Back at Bulma's home in West City, everyone sat down on the sofa. Goku looked at Aku and Izu, then turned and asked,
"Where are you planning to live?"
The couple exchanged a look and thought it over before deciding to live in the city.
After all, the city was much more interesting than the countryside.
"We'll stay in West City. We'll buy a house near yours."
They had brought plenty of valuables with them when they left Planet Beyond this time, including a lot of gold.
Gold was actually far less valuable on their planet than it was on Earth, but they had brought a lot of it at Goku's suggestion.
"Near our house? There aren't any particularly large villas around here. This is the very center of West City. Aside from our place, it's all shopping streets and high-rises and things like that."
Hearing what Aku and his wife said, Goku scratched his head and spoke apologetically.
"Is that so?"
Aku was a little disappointed to hear that, but there was nothing he could do. They would have to look elsewhere.
"Then, big brother, where's the villa closest to your house?"
Goku produced an electronic screen from somewhere, tapped it twice, then handed it to Aku.
Aku quickly took it and looked down at the screen.
"How about this one? It's about six kilometers from our house, and the villa sits on a large piece of land. You want to live close to us so you can train with me, right? Six kilometers would only take you a few seconds, so it's still pretty close."
Goku had already picked one out for Aku. He didn't think there was a better choice, so he asked Aku what he thought of it.
Aku looked over the details of the villa, then passed the screen to Izu. Izu took it, looked at it for a while, and nodded.
They both thought the villa was quite nice. It was big enough for the two of them.
"Big brother, let's go with this one."
Goku nodded.
"Then you can go straight to the villa. It's a spare villa my family owns anyway, so you can just move in. In a few days, I'll have your identity documents sorted out. You can come to our house and pick them up then," Bulma said from the side.
A villa was nothing to her, so she gave it to them. She had been quite happy when the two of them called her sister-in-law before, so she treated it as a gift for them.
Most of all, Bulma wanted the two of them to leave quickly and stop disturbing her and Goku.
"All right. Goodbye, big brother, sister-in-law. We'll come back in a few days."
Aku and Izu had clearly caught on to what Bulma wanted. After saying goodbye, they left.
Once they were gone, Bulma looked at Goku. She remembered him saying he had lots of gifts for her.
"Where are the gifts you mentioned?" Bulma glanced at Goku.
Goku immediately understood and took the gifts out of the Hoi-Poi Capsule. In an instant, they formed a small mountain on the floor.
Bulma stared at the mountain of gifts in astonishment. It seemed Goku really hadn't lied to her; there were a lot of them.
She wondered what the gifts could be. How could there be so many?
"Goku, what exactly are all these? Why are there so many?"
Hearing her question, Goku leaned close to Bulma's ear with a mischievous grin and whispered,
"Bulma, let me tell you, these..."
Goku spent a long time explaining. He didn't notice Bulma's face growing redder and redder, mainly because some of the gifts were indecent.
"All right, Goku, let's go back to the bedroom first." With that, Bulma wrapped her arms around Goku's arm and headed for the bedroom.
"Huh? Why are we going to the bedroom?"
Goku clearly didn't understand what Bulma was doing.
"Never mind!" With that, Bulma pulled even harder.
In the bedroom.
"Come on, Bulma, it's still daytime!"
"So what if it's daytime? Who says we can't do it during the day? Or is it that you can't?"
That really made Goku angry. A man wouldn't allow anyone to say he couldn't!
As the saying went, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Besides, they weren't even married yet, and they had spent over a year apart while still deeply in love. They were like dry tinder and a raging fire.
A long while later, Bulma lay on top of Goku, her flushed right cheek resting against the left side of his chest. Her finger kept tracing circles on the right side.
It tickled Goku terribly.
"Stop that, Bulma, it tickles!"
Hearing him say that, Bulma gave a mischievous grin. Not only did she not stop, she did it even more.
Seeing her like that, Goku gave up struggling. Do whatever you want. I'm done trying.
"Oh, right, Bulma, let's get married!"
Goku had actually been thinking about it for a long time, ever since their first time together over a year ago.
Bulma's hand stopped moving. Goku's words caught her off guard; she clearly hadn't expected him to say that so suddenly.
"Okay. When should we hold the wedding, then?"
Bulma's hand slowly started moving in circles again.
"You decide. That's why I asked you."
What Bulma was doing made Goku a little uncomfortable. As for what kind of discomfort it was, those who understood, understood, and those who didn't, didn't. (∩❛ڡ❛∩)
"My mom talked to me about it a while ago too. Let's go talk to her tomorrow."
During the year Goku was in space, Mrs. Brief had talked to Bulma about the two of them, but Bulma hadn't paid it much attention at the time.
"Tomorrow? Can't we do it today?" Goku was a little puzzled.
"Nope, Goku. Now I'm going to reward you!"
Early the next morning, Goku and Bulma went to find Mrs. Brief.
When Mrs. Brief saw them, she gave them both a strange look. They hadn't left their room since the previous afternoon. All she could say was that young people really were full of energy.
"Mom, why are you looking at us like that?" Bulma was a little annoyed by her gaze.
Mrs. Brief couldn't help laughing.
"Haha, I think you two know why, don't you?"
At Mrs. Brief's teasing, Bulma couldn't help blushing a little.
"Mom~" Bulma called out, sounding both coquettish and a little overbearing.
"All right, all right, I'll stop. Was there something you two wanted to talk to me about?" Mrs. Brief had teased them enough, so she turned to business.
Bulma glanced at Goku, signaling for him to speak. Goku was a little embarrassed, but he spoke up anyway.
"Auntie, we came to talk about getting married!"
Goku scratched the back of his head as he spoke awkwardly. After all, anyone would have been a little embarrassed about this.
After he spoke, Goku and Bulma watched Mrs. Brief fall into thought and waited for her to speak.
