Background / History

Lu Jingming became City Lord of Haiyuan City while still a child after his father died defending the city from Sea Soul Beasts. Noble factions attempted to seize control of the weakened City Lord’s Mansion and attack its Zhang-family allies. 2

Using True Authority, he summoned Jing Liu, whose strength crushed the rebellion, and later summoned Chang Li to handle the political and administrative work necessary to stabilize the city. 4 He subsequently developed Haiyuan City around Soul Tool technology, the Simulated Universe, and the inventions of the Great Black Tower. 5

Concerned that an ordinary inherited Martial Soul would limit his future, Lu Jingming and the Great Black Tower implanted the origin of the Key of Creation, Black Abyss White Flower, into his bloodline. During his awakening, it devoured and replaced the Lu family’s ancestral Martial Soul. 6

As Haiyuan City expanded, Lu Jingming increasingly used its technology, military strength, and political connections to challenge the existing continental order. He eventually gained complete control of the Star Luo Empire’s military and political apparatus before Xu Jiawei formally abdicated in his favor. 435 474 After more than a century leading the Star Sea Alliance’s expansion across fantasy planes, he passed its leadership to his son Lu Xingtong and departed the known universe with his family. 489
