History

Founding in Silvia City

Xiao Yu establishes Nine Stars Hall after assembling a core team through the system’s summoning cards. He chooses the name because Saints and Underworld Fighters possess corresponding constellations, while “nine” represents the ultimate number between heaven and earth. His stated ambition is to make the sect the foremost power in the Douluo world 18 20.

The hall’s first major victory is the destruction of Dragon Peak Sect, which had dominated Silvia City for more than a decade. Xiao Yu orders surrendered offenders punished, distributes wealth to the oppressed, and has guilty disciples delivered to their victims’ families. Nine Stars Hall takes over the defeated sect’s grounds, rebuilds its gates, and eliminates other locally hated sects, gaining both public support and substantial wealth 20 21.

Recruitment and Regional Expansion

Soul Tool technology becomes the foundation of the hall’s industrial expansion. Xiao Yu recruits Divine Blacksmith Lou Gao by presenting a high-grade design and promising access to the sect’s Soul Tool knowledge. Most of the Blacksmiths’ Association follows him, while its existing holdings become the hall’s Gengxin City branch 24 25.

Xiao Yu then recruits Yang Wudi’s Breaking Clan through access to Immortal Herbs, including Aromatic Silk Beauty, while allowing the clan to retain its secret medicine-making and pill-refinement arts. Dugu Bo and the Nine Hearted Begonia Family subsequently join, strengthening the sect’s poison-related expertise and healing support 40 50 74.

The planned Heaven Dou City branch is built around the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well in Sunset Forest. Xiao Yu considers Silvia suitable for quietly building strength, but too remote for his later ambitions. Yang Wudi initially oversees the new site, with Dugu Bo later sharing responsibility 42 50 53.

Academy Success and Further Recruitment

Nine Stars Academy’s victory in the All-Continent Advanced Spirit Master Competition gives the hall a major recruitment opportunity. Independent Spirit Masters begin joining, and Xiao Yu uses the resulting momentum to expand the sect’s influence 180 188.

Yang Wudi’s efforts to recruit the Defense and Speed Clans culminate in their entry after Saga rescues Niu Gao and Bai He from Tang Hao. The Strength Clan remains outside the hall and hostile to it 188 195.

Soul Hunting Operation

Nine Stars Hall anticipates Spirit Hall’s attack on its Sunset Forest branch. Intelligence from multiple cities and the disappearance of Snake Lance and Pufferfish Douluo alert Xiao Yu to the approaching operation. He strengthens patrols and supplies them with Reconnaissance Alarm Soul Tools 262.

The prepared defenders repel the assault and launch a disciplined counterattack. Spirit Hall’s later report records more than three thousand casualties among the five thousand attackers initially assigned to Sunset Forest, as well as the deaths of the Third Enshrinement and Elder Mad Rhino 264 281.

Xiao Yu declines to pursue the withdrawing army. With only a little over two thousand combat-ready Soul Masters present and many of his strongest experts cultivating in the Netherworld, he judges a complete encirclement too costly. He also wants Spirit Hall to continue checking the hostile Clear Sky Sect alliance 277.

Imperial Alliance and Conquest

After the Soul Hunting Operation, Xue Ye chooses Nine Stars Hall as an ally despite Ning Fengzhi’s objections. A marriage-alliance arrangement raises Xiao Yu’s imperial standing, and the Sunset Forest branch becomes the hall’s main headquarters with Heaven Dou’s financial and political support 282 284 292.

By the attack on Spirit City, Xiao Yu is both Hall Master and regent of the Heaven Dou Empire. He leads a combined force of more than ten thousand elite Soul Masters into the capital after its gates are opened from within. Nine Stars Hall’s Soul Engineer Legion uses Heavy Soul Tools against the defending Sacred Dragon Legion 329.

Following Spirit Hall’s defeat, Xiao Yu annexes its territories and controls both the Heaven Dou Empire and the former Spirit Hall Empire. Qian Daoliu manages Spirit Hall’s affairs on his behalf 339.
