Awakening and Journey to Sea God Island

Ye Yao awakens on Douluo Continent with his soul split among Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise. He discovers that he can control each body independently. The system then assigns a mission requiring each body to be killed and absorbed as a Soul Ring before reverse possession can occur 1.

Because Black Tortoise’s water attribute has its best affinity with the Sea God or the Sea God’s inheritor, Ye Yao directs it toward Sea God Island. It enters the deep sea and continues toward the island despite strengthening currents 1 3 6.

Heavenly Screen Revelation and Offshore Standoff

The Heavenly Screen reveals Black Tortoise as a two-hundred-thousand-year juvenile ranked third among the continent’s greatest Soul Beasts. Many Soul Masters dismiss the ranking because the older Deep Sea Demonic Whale King places below it. Ye Yao disregards the controversy and continues his approach, knowing that the system’s possession mechanism remains secret 8 9.

Its arrival exposes the misleading impression of scale created by the screen. Bo Saixi sounds Sea God Island’s highest-level alarm and assembles the Sacred Pillar Guardians on the northern shore. She calms an approaching wave but forbids an attack because Black Tortoise has not released Soul Power or demonstrated hostile intent. It stops in deep water, beginning a prolonged standoff 14 15.

The revelation of the Four Holy Beasts Bond increases the island’s concern. Nevertheless, Black Tortoise remains quiet, while Bo Saixi expands patrols and excludes unfamiliar Soul Masters from waters within a hundred li of the island to prevent anyone from provoking it 16 17 23.

Departure and Encirclement

Frustrated that nobody will attack, Ye Yao moves Black Tortoise beyond Sea God Island’s waters to draw in the waiting hunters. Hundreds of ships follow. Bo Saixi permits interested islanders to pursue it, warning them to prioritize their safety 31.

After the Heavenly Screen exposes its weaknesses, Sea Soul Masters enter the water and bombard the serpent’s body. Their attacks leave no marks. Ye Yao surveys the attackers for a suitable possession target but finds few appealing candidates and is disappointed that Bo Saixi—his preferred choice—has stayed behind 34.

Bo Saixi declines to participate because Bibi Dong has already absorbed White Tiger’s ring, eliminating her opportunity to collect all four rings and obtain their combined divine potential. Sea Dragon Douluo and other island Douluo eventually join the assault with support from Ning Rongrong and Oscar; the supplied account ends before the battle is resolved 34.
