After listening to Wilt, Klein looked utterly bewildered.
"What do you mean, you were corrupted and forced to become a Beyonder of three Pathways?"
"Why do I understand every word you're saying, but not what they mean together?"
Fortunately, Wilt didn't continue speaking in riddles. Instead, he carefully explained how it had all begun:
"To start with, I was an ordinary resident of the Rorsted Archipelago, until one day Amon parasitized me..."
Wilt then told him how Amon had parasitized him and turned him into an avatar. Concealing his identity as a transmigrator, he made up a story about finding a Sarira from the Western Continent while exploring ruins and being corrupted by a Sefirah, only for his original consciousness to awaken as a blessing in disguise.
He went on to tell him how he had been corrupted by an existence in the starry sky, but had fortunately received help from a Holy Monk of the Western Continent, allowing him to seal the corruption and survive. In the end, he met Amon's true body and his older brother, and ultimately had no choice but to follow three Sequences at once.
It took Wilt a full quarter of an hour to tell the whole story. When he finished, Klein was utterly shocked.
The Western Continent!
There's actually a Western Continent in this world!
Where is the Western Continent? Why do neither the Northern nor Southern Continents have any records of it? And the Holy Monk lineage Wilt mentioned sounds like Buddhism from my previous life. What on earth is going on?
Could it be that I didn't transmigrate into a Western world resembling the Victorian era, but a world that mixes East and West?
His shock at the Western Continent made Klein subconsciously overlook the other important information. All he wanted now was to find out what the Western Continent was really like.
Just then, Klein felt a pain in his head. He had consumed too much Spirituality and was starting to overdraw it.
Klein touched his forehead and decided that, no matter what, he had to get Wilt to join the Tarot Club today. Only then could he get more information about the Western Continent from him in the future.
So Klein said to Wilt:
"People like you have formed a gathering here called the Tarot Club."
"They discuss matters, share information, and make transactions with one another."
"This place is well hidden and generally can't be detected by others. I also provide protection and convenience for their transactions. Would you like to join them?"
Wilt was taken aback. He remembered that Klein hadn't said nearly so much when inviting people to join in the original story.
Something's wrong when things are out of the ordinary. Klein isn't planning to get information out of me for free later, is he?
Even so, Wilt decided to accept. After all, being able to come to Sefirah Castle to get rid of corruption every week was quite nice.
Wait, if Sefirah Castle can get rid of corruption, the Key of Light should be able to do it too, right?
Then why have I hardly ever entered the Key of Light? Was I subconsciously worried that Adam might observe me without my noticing, so I deliberately entered it less often?
Whatever he was thinking, Wilt quickly accepted Klein's invitation. He bowed slightly and said, flattered:
"Thank you for the invitation, Your Excellency. I choose to join."
A smile appeared on Klein's face. "You may call me the Fool."
Tap! Klein tapped a finger, and tarot cards appeared before Wilt.
"They all use tarot cards as their codenames. Pick one you like. Justice and the Hanged Man have already been chosen."
Wilt reached out and picked a card at random. He trusted Sefirah Castle's choice, and he was also curious:
Leaving the Dancer Pathway aside, of the other two Pathways, Monster represents the Wheel of Fortune and Marauder represents The Lovers. But I have the Key of Light Sefirah, so the Wheel of Fortune is more likely.
Wilt turned over the card in his hand, a trace of surprise in his eyes. It was The Lovers!
That can't be right. Why is it The Lovers?
But Wilt's surprise was short-lived, and he soon accepted reality.
Still, this works out nicely. From now on, whether it's Justice Audrey, the salted fish Fors, Hermit Cattleya, or Judgement Xio, they'll all have to obediently call me Mr. Lovers at the Tarot Club!
Watching the color representing pleasure suddenly intensify around Wilt, Klein fell silent. He understood what Wilt was thinking.
I was careless. I should have turned all the cards into the Wheel of Fortune just now...
Forgive me, Miss Justice. This wasn't what I intended.
Feeling his head hurt more and more, Klein promptly sent Wilt offline:
"The gathering is held at three in the afternoon every Monday, Backlund time. Remember to find a quiet place and prepare in advance."
Then Klein kicked Wilt out of Sefirah Castle, and afterward left it himself.
At 2 Daffodil Street, Klein opened his eyes in his room and rubbed his aching, swollen head. "I didn't expect my Spirituality to be consumed so quickly. It seems I'll have to keep the Tarot Club gatherings as short as possible from now on."
"As for Mr. Azik, judging from the information I have, before he died... no, before, he should have been a powerful figure. He just lost his memory for some unknown reason."
"Perhaps I can write to Mr. Azik and ask him about the Western Continent. He might have a lead."
With that, Klein trudged over to his desk.
Meanwhile, Wilt also opened his eyes in his room at the inn.
He had just sat up in bed when a look of astonishment appeared on his face, because he saw an unexpected sight.
Madam D was sitting beside his bed. Another person lay on the floor: Trissy, whose entire body was bound by shadows and whose face wore an expression of anger and humiliation.
Wilt: "..."
Wilt tried to make sense of the situation in the room, but failed. He simply couldn't understand what the two of them were doing together, or why they were in his room.
At that moment, Madam D turned to look at Wilt. Seeing that he was awake, she pointed at Trissy on the floor and said indifferently:
"I came here to pass on some matters from Lanevus and happened to run into this Demoness preparing to ambush you, so I subdued her!"
"Mmph, mmph, mmph~" Trissy struggled desperately on the floor, trying to speak, but the shadows covered her mouth tightly.
Wilt rubbed his forehead and first asked Madam D, "Are things going smoothly on Lanevus's end?"
"Everything is going smoothly."
"The main members of the New Party in Tingen City have all agreed to Earl Corodo and Mayor Dennis's plan."
"But somehow, the New Party in Backlund found out about it. They contacted Earl Corodo and Mayor Dennis, intending to join in and use this matter to attack the prime minister and Duke Negan."
"Because this goes beyond the original plan, Lanevus wants to ask for your opinion."
Something's wrong. Something's very, very wrong!
How did the plan in Tingen City reach Backlund?
Wilt immediately grew alert. He thought of what Klein had just told him in Sefirah Castle.
"Your fate shows signs of having been manipulated!"
