Su Mengzhen is the sickly master of the Golden Wind Drizzle Pavilion. Though afflicted by numerous terminal illnesses, he survives long enough to lead the pavilion through its struggle against Six and a Half Hall. His condition is severe enough that his reputation emphasizes how unlikely it is that he remains alive and active 219.

During an ambush at Bitter Water Shop, trusted pavilion members Gu Dong and Hua Wucuo betray him. Su personally deflects a barrage of hidden weapons with his robe, but one projectile lodges in his leg; he immediately cuts away the poisoned flesh rather than allow the injury to hinder him 220.

After the failed ambush, Wen Qingkong treats Su Mengzhen and proposes cooperation. Su accepts the arrangement despite recognizing the risks surrounding Wen's White Lotus Sect background. Wen suppresses Su's illnesses and teaches him Rama's Inner Power, substantially improving his health without curing the underlying diseases 221 222 223.

Alliance with Wen Qingkong
