Yalian III's study of the corpse of a deity was an unprecedented beginning in the history of the Church.
Throughout history, no pope has ever had any idea of researching the divine corpses. Only the golden blood that constantly seeped from the bodies of the divine corpses was used in a certain way, based on the principle that it should not be wasted, thus creating the War Machine ' Holy Knight '.
Apart from that, there has been no other research.
Popes throughout history have placed great importance on 'God,' and concealing the body of the deity was their top priority, so they never studied it.
However, Yalian III prioritized imperial power and the royal family, so he naturally wanted to make the most of things like divine corpses, which could effectively prolong the reign of the emperor.
Thus, the study of the divine corpse was fully launched.
As the saying goes, you don't know until you try, and what you find is astonishing. Problems arose at the very first stage of the study of the "divine corpse": the fundamental theories of the Church.
Holy See.
The Holy See, which had been much quieter after His Holiness Adam took office, has once again become quite popular.
Although Yalian III was a wise and capable emperor, he was in no way inferior in terms of enjoying life.
Before the soldiers specifically tasked with fighting the Vampire could even be assembled, the servants within the Holy See responsible for dressing the emperor had already been selected and sent into the Holy See.
To better harmonize with their papal status, the servants now dress in Church robes, making the young girls appear both abstinent and alluring, strikingly beautiful.
However, Yalian III doesn't currently have much attention on them.
The Holy See Palace.
Yalian III sat enthroned on the papal throne, wearing a golden robe that combined the functions of pope and emperor, looking incredibly noble. However, his face showed signs of age, giving him a sense of a hero in his twilight years.
All the palace staff have been cleared out, and only a few Holy Knight are currently guarding the area to prevent eavesdropping.
In the entire palace, only Yalian III and a few scholars who studied the corpse of the god remained.
"Your Majesty, we have conducted extensive research on the theory of the divine corpse during this period... The Church records seem to contain paradoxes, or rather, it seems that the Church records were written specifically for people to read. At first glance, the logic is extremely reasonable, but upon closer examination, it is full of irrationality."
An elderly man with gray hair, holding thick Church books in his hands, reported to Yalian III on the throne with a somewhat sorrowful expression.
"Oh, what do you mean?" Yalian III frowned slightly. He picked up the teacup on the table in front of him, moistened his lips, and asked with a furrowed brow.
The old scholar slowly stepped forward, unfolded the Church books he was carrying, and then pointed to the annotations on them, explaining to Yalian III.
"Your Majesty, the theories about the existence of the divine corpse in the Church books are somewhat illogical! If Kuba could cause real damage to the divine corpse, or if the Shenyin could cause real damage to the divine corpse, then they have no reason to just leave this complete divine corpse here without taking any other measures!"
Wouldn't it be better to just dismember the god?
The body was divided into more than a dozen pieces and sealed separately. The huge pure white bone cross used as decoration was more than enough to make various small crosses and bone nails to seal all the pieces of the divine corpse.
In this way, even though the god would still be immortal, separating and sealing his body would greatly reduce the possibility of his resurrection. There was no need to seal the god's corpse intact on the cross.
The old scholar had a kind and gentle appearance, but the words he spoke sent a chill down one's spine.
Yalian III frowned slightly, as if he felt there was indeed some truth to it.
Seeing Yalian III's thoughtful expression, another elderly scholar stepped forward.
"Your Majesty, Shenyin's actions can be explained by the concept of the Existence Level of the Church. The Church's research on the corpse of God has introduced the concept of Existence Level. This Existence Level is very interesting. If we consider Existence Level, the only one who can truly harm the corpse of God is Kuba, who has been in the same Existence Level as God on a physical level since birth."
If that's the case, using Kuba's bones to suppress the divine corpse makes sense, but who decomposed Kuba's body?
Surely it couldn't be that Shenyin used the hand of God to break up the Kuba, could it?
If the old scholar's words had made Yalian III frown slightly, then this scholar's words made Yalian III feel uneasy.
"That makes sense!" Yalian III nodded, feeling increasingly uneasy.
You wouldn't know unless you looked into it, and what you found out was astonishing!
How could such a seemingly logically sound Church book contain such a huge problem?
"Then, in your opinion, how do you explain this divine corpse?"
Yalian III frowned, his mood beginning to grow somewhat heavy.
Not only did Yalian III frown, but the other scholars also frowned, becoming increasingly hesitant as they spoke.
"Your Majesty, we feel that there seems to be something wrong with this divine corpse. Whether from the perspective of the Existence Level introduced by the Church, or from the perspective of authenticity and rationality, the identity of the divine corpse is somewhat unusual."
However, from the perspective of Existence Level and rationality, the sealing of God by Kuba's skeleton is a relatively reasonable outcome.
After all, the Church writes about 'the resurgence of consciousness and Heaven.' This means that God's consciousness was not suppressed; only his physical body was suppressed. Only the Existence Level of Kuba is consistent with God's Existence Level, belonging to the First Stage, so using Kuba's bones to suppress God's physical body is reasonable... but it does not solve the problem we mentioned above.
Your Majesty, Church books seem to be deliberately perfecting their rationality and worldview... They seem somewhat like records intentionally written to mislead people.
Of course, this is merely my humble opinion, and perhaps just wishful thinking on our part.
After all, no one knows the Existence Level of Shenyin and Jonah. Although God has many children, only these two were deified. Their Existence Level might be on the same level as God's, or perhaps some strange method was used—we don't know for sure."
The old scholar dared not speak too definitively, but Yalian III had already understood his meaning.
"History can be fabricated, and records can be fabricated... Hasn't Blood Clan Progenitor Norton who seized control of my Boya Empire, been indulging in his own falsehood all these years?"
So, you mean the corpse on the back mountain isn't the real God?
Yalian III tapped his fingers on the handle of the throne, his eyes narrowed to slits.
Although his face remained calm, his heart was in turmoil.
"Such a perfect, sacred, bizarre, and magnificent being is not God... then, could it be... Kuba?"
The current Vampire Progenitor, Norton, is, barring any unforeseen circumstances, evolving towards this perfect physique.
God has this physical form, and so does Kuba. So, is it God or Kuba?
Yalian III recalled the perfectly proportioned, slender, pale corpse, whose passively emanating Pressure and grandeur was undeniable.
Blood Clan Progenitor Norton, did not exude this kind of oppressive aura of a higher level of life!
"Your Majesty..." The old scholar stepped forward slowly, about to continue speaking.
However, outside the palace gates, attendants rushed over in a panic, then stood at the door and shouted, "Your Majesty, something is flying in from the horizon... an extremely strange thing!"
"What?" Yalian III suddenly stood up from his seat.
