Background

Qian Renxue is the granddaughter of Qian Daoliu, Spirit Hall’s Great Enshrined, and the Angel God’s inheritor of her generation. Qian Daoliu keeps her inheritance secret, regarding her safety as paramount both as his beloved granddaughter and as the Qian Family’s sole direct descendant 24 28.

She infiltrates the Heaven Dou Empire by impersonating Crown Prince Xue Qinghe. Within this identity, she treats Emperor Xue Ye as her father, Prince Xue Xing as her imperial uncle, and Ning Fengzhi as her teacher. Xue Xing has obstructed her for years, making his loss of political authority an opportunity to advance her mission 19 20 22.

She is competitive and confident in her ability to win people over. She plans to use Spirit Hall’s botanical records to establish a connection with Beiming Yuan before Ning Fengzhi can do so. While attending the academy’s exchange match as Xue Qinghe, Qian Renxue witnesses Beiming Yuan challenge the Imperial Fighting Team. His level-thirty-five cultivation and extraordinary yellow, purple, and black Soul Rings astonish her and prompt her to consider investigating his origins 14 16.

When Xue Xing attempts to detain him, she secretly orders her protectors to rescue him if necessary. The situation changes when the Snow Empress freezes Xue Xing and overpowers Dugu Bo. Qian Renxue approaches Beiming Yuan despite ice forming on her own body and negotiates for the prince’s survival 18 19.

Her intervention also serves her infiltration: appearing to defend an obstructive imperial uncle preserves her public image while creating an opening to seize his authority 19.

Taking Over Xue Xing’s Responsibilities

Beiming Yuan demands the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud within three days, leaving lethal Ultimate Ice inside Xue Xing as leverage. Back at the palace, Qian Renxue defends Xue Xing before the furious emperor, then recommends compensation and reconciliation rather than retaliation 20 21.

Xue Ye accepts her advice, assigns her to resolve the dispute, and transfers Xue Xing’s academy duties and other responsibilities to her while confining him to the palace. She privately regards Beiming Yuan as her “lucky star” for enabling this political gain 21.

Three days later, she hosts Beiming Yuan at the crown prince’s residence and delivers the Shroud. In return, he agrees not to act against Xue Xing unless the prince provokes him again 22.

Cultivating Beiming Yuan’s Friendship

Qian Renxue gives Beiming Yuan a Crown Prince Token to facilitate his travels. When he requests rare-plant records supposedly for Xue’er, she recognizes an opportunity to offer something valuable through Spirit Hall’s resources 23.

Qian Daoliu orders Snake Lance Douluo to copy Chrysanthemum Douluo’s botanical records and send them to her. She subsequently invites Beiming Yuan to a private meeting and supplies a book containing illustrated descriptions, effects, and consumption methods for Immortal Herbs 24 25.

Beiming Yuan distinguishes friendship with her personally from friendship with Heaven Dou, an arrangement she welcomes. He then argues that Spirit Hall is better suited than either empire to unify the continent. She performs displeasure as the crown prince while privately finding his position gratifying 25 26.

After his departure, she anticipates his eventual surprise at learning her identity, unaware that he already knows it 20 26.

Qian Daoliu’s Intervention

Concerned by the Peerless Douluo near his granddaughter, Qian Daoliu secretly travels to Heaven Dou to protect her and investigate Beiming Yuan. After meeting him, he tells Qian Renxue that Beiming Yuan has both a Peerless Douluo and a Peak Douluo behind him, but is not presently an enemy of Spirit Hall 25 27.

His account of Beiming Yuan’s response to Bibi Dong’s recruitment offer provokes Qian Renxue’s accusation that Beiming Yuan is a playboy. Qian Daoliu warns her about both physical danger and romantic deception; she confidently replies that she will be the one to make Beiming Yuan hers 27 28.

Before leaving, Qian Daoliu reinforces concealment precautions for her protectors and tells her that her life takes precedence over the mission if her identity is exposed 28.
