Power Progression

Stage / Realm / Level Chapter Notes
Body Tempering Fourth Grade 1 2 3 His original cultivation before the system began re-tempering his body.
Black Iron Battle Body unlocked 1 Obtained the Sixteen-Foot Golden Body through a beginner draw, but insufficient physical strength sealed its higher stages. The available transformation raised his strength to at least 600 kg.
Level reset to None 2 His system panel no longer recognized his previous fourth-grade cultivation. Spending points began tempering previously neglected parts of his body.
Perfect First Grade 2 Reached after spending 100 Energy Points. Became strong enough to kill fourth-grade beasts with single punches.
Perfect Third Grade 3 Continued upgrading with points from slain beasts. Could exert 700 kg of force with the Black Iron Battle Body.
Perfect Fourth Grade 4 Perfected bone tempering. Reported strength reached 600 kg normally and 900 kg while transformed.
Perfect Fifth Grade 4 Continued upgrading his physical foundation; the text states that he could clash head-on with ordinary ninth-grade Body Tempering martial artists.
Perfect Eighth Grade 4 Finished a round of upgrades costing 3,000 Energy Points. Physical strength was reported as 1,200 jin.
Basic Fist Technique and Basic Footwork: minor accomplishment 6 Upgraded both techniques to use his strength more efficiently rather than relying entirely on raw power.
Mad Demon Staff Technique: Level 1 9 Learned the manual taken from Chen Qiang and upgraded it once, adding roughly 100 kg of arm strength.
Mad Demon Staff Technique: Level 4 10 Increased his reported strength beyond 1,600 kg and filled the foundation his body could support at that stage.
Perfect Ninth Grade / peak Body Tempering 10 28 Tempered the conception and governing vessels and began sensing ambient Primordial Power. His perfected ninth-grade cultivation is explicitly confirmed later.
Blood-Burning Art mastered 28 Spent 5,000 Energy Points on its single level, gaining the ability to burn his blood essence at will.
Integrated physical force; Qi Sea First Layer 28 29 Upgraded the Bull Demon Body-Forging Art until his strength condensed into force, then opened his Qi Sea. Its capacity reached roughly one hundred times that of an ordinary newly advanced cultivator.
Bull Demon Body-Forging Art: Level 9, perfection 33 Raised the art from Level 6 to perfection and received the physical body enhancement trait.
Mad Demon Staff Technique: Level 7, perfection 33 Received the arm strength enhancement trait and completed the foundation needed for another realm breakthrough.
Qi Sea Second Layer 33 Spent his remaining points to advance. His Qi Sea expanded several times beyond its previous size.
Bronze Battle Body 33 34 Sufficient physical strength triggered an automatic upgrade from the Black Iron Battle Body. Transformed attack power reached the Qi Sea Seventh Layer.
Azure Jade Body Tempering Art: Level 5 40 Used his saved Energy Points to strengthen his physique. Consuming the Essence-Augmenting Pill afterward supplied 10,000 more Energy Points rather than a documented realm increase.
Azure Jade Body Tempering Art: Level 7 46 Upgraded after consuming two pills looted from Chen Ao, which provided 5,000 Energy Points.

Background / History

Childhood and His Father's Death

Lin Feng grew up with his father in an old house in a rundown alley in Yang City. He had no memories of his mother. After his father died fighting beasts, Lin Feng swore to kill every last beast; his father's contributions also enabled him to attend the Third Martial School 1 3 18.

He treasured both his childhood home and his only photograph with his father. Damage to that photograph later provoked his confrontation with the Chen Clan 18 42 43.

Live-Combat Trial and System Awakening

During the school's wilderness trial, Chen Qiang brought Lin Feng along as an expendable meat shield and left him among attacking beasts. While being torn apart, Lin Feng gained access to a system and claimed three guaranteed beginner draws: the Undying and Indestructible Buff, the Ignore Pain Buff, and the Sixteen-Foot Golden Body divine ability 1 11.

Fully restored, he killed the surrounding beasts and began rebuilding his cultivation through perfect body tempering. Hunting supplied Energy Points, while upgrading martial techniques taught him to apply his growing strength more effectively 2 3 4 6.

When Chen Qiang, Chen Sheng, and Hu Xia encountered him again, Lin Feng pretended that an expert had rescued him and given him a valuable crystal core. Their attempt to seize it ended with all three dead. Chen Qiang's storage ring supplied Lin Feng with his first substantial storage space and the Mad Demon Staff Technique 7 8 9.

