New Group Members and Seven Disciples Murder Their Master
Once they confirmed it was a false alarm, everyone went their separate ways and headed home.
Venti alone looked as though he had been seriously injured. Or rather, he really had been seriously injured.
He spent his days sitting in a chair, staring into space. Jean could do nothing about him. As long as the Anemo Archon stayed put in Mondstadt, that was already a great help to Mondstadt.
Not until the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor officially opened did Venti decide the time was right. One night, he slipped out and left the Gnosis by La Signora's bedside.
The next day, he saw the Traveler off to Liyue.
He had thought Ye Xuan would leave with the Traveler, but Ye Xuan stayed.
The reason was that Lisa went to see him every night to nurture her meridians.
Are you really just nurturing her meridians?
Venti was too embarrassed to expose them. Hadn't they made a deal to replenish her vitality?
In the blink of an eye, a month had passed since Ye Xuan came to Teyvat.
The chat group began searching for members once again.
As for that pair of bitterly entangled enemies, Jotaro and DIO, whatever, forget them. Who knew what they were looking for? They had been searching for so long and still hadn't found it.
They had searched all the way from Egypt to Japan. And who knew why Jolyne Cujoh had asked Ye Xuan to send her to Jotaro? Was it to give his invincible seventeen-year-old self a weakness?
[Galactic Succubus Stellaron Spirit joined the group chat.] [Hiranoshita Mushino joined the group chat.] [Shenzhou Flatboard joined the group chat.] [Ye Xuan: This chat group has gone crazy. Why are all the new members flat-chested?] [Blonde Loser: What's wrong with being flat-chested? Did flat chests eat your family's rice?!] [Ye Xuan: You're triggered.] [Blonde Loser: Triggered, my fucking ass.] [Ye Xuan: And you still say you're not triggered.] [Galactic Succubus Stellaron Spirit: Flat-chested, me? Is this the legendary All-Heavens Chat Group? Does it have any special functions?] [Ye Xuan: No, just trading things and getting someone to fight for you. If both sides agree to travel between worlds, just call me. As for being flat-chested, Stelle, don't worry. You're already the biggest of the three in this batch.] [Hiranoshita Mushino: Whose prank is this? And my name is Yukino Yukinoshita.] [Ye Xuan: Heh, Yukino Yukinoshita, this is where you fall short of your older sister. If it were her, she'd already be thinking about how much the Yukinoshita family could gain from this.]
At the mention of her older sister, Yukino Yukinoshita bristled a little. She was just about to reply when she saw that Ye Xuan was already chatting with the third person.
[Ye Xuan: Master Hua, why haven't you said a word?] [Shenzhou Flatboard: You know me? I thought this was some prank Danzhu left behind and wanted to make sure. I never expected it to be something so miraculous. I wonder if it can help me find a way to defeat Honkai.] [Ye Xuan: You still remember Danzhu?!] [Shenzhou Flatboard: Why wouldn't I remember her?] [Ye Xuan: How many disciples have you taken in? What year is it now?] [Shenzhou Flatboard: Seven. It's the twelfth year of Chenghua.] [Ye Xuan: The twelfth year of Chenghua... 1476 CE.] [Shenzhou Flatboard: Suyi needs me for something. We'll talk later.]
Fu Hua decided to study the chat group when she returned.
[Ye Xuan: Wait.] [Shenzhou Flatboard: What is it?] [Ye Xuan: Something major happened in 1476 CE.] [Shenzhou Flatboard: What major event?] [Ye Xuan: Seven disciples murdered their master.]
Seven disciples murdered their master?
[Shenzhou Flatboard: You mean Suyi and the others?] [Ye Xuan: That's right. Taking advantage of your trust in them, Fu Hua, your seventh disciple, Qin Suyi, was tasked with luring you inside. The other six then joined forces to launch a sneak attack.] [Ye Xuan: Your right foot was severed at the ankle, the sinews and meridians in both hands were shattered, all your internal organs were destroyed, and your chest was pierced more than ten times. In the end-Cheng Lingshuang, who inherited your true teachings, used your proudest technique, the Divine Key of Taixuan, to kill you for good.] [Hiranoshita Mushino: How could there be disciples like that?!] [Blonde Loser: That's terrifying.] [Ye Xuan: Even Satoru Gojo's students are better than Fu Hua's disciples. Of Satoru Gojo's nine students, Yuta Okkotsu and Yuji Itadori at least cared whether he lived or died. The one who cared about Fu Hua was her eighth disciple, and she died.] [Great Emperor Miwa: Are Gojo-sensei's students bad too?!] [Ye Xuan: Anyway, after Satoru Gojo originally died, nobody objected to Yuta Okkotsu piloting the Gojo mecha.]
While Kasumi Miwa was still puzzling over what "piloting the Gojo mecha" meant, Yukino Yukinoshita noticed something wrong.
[Hiranoshita Mushino: Didn't you say Fu Hua had already been killed? Where did an eighth disciple come from?] [Ye Xuan: Can't she be resurrected after being killed? It's not as if Fu Hua was only killed once. She was killed again afterward and still came back to life.] [Ye Xuan: It's just that the serious injuries this time cost Fu Hua her immortality and most of her power. In the end, she couldn't protect her youngest disciple and had to watch her die in front of her.]
