Mu Fusheng and his allies won the academy exchange by holding seven pillars, then gathered in Heaven-Reaching City for auctions and the coming qualifying competition. Lu Changsheng helped Mo Yu’s clan defend its Ancestral Dragon bones and entered the Mo Clan library to learn the Dao of Puppetry.

• Mu Fusheng, Xiao Hei, Shi Sheng, and Fang Qiong reached the Black Tortoise Divine Dynasty, where they learned several academies had ambushed the Chaotic Spirit Academy and prepared to compete at the Martial God Tomb.
• Mu Fusheng defeated the Xuanming Holy Son, while Shi Sheng broke through during his fight with Tong Yan and later overcame more challengers as Fang Qiong and Xiao Hei claimed pillars.
• The Chaotic Spirit Academy and its allies held seven of the nine pillars and won first place, then Mu Fusheng and the others left before Vice Dean Ming could thank them.
• In Heaven-Reaching City, Lu Changsheng acquired a mysterious bronze sword and taught Mo Yu how to deal with threats, while Mu Fusheng joined Jiu Bailu to learn about rival academies and bought her a defensive shawl.
• At the auction, Jiu Bailu won the Nine-Cord Thunderclap Chain for Mu Fusheng, Mo Yu bought lightning-attribute shoes, and the Mo Clan won the Ancestral Dragon bones.
• Lu Changsheng followed Mo Xing and Mo Ling when factions ambushed them outside the city, killed the attackers, and accompanied Mo Yu and the Mo Clan elders to meet the patriarch.
• Mo Hanlin questioned Lu Changsheng’s ability in puppetry, so Lu Changsheng asked to study the Mo Clan’s basic books and entered the library to read them with his soul power.

Chaotic Spirit Academy won the qualifier after the Mo Clan yielded, while Ye Qiubai followed the Azure Cloud Token into the Qingming Sea and helped the Ai Clan survive its conflict with the Dai Clan. The Ai and Dai Clans began reconciling, and Ye Qiubai left with the materials for Mo Xun to build his vessel partly gathered.

• Lu Changsheng rapidly mastered puppetry, built a powerful puppet for the Mo Clan, and left with the Grand Elder and Mo Yu.
• Xiao Hei defeated Lan Qing and Yi Che, Gu Sheng beat Gu Lin and another Holy Light Academy fighter, and Mu Fusheng defeated Miao Youzhi in the qualifier.
• Fang Qiong defeated Mo Le, and Mo Ling, Mo Xing, and the remaining Mechanism Academy contestants conceded, giving Chaotic Spirit Academy the qualifier victory.
• Ye Qiubai followed the Azure Cloud Token across the Qingming Sea, killed a God Emperor-grade Flood Dragon, and traveled with Ai Zhi to seek a stronger vessel from Mo Xun.
• Ye Qiubai supported Ai Shouxian in rejecting Ai Zhi’s marriage alliance with Dai Heng, prompting the Dai Clan to declare war and cut off trade with the Ai Clan.
• Ye Qiubai destroyed a Dai Clan ship and killed its grand elder, then protected the Ai Clan’s ship from sea Devil Beasts and brought back valuable resources.
• Ye Qiubai persuaded Dai Heng to seek a truce and provide the Primordial Beginning Metal, and the Dai and Ai Clans began moving toward cooperation.
• Ye Qiubai taught Ai Zhi sword cultivation for five days, received the metal and news that half his materials had been gathered, and prepared to depart as Mo Xun returned the Azure Cloud Sword.

Ye Qiubai gathered the rare materials Mo Xun needed, mastering fire and claiming the Divine Mystic Fire Soul along the way. He followed the Azure Cloud Token into the Qingming Sea, received the Azure Cloud Sword Master's inheritance, and began fighting Li Che for it.

• Mo Xun lent Ye Qiubai the Azure Cloud Sword and a map, and Ye Qiubai obtained the Heavenly Dipper Dark-Bright Wood from the Azure Wood Sect after Elder Yao treated him in the Primal Spirit Pool.
• Ye Qiubai reached Divine Mystic Island, joined the Black Fire Branch, and defeated Commander Ren in the trials that earned him guest elder status.
• Ye Qiubai helped the Black Fire Branch collect Divine Fire Stones, then climbed the Divine Mystic Fire Tree and drove rival commanders from his path.
• Ye Qiubai reached the tree's summit, subdued the Divine Mystic Fire Soul, and later obtained the Core of the Heavenly Spirit Heart before returning to Jade Qilin City.
• Ye Qiubai gave Mo Xun the rare materials, collected the remaining materials from the Ai Clan, and sailed into the Qingming Sea aboard Mo Xun's new ship.

Ye Qiubai won the Azure Cloud Sword Master's inheritance and escaped the clans with Lu Changsheng's help, while the Mortal Realm prepared for the Six Realms Students Exchange. Ning Chenxin challenged the Buddhist Sect over its use of faith, but returned to find Cold Soil Village destroyed and set out to confront the sect.

• Ye Qiubai defeated Li Che and Xuanyuan Suxian, claimed the inheritance, and refused the Xuanyuan Clan and Ringing Sword Li Clan when they tried to take it from him.
• Lu Changsheng rescued Ye Qiubai, killed the four Divine Realm experts pursuing him, and sent him back toward the Mortal Realm.
• Jiu Bailu gave Mu Fusheng resources for Azure Firmament Academy and sought a place in the competition as the academy chose and trained its candidates.
• Ning Chenxin rejected Miao Yizhen's demand that the Mortal Realm withdraw from the exchange, then traveled to the Cangxuan Continent to investigate the Buddhist Sect.
• Ning Chenxin debated Dabei in Cold Soil Village, broke through to the Late-Stage Ancestor Realm, and convinced Dabei to investigate the Buddhist Sect's conduct, but Abbot Jingxuan sealed Dabei beneath a golden bell.
• Lu Changsheng trained the exchange contestants, while Huang Qian began her Divine Realm lightning tribulation and Hong Ying and Ning Chenxin led the Mortal Realm delegation to the Chaos Realm.
• The Mo Clan patriarch explained the God Ascension Ruins ranking trial, and Ning Chenxin left the Mo Clan to return to the Buddhist Sect's territory.
• Ning Chenxin found Cold Soil Village in ruins and learned Shanchuan had died, then destroyed the Buddha statue and headed toward the Buddhist Sect's tallest mountain.