Conflict with the School and the Chen Clan

At the trial's gathering point, Chen Wen questioned him about Chen Qiang, then attacked him from behind. Lin Feng retaliated and severely injured him. Teacher Wu Xiao intervened on Chen Wen's behalf and tried to cripple Lin Feng, only to be overpowered by his battle-body transformation 11 12 13 14 15.

Huang Wei intervened after recognizing Lin Feng's divine ability. He ordered Wu Xiao's cultivation crippled and expelled him, but Chen Wen escaped. Chen Ao subsequently sent the assassin Black Fox, who pierced Lin Feng's heart. Lin Feng resurrected ten seconds later and tore the assassin apart 16 17 18.

Black Wind Bandits and the Qi Sea Breakthrough

After selling beast crystal cores, Lin Feng spent approximately 300,000 credits on three crystal core bombs. Bandits who noticed his storage ring followed him toward the Redbud Mountain Range, where he defeated them and forced Old Huang to reveal their base 19 20 21 22.

Lin Feng slaughtered the bandits but initially could not overcome their leader, Hu Ke: his immense physical strength had not yet condensed into force capable of matching Primordial Power. He instead embraced Hu Ke while detonating a crystal core bomb. The explosion destroyed Lin Feng's body and crippled Hu Ke; Lin Feng returned unharmed and finished him 23 24 25 26 27.

Hu Ke's possessions supplied the Bull Demon Body-Forging Art and Blood-Burning Art. Their upgrades transformed Lin Feng's physical strength into integrated force and enabled his breakthrough to the Qi Sea Realm 27 28.

Gene Cult Encounter

While pursuing unusually intelligent wolf-type beasts, Lin Feng encountered black-robed genetic warriors. Their leader wanted his powerful body as experimental material. Lin Feng killed the group, including its beast-transforming leader, who murdered ordinary people in front of him 30 31 32.

Afterward, Lin Feng buried the victims and burned the genetic-modification books. The Energy Points from the battle allowed him to perfect two arts, reach Qi Sea Second Layer, and unlock the Bronze Battle Body 33.

School Rewards and Pill Conversion

Huang Wei rewarded Lin Feng with the Azure Jade Body Tempering Art, the Ten Wave-Breaking Forms, and an Essence-Augmenting Pill. Qian Wei demanded the pill at the school gates, acting on the encouragement of his uncle, Li Lin. Lin Feng defeated him by catching his saber barehanded and slapping him unconscious 36 37 39.

At home, Lin Feng discovered that consuming the pill yielded 10,000 Energy Points. This opened another route to upgrading, although the high cost of pills made earning money a new priority 40.

Destruction of the Chen Clan's Main Opponents

Chen Wen and the Chen Clan steward, Uncle Fu, broke into Lin Feng's home while he was away. On finding his home ransacked and his treasured photograph damaged, Lin Feng obtained surveillance access and went to confront them 41 42 43.

After Uncle Fu admitted breaking the photograph, Lin Feng tore off his arm and killed him. He carried Chen Wen outside Yang City to draw out Chen Ao without fighting a highly destructive battle inside the city. Lin Feng killed Chen Wen in front of his father, then used the Blood-Burning Art to shatter Chen Ao's spear and kill him 44 45 46.

Zhao Huan's Betrayal

During another expedition into the Redbud Mountain Range, Lin Feng killed a wolf king and demanded payment from Zhao Huan. Zhao Huan refused and ordered his guards to seize Lin Feng's storage ring, while Zhao Xiaotong urged his death 46 49.

Lin Feng killed the ordinary guards, but the Blood-Burning Art's aftereffects suddenly weakened him. After the guard captain severed his remaining hand, Lin Feng used Primordial Power to burst his own heart and stopped breathing. His subsequent resurrection is not shown in the supplied account 49.

Appearance

  • Normal form: Thin and frail-looking, with an appearance sharply contrasting his transformed physique 16.
  • Black Iron Battle Body: Approximately 2.5 meters tall, heavily muscled, and covered in a dark, metallic sheen 1 14.
  • Approaching the bronze upgrade: Brass-colored streaks appeared on the Black Iron Battle Body as his physique strengthened 29.
  • Transformation drawback: His enlarging body repeatedly tears ordinary clothing, prompting him to seek clothes that can expand with him 9 14 41.

Personality

Lin Feng is boastful, confrontational, and uninterested in concealing his strength. He wants to become the strongest and considers public recognition preferable to quietly hiding his achievements. In combat, he favors overwhelming physical power over elaborate moves 2 10 35 40.

