Norton felt his confidence was greatly shaken.

"So I'm not a classic Vampire after all!" Norton thought, looking at Father Abraham, who was gradually going berserk due to his bloodlust, and felt that he was a little unworthy of the title of Vampire.

Look at Father Abraham; even a slight smell of blood in the air was enough to ignite his brutal, bloodthirsty desires.

Then look at Norton. The stench of blood is everywhere in this basement, but Norton doesn't react at all.

His thirst for blood was such that ten Norton couldn't compare to that of Father Abraham.

However, looking at Father Abraham struggling to resist his bloodlust, Norton felt he understood why he felt that he was looking at this guy like he was trash.

Because this Father Abraham turned Vampire was indeed quite trash.

Putting aside the level of life, just the fact that a normal species can't control its appetite is a prime example of garbage.

Even a dog can resist eating poop, but you, a Vampire, are exposed the moment you're tempted by blood, become excited, can't control yourself, and lose all sense of reason. Is this the reaction a normal species would have when faced with food?

Just like Werewolf lose their will and become bloodthirsty and frenzied on the night of a full moon, they are the same kind of low-energy species.

Norton has never lost control!

But how did Father Abraham become such a classic Vampire? Norton spent twenty years in the Church and eight years in Lino City, and he had never heard any rumors about this species.

If this species existed before, it's impossible that there would be absolutely no news about it. After all, this thing is easily tempted by blood, and if it existed, it would definitely attack humans, thus spreading the legend.

However, Norton's Vampire status was certified by the Church; he had sharp teeth, red eyes, and was withered and unclean! Therefore, the Vampire recognized by the Church must be like him, not like Father Abraham in front of us.

Looking at Father Abraham's two long, sharp fangs, like those of a vampire bat, and at his neck, which was wrapped in bandages but still exuded the scent of blood, combined with his own guesses, Norton thought of the Coal Ball that had just been resurrected last night and flown out to hunt for food...

"Hiss! Could it be that I created this defense?" Norton gasped.

If that's the case, then it's understandable why I felt a sense of superiority, like that of a creator god, when facing Father Abraham!

This also explains why Norton didn't have this feeling of complete control over other beings, but only over Father Abraham before him.

"No, no, no, it shouldn't be that I created it, but that the Coal Ball created it. After licking my flesh and blood and undergoing an evolutionary mutation, it probably awakened this ability..."

Norton fell into deep thought.

He suddenly felt something was off.

He had always wondered why he, a Vampire, didn't have the ability to create familiars, only to discover that the bats that licked his flesh and blood possessed this ability...

"Was it because I wanted this ability that it appeared? Or is it just a coincidence? Just a gradual manifestation of the Vampire's inherent abilities?" Norton felt that the secrets surrounding him were far deeper than he had imagined.

However, he felt that his guess was wrong, at the very least it couldn't be the gradual manifestation of Vampire abilities.

Otherwise, the Vampire of this world would have created other species long ago; how could it be Norton's turn?

"But why can't this ability appear on me? Why does it have to appear on a species that ate my flesh and blood? Aren't I, Norton, still a high-level evolution material?"

Norton felt his mind was in a jumble, and he couldn't figure it out.

He knew far too little information, and the limited information he had was insufficient to make any reasonable guesses.

The mere mention of creating a retinue left him completely bewildered and utterly confused.

The bats that licked his flesh and blood did not fundamentally belong to Norton like Vampire develop their own retinues; they simply exerted a kind of suppression on a different level of life.

The new Vampire race created by the bats, however, seemed to belong entirely to Norton, making Norton feel that he could control them at will.

My relatives are not my relatives; only the relatives of my relatives are my relatives?

What are some classic Crypt Lord storylines?

Could it be because the bats didn't transform into a new species by consuming Norton's flesh and blood, so he didn't have a creator-like control over them?

And this Father Abraham was transformed into a new species through him, a completely new species created by Norton, which is why Norton felt a sense of complete control over it as a creator?

Hmm, that's possible!

Norton's eyes grew even redder, and a sense of excitement welled up within him.

He felt this guess was entirely reasonable.

Why didn't he feel this sense of being a creator in other people or species? Because other species were created by God, and God is their creator.

Norton was also created by God, so Norton cannot feel this sense of being a creator from other species, because they are all created beings and have the same status.

Only this Vampire, Father Abraham, this entirely new race of Vampire, was created by Norton. That's why he felt like a creator.

This perfectly confirms the sense of spiritual decline he felt from Father Abraham.

Because he had fallen from the level of being a creation of God to the level of being a creation of God's creations, Norton felt the baseness of his own level of existence!

That's definitely true!

Norton felt incredibly smart.

"Then wouldn't I, Norton, be considered a downgraded candidate?"

Norton opened his bewildered, scarlet eyes wide, somewhat confused as to why, in the blink of an eye, he Norton been downgraded from a high-grade material to a low-grade material after just a few guesses.

It feels like the extent of his decline in life's trajectory was even greater than that of Father Abraham.

And what makes Norton so capable of possessing such an ability? No other Vampire has ever been known to have the ability to develop entirely new groups! Otherwise, wouldn't the Vampire species already have countless dependents scattered everywhere?

Creation—isn't that a power only God can possess?
