Adoption of Beiming Yuan

The Snow Empress first encountered Beiming Yuan when he fell through her palace roof as a human infant and landed in her cold spring. Initially enraged by the intrusion, she stopped herself from attacking after a mark on his forehead released the Ancient Ice God’s presence. Recognizing his connection to the deity worshipped throughout the Far North, she agreed with the Ice Empress to raise him 1.

Six years later, she conducted his Martial Soul awakening. His Ultimate Ice surpassed the purity of her own, and the resulting pillar of light shattered her palace. The appearance of the Ice God Pearl established him as the Ancient Ice God’s inheritor 2 3.

Teacher and Protector

The Snow Empress pledged to help Beiming Yuan become the next Ice God. To protect him while he was weak, she restricted knowledge of his identity to the Three Great Heavenly Kings and selected Soul Beasts with over one hundred thousand years of cultivation 4.

After helping him find his first Soul Ring, she took responsibility for teaching him Ultimate Ice control and developing his Ice and Snow Fan techniques. She assigned close-combat instruction to the Ice Empress. During five years of wilderness training, both watched from concealment and intervened only if his life was in danger 5 6.

Search for Tribulation Resources

Heaven Dou Journey and Return

In Heaven Dou City, the Snow Empress helped conceal Beiming Yuan as he entered Heaven Dou Royal Academy. At a later banquet, he used her as the stated reason for requesting rare-flower records from Ning Fengzhi and the disguised Qian Renxue; she privately complained that he was passing responsibility to her 14 23.

She and the Ice Empress subsequently guarded him while he tempered his body in the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. After returning north, she successfully picked a Lovesick Heartbreak Red by focusing on Beiming Yuan, confirming her feelings for him 29 30 31.
