two days and was now dead. I plugged it in, turned it on, and then left it there.

He turned on the projector, half-lying on the sofa to watch cartoons. The hilarious plot made him laugh until he was breathless. No wonder it was the most popular cartoon; it was really good. After watching for two hours, Gu Wancheng rubbed his slightly sore eyes, leaned back on the sofa, and closed his eyes to rest for a while.

He got up, took out his drawing board and pens that he kept in his room, frowned as he thought about what to draw, and suddenly a flash of inspiration struck him, and he started drawing quickly.

A Jian Yue line drawing of a puppy appeared on the paper. It was something he used to like a lot, but that liking had gradually faded over time.

Gu Wancheng kept drawing lines of a puppy until there wasn't a single blank space on the entire sheet of paper.

Looking at the puppy lines covering the pristine white paper, Gu Wancheng smiled with satisfaction. She then carefully placed it on the table and began drawing the cartoon animal from the animated film she had just watched.

Tomorrow is Saturday, and everything is going perfectly; Chaochao certainly won't have any objections.

Gu Wancheng was multitasking, drawing while pondering the journey ahead.

After a few knocks, Xiaoyu's voice came from the doorway, "Madam, I've brought you some snacks."

Gu Wancheng called out, "Come in."

Xiaoyu responded and opened the door to come in. "Because you said you liked it last time, I've prepared lemon Barbalua and a pot of jasmine tea for you again this time."

This time, Lemon Babarua specially prepared two servings, just in case Gu Wancheng didn't have enough.

Gu Wancheng smiled at Xiaoyu, "Thank you."

"No need to thank me, Madam." (≧∇≦*)

After putting her things away, Xiaoyu left the room. Gu Wancheng immediately put the unfinished painting aside and began to enjoy her meal.

This stuff is delicious; he wants to eat it again tomorrow.

The phone suddenly rang. Gu Wancheng picked it up and saw that it was a call from Chaochao's teacher.

"Did Chaochao get into another fight?" Gu Wancheng asked doubtfully as she answered the call.

A pleasant voice came from inside, "Hello, is this Mr. Gu?"

"It's me, Teacher Yu. Is there anything I can help you with?"

"That's right, Chaochao has a slight fever right now."

Gu Wancheng became anxious upon hearing this, "Did he take his medicine? I'm going to pick him up later."

This kid was fine yesterday, how come he suddenly has a fever today?

Teacher Yu said gently, " Mr. Gu, don't worry too much. He's already taken his medicine. Chaochao, come talk to your dad."

Then, Chaochao's voice rang out, "Dad."

Gu Wancheng asked worriedly, "Is Chaochao still feeling unwell?"

Chaochao shook her head, then remembered that he couldn't see, so she said, "I feel a little dizzy. My head is full of knowledge, it feels so heavy."

Gu Wancheng: "..."

He hesitated, as if he wanted to say something but then stopped. He seemed to have a lot of knowledge, yet this childish remark managed to hold him captive for a few seconds.

After thinking for a moment, I decided to ignore his words. "Be a good boy, and Daddy will come pick you up soon."

Gu Wancheng is already downstairs. She told Butler Chen, and he immediately went to arrange a car.

Gu Wancheng walked towards the door while talking to Chaochao.

After a while, Chaochao said hesitantly, "Dad, I want to eat something spicy."

Gu Wancheng refused without even thinking, "No, I'll eat it when I'm better."

Chaochao's head drooped instantly, and she listlessly said "okay."

When they were almost at school, Gu Wancheng called Teacher Yu and asked her to bring Chaochao to the gate.

At the school gate, Chaochao squatted on the ground looking dejected, covering her face with her hands, with Teacher Yu standing beside her.

Gu Wancheng called out, " Chaochao."

Chaochao's reaction was slow; it took her a while to slowly raise her head. The moment she saw him, her face lit up with a smile, "Daddy!"

Gu Wancheng touched his forehead and face with concern; they were both quite hot. "Are you still feeling unwell?"

Chaochao nodded. "I feel terrible, I'm so tired."

Gu Wancheng picked him up and smiled at Teacher Yu, "Then I'll take Chaochao back first."

Teacher Yu nodded and smiled gently at Chaochao, "Okay, Chaochao, you should rest well at home."

Chaochao turned her head and waved to Teacher Yu, "Goodbye, Teacher Yu."

Chaochao, Mr. Gu.

Gu Wancheng responded with a "Mhm."

Then, I carried Chaochao into the car, fastened his seatbelt, and touched his face.

This was the first time he had ever seen his son look so haggard, and it broke his heart.

Gu Wancheng asked, "Did you cover yourself properly with the blanket yesterday?"

Chaochao felt guilty instantly. Yesterday, he suddenly felt a little hot and didn't cover himself with a blanket. He fell asleep immediately and woke up at seven o'clock.

Chaochao's guilty eyes darted around, and she weakly said, "It's covered up."

Gu Wancheng raised an eyebrow, looking at the top of his head. He must be stupid to believe it, seeing his guilty conscience all over his body.

Gu Wancheng gave a meaningful "hmm" and stared at him without saying a word, making Chaochao feel even more guilty.

He checked his fingers, lowering his head further and further down, "I forgot."

Gu Wancheng leaned closer to him, looking into his eyes, "Will you forget again next time? Hmm?"

Chaochao covered her face with her hands, refusing to meet his gaze. "I haven't forgotten. I know I was wrong."

Gu Wancheng sat up straight and leaned back. "As long as you don't forget, we'll check when we get back to see if you need an injection."

Chaochao nodded obediently, "Okay."

Gu Wancheng looked surprised. "Aren't you afraid of getting a shot?"

There wasn't a trace of fear of injections in Chaochao's tone; it's amazing that a child isn't afraid of injections.

Chaochao shook her head, "Are you afraid of needles? I'm not afraid at all."

Gu Wancheng's lips twitched, "..."

She raised her hand and gently rubbed his face. "Who's afraid of needles? You're just too talkative. Shut up."

Chaochao looked unconvinced. He thought his father was just afraid of needles, and he wouldn't laugh at him.

Gu Wancheng caught a glimpse of his expression out of the corner of her eye and knew what he was thinking, so she couldn't help but chuckle.

When they got home, the family doctor was already waiting. The doctor immediately put a thermometer in Chaochao's mouth.

Chaochao sat on the sofa with a thermometer in her mouth, looking at Gu Wancheng, who was eating heartily, with a resentful gaze.
