Background

Beiming Yuan originally came from another world. His body regressed to infancy before a mysterious force transported him to the Douluo Continent, where he fell through the Snow Empress’s palace roof into her cold spring. An ancient mark on his brow released the Ancient Ice God’s presence, stopping her from striking him. She and the Ice Empress adopted him because of that connection 1.

Raised in the Far North, he retained knowledge of the continent’s timeline and future opportunities. Before awakening his Martial Soul at six, he considered using that knowledge to reach godhood; if his talent proved inadequate, he intended to study Soul Tools instead 1 2.

The Ice God Pearl identified him as the Ancient Ice God’s inheritor. His predecessor’s divine weapon, armor, and divine position had shattered in battle, leaving less than a tenth of the legacy intact. Beiming Yuan intends to rebuild that divine position and become the twelfth Ice God 3 4.

Personality

Beiming Yuan is mischievous, provocative, and fond of keeping others in suspense. He and the Ice Empress repeatedly cause trouble together, leaving the Snow Empress to discipline them. His teasing persists even when he knows it will earn him a beating 2 7 9.

His confidence is backed by planning rather than talent alone. He uses his knowledge of the setting to locate treasures, conceals his intentions behind other requests, and exploits the political value of the Empresses’ protection. He can also observe social courtesies when dealing with potential allies 10 20 23.

Despite his acquisitiveness, he places the Empresses above rare resources. He gives them most of the Profound Ice Marrow without hesitation, prioritizing their survival over his own cultivation. He is also openly flirtatious and admits that he wants both their affection and their companionship 12 24.
