Yun Qishan combines affection for his family with a cautious approach to sensitive matters. A package from Shang Shujue brings an indulgent smile to his face, but its unexpected contents immediately put him on guard. Despite Yu Zeqi’s resemblance to Yu Yang, he insists on secrecy and DNA confirmation before accepting the relationship as established fact 16.

While playing Go with Yu Yang, Yun Qishan warns him that the Yu Family’s collateral branches are becoming active. He specifically notes a nephew’s conspicuous charity donations as an attempt to win support and improve his standing. Yu Yang, believing he will never have a child, responds that leaving the family business to nephews bearing the Yu surname is preferable to losing it to outsiders 15.
Their next game is interrupted by Uncle Qi, who brings an urgent parcel sent by Shang Shujue through the Yun Family’s private delivery channel. Inside are a letter, hair, and photographs of Yu Zeqi and Zhang Yunyi. Both men recognize Zhang Yunyi, while Yu Yang immediately believes Yu Zeqi is their son 16.
Yun Qishan steadies his excited friend, clears the attendants from the room, and insists that the discovery remain secret until testing confirms it. After reading Shang Shujue’s warning about the danger surrounding Yu Zeqi, he accompanies Yu Yang to the hospital for an expedited DNA test.
