In this way, he would have no worries.
" Rena, contact Gus Carl II immediately."
"Tell him that the main fleet of Ragnar is on its way and is expected to arrive in four days."
"Make him defend Carl II at all costs," Lynn immediately decided.
"Okay!" The Ripper nodded immediately, closed its eyes, and began to contact Gus through its clone.
A few seconds later, it opened its eyes and said to Lynn, "I've made contact. Gus said he's received the message."
"He said that whatever the governor required of him, whether it was to retreat with the fleet, defend the Carl II to the death, or even actively engage the Orks fleet, he would absolutely obey orders."
Lynn nodded.
Gus did not disappoint him.
"Tell Gus that there is no need to retreat or launch an attack."
"You only need to hold out for three days. Reinforcements will arrive after three days."
"Understood!" The Ripper closed its eyes again and relayed the command.
Soon, she received Gus's response. " Gus said he understands."
"He will protect Carl II with his life, and will never back down."
"Very good." Lynn nodded in satisfaction.
" Lynn, should we still go over there?"
Lynn thought for a moment, then said, "Let's go."
After all, there were quite a few traces of the Tyranids on the Carl II, and the fleet's junior commanders were all Genestealer.
If something goes wrong and he's not there, it will be too late to fix it.
Shall we set off now?
"Of course." Lynn stood up and straightened his clothes.
"How could such a grand occasion be complete without our Governor Brevis?"
"Pass on my order: the Second Expeditionary Fleet must immediately prepare for battle."
"All personnel back to position. Replenish ammunition and fuel."
"Depart for Carl II in one hour."
"Yes!" the Ripper responded immediately, then relayed the order to the commander of the First Fleet through the Hive Mind connection.
The Purification Crusade Second Fleet was accomplished after Lynn captured the Carl II, when the remaining nobles and Adeptus Mechanicus accepted their defeat in the gamble.
The fleet was assembled under the command of the Governor-General's Office.
However, the time was too short, and the size was less than half of the fleet left behind by Carl II, but at least there was a Lunar-class Cruiser, so it wasn't too bad.
"Wait a minute," Lynn suddenly remembered something and added.
"Notify all ships to use conventional navigation for the entire journey and not to activate the Warp Engine."
"Huh? Why?" the Ripper asked, puzzled.
" Warp travel is absolutely forbidden." Lynn said sternly.
"Right now, the entire Warp of the Segmentum Obscurus is in extreme chaos. If we travel through Warp and arrive at Carl II before Dominic, what do you think they'll think?"
The Ripper nodded in sudden realization.
As things stand, even the Tithe Fleet, with its luxurious fleet configuration, has been lost in Warp for half a year.
Now they only dare to use actual space travel to operate on Carl II.
If Lynn were to put on a flawless, one-time Warp voyage for Dominic and his team right there and then...
Arriving at Carl II in six hours, Brevis became the fastest legend.
What do you think Dominic's reaction will be?
At that point, let alone fighting together, the Tithe Fleet would probably immediately turn its cannons on Lynn.
"I understand. I'll go and inform them that they don't need to activate the Warp Engine."
"You've worked hard, darling." Lynn stroked the Ripper with satisfaction.
He walked to the window and looked at the starry sky outside.
I feel somewhat sad that this crisis seems to have been resolved so easily.
One hour later, at Brevis Starport.
A Turbulent-class Frigate bearing the insignia of Governor Brevis sailed away from the port.
Behind it followed twelve Sword-class Frigate, one Lunar-class Cruiser, and several civilian-class transport ships.
Lynn stood on the bridge of the Lightning frigate, looking out at the increasingly smaller planet Brevis, his eyes deep in thought.
"Route set, target Carl II, normal navigation, speed 80%," the adjutant reported loudly.
"Let's go," Lynn said in a deep voice.
With a deafening roar, the fleet accelerated and sailed into the dark depths of space.
After Lynn left, Brevis, Saint Garus Castle.
Luna St. Garus was sitting in her study, slamming her quill on the table in frustration.
"Bang!"
The quill pen struck the expensive parchment, splattering a large amount of ink and staining the half-written letter.
"Useless! A bunch of useless trash!"
Luna suddenly stood up and swept everything on the table onto the floor.
Miscellaneous items were scattered all over the ground, making a jarring breaking sound.
The maids were so frightened that they knelt on the ground, trembling all over, and dared not even lift their heads.
"Get out! All of you, get out!" Luna screamed hysterically.
The maids, as if granted a pardon, scrambled out of the study, closing the door behind them.
Luna was left alone in the room.
She slumped into a chair, staring at the mess on the floor, her chest heaving violently.
This period was the most difficult time of her life.
After news of Lynn's capture of Carl II spread, her reputation as " Lord Regent " plummeted to an all-time low among the St. Garus Family and the Uptown nobles.
The nobles who used to fawn over her now avoid her whenever they see her.
The elders in the family also began to openly question her abilities, demanding that she relinquish power and allow Leo to succeed her Lord Regent.
Even the Adeptus Mechanicus, which had always supported her, changed its attitude.
Those damned old fogies actually sent someone to tell her to "behave herself for now and not provoke Kerry von."
And her "dear" nephew!
Since Lynn came back, he's like a completely different person.
Every day, he would bring a group of people to the castle to mock her.
They called her a woman who repeatedly lost battles yet fought on despite all odds, Orks prisoner of war, Lynn's most dutiful toy, and so on.
Every time, it made her so angry she trembled, yet she was helpless.
What devastated her even more was that her meticulously planned Tithe scheme had also completely fallen apart.
She had assumed that the tax collector from Ventria would be a stern, rigid, and incorruptible person, just like everyone else in the Administratum.
She had prepared a large amount of "evidence" to falsely accuse Lynn of embezzling taxes, hoarding military equipment, and treason.
She wanted to use Dominic to get rid of Lynn completely, and then become Brevis's savior herself.
But what was the result?
That Dominic, aside from giving Lynn a hard time on the first day, just lazed around Starport the rest of the time.
They were either gathering information or venturing into the icy plains.
Now look what's happened! They've actually taken their main fleet to fight the Orks on Carl II!
Was he there to collect taxes, or was he an accomplice hired by Lynn?
Luna grew angrier and more desperate the more she thought about it.
She felt like a clown.
All the scheming and plotting seem so ridiculous and powerless in the face of absolute power.
Lynn is currently at the height of his power, commanding a large army and possessing the aura of being the " Emperor's Chosen."
But she was abandoned by everyone and had nothing left.
Is she really going to lose to Lynn?
Is she destined to live her entire life in Lynn's shadow?
No!
She was unwilling to accept it!
She is the savior of the St. Garus Family; she should be the ruler of Brevis!
How dare that lowly outsider, Lynn, ride roughshod over her?!
But what can you do if you're unwilling to accept it?
There's nothing she can do right now.
A deep sense of powerlessness welled up in Luna's heart.
Exhaustion surged from all directions, making it almost impossible for her to breathe.
She dragged her heavy steps out of the study and back to her bedroom.
She didn't even bother to take off her clothes and just collapsed onto the bed.
She closed her eyes, and darkness instantly engulfed her.
She was too tired.
All she wanted was a good night's sleep.
Perhaps, if I fall asleep, the pain will lessen.
But she didn't expect that this would be the most painful sleep of her life.