He holds grudges, particularly against people who ambush him. He mocks and deceives enemies before killing them, and he is willing to eliminate their powerful supporters rather than leave future threats behind. His immortality also encourages tactics that would be suicidal for anyone else 7 8 12 26 45.

His ruthlessness coexists with strong attachment to his father and anger at atrocities against ordinary people. He buries the Gene Cult's victims, appreciates Huang Wei's help, and intends to repay genuine kindness 18 31 32 33 36.

Lin Feng enjoys roasting beast meat even though he no longer needs food to survive. He also takes particular pleasure in looting defeated enemies, comparing the surprises favorably to prize draws 6 8 29.

Abilities & Skills

Undying and Indestructible Buff

  • Prevents permanent death according to its system description 1.
  • Restores him after lethal injuries, including a pierced heart and destruction by a crystal core bomb 18 26.
  • Allows him to recover from hunger and fatigue by deliberately inflicting a fatal injury on himself 4.
  • Does not make his body impossible to injure or dismember; severe wounds and temporary incapacitation remain possible 25 49.
  • One documented resurrection takes ten seconds 18.

Ignore Pain Buff

  • Obtained through his second beginner draw 1.
  • Lets him endure injuries without feeling pain, including damage suffered against Hu Ke 25.
  • Does not prevent blood loss, injury, or the weakening caused by the Blood-Burning Art 25 49.

System and Energy Points

  • Energy Points fund lottery draws, cultivation increases, and technique upgrades 1 2 9.
  • Killing beasts and hostile martial artists supplies points 2 21 33.
  • Consuming pills provides another source: an Essence-Augmenting Pill yields 10,000 points, while two unidentified pills yield 5,000 40 46.
  • Reading manuals adds techniques to his panel; upgrades grant both practical understanding and physical benefits 6 9 40.
  • Perfected techniques become instinctive and remain usable after disappearing from the skill list 33.
  • His body must be able to support its strengthened foundation before he can continue advancing 10 28.

Sixteen-Foot Golden Body

  • Its higher stages are sealed until his physical strength is sufficient 1.
  • Black Iron Battle Body: Amplifies strength and, especially, defense. Fourth-grade beasts cannot pierce his skin, and Wu Xiao's sword fails to injure him 2 14 15.
  • Bronze Battle Body: Automatically replaces the Black Iron form after his physique meets its requirements 33.
  • With the Bronze Battle Body active, his raw attack power reaches the Qi Sea Seventh Layer. Adding the Blood-Burning Art makes him competitive with nearly all ordinary Qi Sea opponents, though exceptional geniuses may still challenge him 34.

Physical Cultivation and Primordial Power

  • Bull Demon Body-Forging Art: A mid-grade Yellow-rank art that condenses scattered strength into internal force, allowing physical attacks to contend with Primordial Power 27 28.
  • Physical body enhancement: A trait awarded for perfecting the Bull Demon Body-Forging Art 33.
  • Azure Jade Body Tempering Art: The Third Martial School's strongest body-tempering art; its stated major-mastery effect is a body as hard as jade. Lin Feng reaches Level 7 36 46.
  • Enlarged Qi Sea: His initial Qi Sea reaches approximately one hundred times an ordinary cultivator's capacity and expands further at Second Layer 28 33.
  • Enhanced senses: His Qi Sea breakthrough sharpens his senses enough to notice a distant wolf king's mocking expression 30.

Martial Techniques

  • Basic Fist Technique: Corrects inefficient punching mechanics and helps him apply his strength effectively 6.
  • Basic Footwork: Upgraded to minor accomplishment alongside his fist technique 6.
  • Mad Demon Staff Technique: Strengthens his arms as it levels; perfection grants the arm strength enhancement trait. Its staff moves require an actual staff, which he lacks during his fight with Wu Xiao 10 14 33.
  • Ten Wave-Breaking Forms: A mid-grade Yellow-rank staff technique learned from the school reward. No upgraded level is documented in the supplied chapters 36 40.

Blood-Burning Art

  • Burns blood essence for a temporary increase in strength; burning more produces a stronger but shorter-lived boost 28.
  • Normally risks serious injury, destroyed meridians, and death through depleted blood essence 28.
  • Helps Lin Feng kill Chen Ao, but its aftereffects can leave him helpless before he restores himself through death and resurrection 46 49.

Equipment / Weapons / Items