That was too tragic.
[Galactic Succubus Stellaron Spirit: Why did that Fu Hua stop talking?] [Ye Xuan: She probably followed Qin Suyi inside anyway.] [Hiranoshita Mushino: Why? She already knows it's dangerous.] [Ye Xuan: Do you think Fu Hua isn't capable of killing those seven treacherous disciples? At this point in time, she's unquestionably the strongest under heaven. Everyone in the world put together couldn't beat her alone.] [Ye Xuan: The reason she died was that, right up until her death, she couldn't believe why the seven disciples she had painstakingly raised would kill her. Also, her heart softened.]
So that was the reason? Her disciples were going to kill her, and her heart still softened. This Fu Hua could practically be called a saint.
[Blonde Loser: Bastard, save her!] [Ye Xuan: How do you know I'm not there? I'm already watching at the scene. The atmosphere is incredible. I'll start a livestream for you.] [Ye Xuan started a livestream.]
The image lit up.
Under the moonlight on Mount Taixuan, the wind in the pines sounded like weeping. Fu Hua followed Qin Suyi into the house. Just after crossing the threshold, her steps paused slightly, as if she had sensed something, but she went in all the same.
The next instant-
Killing intent erupted!
Five figures shot out at once from the rafters, behind a screen, and within the curtains! The light of five longswords poured down like a torrential storm, engulfing Fu Hua!
Fu Hua swayed and stamped her right foot down hard. The flagstones cracked in a spiderweb beneath her as she sprang into the air, narrowly dodging the most lethal sword strike aimed at her throat.
In midair, she twisted at the waist and spun, striking out with her left palm. The force of the blow exploded, sending three disciples and their swords flying through an entire wooden wall!
The instant she landed, a longsword slashed toward the back of her neck. Without turning, Fu Hua reached back with her right hand and clamped five fingers around the blade like iron pincers. She pulled and twisted, and the blade shattered inch by inch.
The shock split the webbing between the swordsman's thumb and forefinger, and the disciple flew backward with a scream.
Six disciples, six swords, all attacking one person.
Sword light crisscrossed and waves of force surged, shaking dust from every corner of the room.
Yet Fu Hua darted through it all like lightning, precisely neutralizing every attack. She even had strength to spare to send them flying back.
In less than ten breaths, the six had been beaten and scattered. Some struck the pillars and spat blood; others lay on the ground, unable to get up for a long while. Their longswords slipped from their hands and clattered to the floor.
Cheng Lingshuang was still struggling to hold on. Though her sword strikes were fierce, she was clearly running out of strength.
As for Ma Yanqing-
Fu Hua held him aloft by the neck with one hand. His face was crimson, his limbs flailed wildly, and the sword in his hand had long since fallen who knew where.
"Master, don't kill me, I'm Little Ma... I shouldn't have listened to senior sister and attacked you..."
The middle-aged man's voice trembled, his face smeared with tears and snot.
Fu Hua looked at him.
The anger in her eyes slowly faded.
Her hand loosened.
Ma Yanqing fell to the floor, clutching his throat and coughing violently.
Fu Hua turned around, as if she still wanted to say something.
At that very instant-
Behind her, the wind of a sword suddenly rose.
Lin Zhaoyu had circled behind her at some point. Gripping her sword with both hands, she concentrated all her cultivation in its tip and thrust straight at Fu Hua's heart from behind.
Fu Hua sensed it.
She instinctively turned sideways, preparing to kill her attacker with a punch.
But when she saw the attacker's face, that instant of softness made her a fraction too slow.
"Pfft-"
The blade stabbed into her back, pierced her heart, and protruded half an inch from her chest.
Fu Hua's movement stopped.
She lowered her head and looked at the sword tip protruding from her chest. Blood dripped down the blade, drop by drop.
Behind her, Lin Zhaoyu gripped the hilt with both hands, trembling all over, but she gritted her teeth and refused to let go.
"Master..." Lin Zhaoyu's voice trembled. "I'm sorry."
Fu Hua did not turn around, because the others had attacked as well.
In the space of a single breath, she was struck by dozens of sword blows.
Her body pitched forward, and one knee bent as she sank to the floor.
Only then did a crisp snap sound from her right ankle as her foot was cleanly severed.
Blood gushed out, staining half the threshold red.
Sword light crisscrossed her hands, severing their sinews and meridians inch by inch. All ten fingers hung limp.
The dozen-odd sword wounds in her chest burst open at once, filling the air with a bloody mist.
She opened her mouth, but all that came out was black blood.
"Why..."
Her voice was so soft that she seemed to be asking herself.
No one answered.
Cheng Lingshuang climbed to her feet and staggered over to Fu Hua.
The hand holding her sword shook, but she still aimed its tip at the center of Fu Hua's brow.
She unleashed the Divine Key of Taixuan at full power. Sword intent blazed like a rainbow, piercing the center of Fu Hua's brow.
Her body stiffened for an instant, then fell backward.
The back of her head struck the floor, her long hair spreading around her. Blood slowly seeped out from beneath her, staining the entire floor red.
Six people stood in the room. No one spoke.
Qin Suyi knelt in the doorway.
There was only heavy breathing and stifled sobbing.
Outside the image, the chat group fell deathly silent.
