Background / History

Xiao Yu was originally a man in his twenties before transmigrating into the body of a four-year-old orphan in a remote city of the Sylvia Kingdom. Drawing on knowledge of the original story and Yu Xiaogang’s theories, he began physical training years before his Martial Soul awakening. He also resolved not to attract the attention of Spirit Hall before acquiring sufficient strength. 1 2

At six, Xiao Yu awakened the Underworld Apostle Martial Soul with Innate Full Soul Power. Its manifestation gave him black wings, pitch-black armor, faint green eyes, and a black sword. His system subsequently began issuing ring-acquisition missions and summoning powerful followers. 4

He enrolled at Bright Mirror Soul Master Academy at age seven, entering with Level 13 Soul Power and a century-old first Spirit Ring. He later became the strongest student of Elite Class Two, where he met Ye Lingling and formed the beginning of a lasting bond with her. 7 11 12

After leaving the academy, Xiao Yu began building the foundation for his own organization. He accumulated summoned allies, acquired the Sanctuary Legion Card, and established Nine Stars Hall as both a sect-like power and the basis for a future academy. 18 19
