Arc 4The Blood Empire
Norton seized control of Lino City and built a vampire regime while the Church prepared to investigate the new vampires and fight the Boya Empire. As the threat of discovery grew, Norton began planning escape routes and weighed how to preserve his power.
- Norton’s bats spread vampirism through Lino City, and Father Abraham created vampires within the Church while Norton discovered his Pressure could sense much of the city.
- Father Abraham turned Bishop Good and Archbishop Duoxia, then declared himself progenitor and ordered unruly vampires eliminated, and Norton burned more than a hundred vampires with his Pressure.
- After Karl left Lino City, famine and political turmoil worsened, and Pope Adam ordered war against the Boya Empire while Archbishop Duoxia plotted against him.
- Father Abraham’s vampires attacked Duoxia’s allies and transformed Duoxia, but Norton overwhelmed the vampires with his Pressure and claimed absolute authority over Lino City.
- Norton secretly ruled as Abraham took the title of Blood Progenitor, organized the vampires, and drowned the inactive Holy Knights so he could drink their blood and grow stronger.
- Norton turned Lino City’s elites into vampires, seized their grain and property, and made the rest of the population work as blood slaves, and a rebellion and Church crackdowns followed.
- Adam captured Duoxia for study and investigated the vampires, while Norton spread new-style vampires beyond Lino City and continued consolidating his rule.
- Norton realized the vampires could expose him, ordered Abraham to dig escape passages, and left the hall amid his swarming bats with Coal Ball clinging to his leg.
