At the competition, Ye Qiubai defeated Zhan Tianxing, and Mu Fusheng killed three Boundless Sect disciples after breaking their formation.

• Mu Fusheng deciphered the nine talismans guarding the Holy Talisman Mystic Thunder Brush, claimed it, and created the Profound Yin Lightning Shield Talisman to pass the Spirit of the Holy Talisman's test.
• The Spirit of the Holy Talisman agreed to help Mu Fusheng, and the sect master asked him to lead the Holy Talisman Sect while keeping the ancestral grounds secret.

Mu Fusheng, Xiao Hei, and Ye Qiubai led their factions through the finals, defeating powerful opponents to secure places in Severed Soul City. The arc ended with Ye Qiubai facing Su Muyou in a clash between his enormous sword and her awakened cauldron.

• Mu Fusheng and Xiao Hei killed disciples from the Boundless Sect and Blazing Sun Valley, prompting their leaders to plot against Xiao Hei, but the Immortal Ape Village chief killed the three leaders who attacked him.
• As the finals began, Avici Purgatory defeated the Howling Sea Sect brutally, while the Su Clan secured a victory over Raging Thunder Hall.
• Ye Qiubai led Heavenly Sword Peak against the Spirit Immortal Palace, broke through Gu Xi’s Sword Intent after advancing his cultivation, and won the team battle.

After Heavenly Sword Peak won the Ten Thousand Domains Grand Competition, Severed Soul City opened and Ye Qiubai, Mu Fusheng, and Xiao Hei faced dangerous soul trials and inheritance battles. Ye Qiubai won the Immortal Sword inheritance, while Xiao Hei resisted Pan Xie’s assault and forced him to flee.

• Ye Qiubai defeated Su Muyou, and Heavenly Sword Peak secured first place in the competition as Avici Purgatory conceded.
• Severed Soul City’s entry restrictions were lifted, and factions gathered as the city opened and Yuezheng Chi arrived there.
• Ye Qiubai uncovered the city’s soul-haunting trials and joined other sword cultivators in a secret realm, where he exposed and killed the possessed Zhuang Zidong.
• Mu Fusheng outmaneuvered the possessed Ning Xi with prepared talismans and destroyed him with a Heavenly Immortal-grade talisman.
• Ye Qiubai survived the sword trial, defeated Su Hao and Yuezheng Chi, then killed Qiu Lu to claim the stone sword inheritance.

Xiao Hei, Ye Qiubai, and their allies advanced through Severed Soul City as Avici Purgatory freed the Purgatory Ancestor and targeted Xiao Hei’s body. Lu Changsheng rescued and transformed Little Bird, then dealt with the Jin Family’s attack on her and Xiao Shitou. The arc ended with Yuezheng Chi entering Demon King City to propose an assault on Purgatory City.

• Pan Xie escaped, and Qu Sheng revealed his identity to Xiao Hei, gave him the Earth Core Black Flame, and asked him to avenge the Black Flame Devil Lion Race.
• Ye Qiubai received a second dantian from the inheritance elder, then traveled toward Severed Soul City’s center as Avici Purgatory harvested cultivators’ souls.
• Lu Changsheng learned the Mortal Realm’s seal would break in ten days, then answered Little Bird’s plea and rescued her from four cultivators seeking her bloodline.
• Lu Changsheng fused Little Bird’s Dragon Emperor and Divine Phoenix bloodlines with his own blood essence, and she transformed into Huang Qian at the peak of the God Lord Realm.
