The words "dead" were like an ice-cold knife, piercing precisely into Jean Grey's heart.
The anticipation, tension, and fear on her face all froze in an instant, then peeled away inch by inch like shattered glass.
"How could this be..." she murmured, as if she couldn't comprehend the meaning of those three words at all, "Impossible..."
Before she could finish speaking, it was as if all her bones had been removed; she instantly lost her support and collapsed to the ground, limp and powerless.
Peter-B felt a pang of sympathy upon seeing her like this, and instinctively wanted to step forward to help her up and offer a few words of comfort.
Don't go.
Robert's voice wasn't loud, but it carried an undeniable force. He reached out and stopped Peter-B.
"Her abilities are about to fully awaken; it's very dangerous."
Almost simultaneously, the nano bracelet on Morgan's wrist suddenly glowed red, Allen's clear, childlike voice rang out, but his tone was more serious than ever before. "Warning, high-risk energy reaction detected! Estimated minimum awakening range for the target—fifty kilometers!"
Buzz--!
A piercing buzzing sound rang in both Peter ' heads simultaneously, like someone was drilling into their temples with an electric drill. Their Spider-Sense were completely overloaded at that moment, throbbing wildly as if they were about to explode.
Peter-A's expression changed, and he immediately looked at Robert: " Bob, can we take her away? To a less crowded place!"
Robert didn't speak, he just nodded.
He took a step forward and waved to Jean Grey, who was slumped on the ground, her body beginning to radiate a red aura of energy.
The next second, the people in the alley, along with Jean Grey, vanished from the spot.
When they finally found themselves on solid ground again, they were on a lonely island.
However, before anyone could catch their breath, an indescribable and terrifying psychic power erupted from Jean Grey, instantly engulfing the entire island!
Rumble--!
All the tall trees on the island were uprooted in an instant and then twisted into pieces by an invisible force, with wood chips flying everywhere.
Immediately afterwards, this force, undiminished, spread outwards across the surrounding sea, creating towering waves tens of meters high!
Robert's expression finally turned a little serious.
He stood in front of the crowd, raised his hand and gently waved it in front of him. A semi-transparent golden energy barrier appeared out of thin air, steadily blocking the oncoming giant waves and wood chips.
"So..." Peter-B, looking at the apocalyptic scene before him, swallowed hard. "Do you have any good ideas now?"
"Let's see what Bob does." Peter-A pointed to Robert, who stood calmly beside him, then to Jean Grey, who was slowly levitating in mid-air, and shrugged. "Do you think she's in a condition where she can still listen to advice?"
He sighed and continued:
"Although my suit can activate a device to block Telepathy, she's knocked down all the trees, so there's nowhere for my Silk to shoot. Without a high vantage point or leverage, Spider-Man's advantage is greatly diminished, so I have to leave it to Bob."
In the few seconds it took them to talk, Robert and Jean Grey had already started fighting.
Or rather, it was Robert was unilaterally suppressing the situation.
Jean Grey, now fully awakened, is undoubtedly powerful; her mental energy materializes, and the waves and storms she unleashes are enough to tear an aircraft carrier apart.
But she was facing Sentry Robert, a completely unreasonable and abnormal monster.
No matter how much turmoil the piano stirred up, or how terrifying the mental impact it generated, Robert simply hovered quietly in the air, his golden energy aura acting as an absolute domain, annihilating all attacks.
After roughly probing the limits of his opponent's strength, Robert seemed to lose patience as well.
He raised his hand and shook hands with Jean G., who was wildly unleashing her power in the distance.
The golden energy instantly transformed into several chains, precisely binding Jean Grey's limbs and torso, forcibly pulling her down from mid-air.
Peter-A seized the opportunity, immediately took out a small, round metal piece from the storage bracelet on his wrist, strode forward, and "snap" it onto the back of Jean Grey's neck.
That's a superpower suppressor specially made by Stark Industries.
As the metal plate glowed with a faint blue light, the violent energy emanating from Jean Grey dissipated rapidly, like a punctured balloon.
However, even with her abilities sealed, the anger in her eyes did not diminish in the slightest.
"Let me go! You bastards! You're in cahoots with them!" She struggled frantically, yelling at Robert and the two Peter, "It's all your fault! If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be..."
She cursed the Damage Control, cursed this unjust world, and eventually dragged Peter and the others who wanted to help her into the chorus of curses.
Dr. Banner opened his mouth, wanting to say something to comfort her, but looking at the girl's face, twisted with tears and anger, he ultimately sighed and said nothing.
He had also experienced the pain of losing a loved one.
One time it was Natasha, and the other time it was Tony.
He knew that at times like these, words were inadequate.
Peter-B was completely bewildered by what he saw.
He now understands why some villains are so extreme.
He couldn't help but start making plans in his mind.
Should we put Jean Grey in jail now?
Given the destructive power she displayed today and her disregard for the lives of ordinary people, she will definitely become a complete supervillain when she gets out.
Even if the Damage Control really has problems, the director should be imprisoned through legal means.
But this clearly did little to quell Qin's anger.
"Isn't there any other way?" He looked at the several heroes beside him from the multiverse, who were more powerful and knowledgeable than himself. "Could it be... that we could really resurrect her sister?"
His words carried a hint of helplessness and wishful thinking.
Upon hearing the word "resurrection," Peter-A, who had been standing to the side, suddenly fell silent.
After a while, he spoke, his tone somewhat uncertain. "Resurrection... isn't entirely out of the question."
He paused, as if recalling something. "I heard Mr. Stark mention before that his parents were resurrected by Thor from another universe. Of course, I'm not familiar with that Thor."
"What?!" Dr. Banner was the first to be shocked. "Resurrect the dead? Is that really possible?"
Peter-A didn't answer directly, but instead ordered his AI: " Karen, search the Frost City database for services related to 'resurrection' or 'wish fulfillment'."
"Searching... Search complete." Karen's voice quickly rang out, "The ' Asgard Wish Temple ' in Frost City offers ultimate wish-granting services. For a fee of one million Contribution Points, one wish can be granted unconditionally, including but not limited to resurrecting the dead, gaining superpowers, and reshaping reality."
Peter-B was dumbfounded. "What the hell? Are you serious? Resurrected people can have a price tag?"
This completely overturned his understanding.
"You can understand it that way," Peter-A explained.
" Frost City is a city established by the more powerful Thor in the Knowhere beyond the multiverse. You earn Contribution Points by completing quests, working, or making other significant contributions in that city. Once you have enough Contribution Points, he can grant you one wish."
Seeing Peter-B's utterly shattered expression, he added, "Forget about resurrection, as long as you Contribution Points, you can even become Superman and have Superman's powers."
"Wait!" Peter-B's attention was instantly diverted. "You mean Superman... is it really the Superman I'm thinking of? You mean that... alien who wears his underwear on the outside?"
Peter-A. nodded and said in a very casual tone, "That's right, it's that Kryptonian, and there's more than one Superman in Frost City."
