Having taken the day off from First High School, Yunyi enjoyed a comfortable lie-in before heading to a nearby department store.
It was no exaggeration to say that the things sold in department stores these days defied common sense. Although restricted items were absent, plenty of things exclusively for magicians, such as CADs, were on display.
Of course, Yunyi had not come for those. He only wanted to buy some everyday necessities. After all, someone else had prepared the place where he lived, and for some reason, certain things there were awkward for him to use. That was why he had made the trip.
Yunyi got into the elevator, but just as he pressed the button to close the doors, he suddenly heard someone call out.
"Please wait!"
Hearing the voice, Yunyi hurriedly pressed the door-open button. Soon, he saw two cute, beautiful girls hurry into the elevator.
"Please close the doors. Thank you."
Without giving it much thought, Yunyi pressed the button to close the doors.
Only when the doors had shut and the elevator began to ascend did the two girls behind him breathe a sigh of relief.
"We finally lost them. What a pain!"
"Seriously. Father went way too far, sending so many people after us."
"Oh, right, Izumi, when we get back, you have to keep this a secret. We absolutely can't let our sister find out!"
"I know, Kasumi. I'll definitely keep it a secret!"
As Yunyi listened to their conversation, the corners of his mouth rose slightly. He really hadn't expected to run into the Saegusa Family twins here.
Is there any way I can take advantage of running into them here? Just as Yunyi was thinking this, his terminal suddenly rang.
Yunyi casually answered the call, but before he could speak, a voice came from the other end.
"Hello, hello! Is this Yunyi?"
At the sound of the voice, the twins behind Yunyi couldn't help trembling. They turned their heads stiffly toward him, and from their relatively concealed corner, they could just make out the familiar face on his terminal screen!
"Hello, President Saegusa. This is Yunyi. What can I do for you?"

"Actually, I wanted to invite you to have lunch with the student council. But Tatsuya said you'd taken the day off. Did something happen?" Mayumi Saegusa asked.
"No, nothing like that. Please don't worry, President. I just happened to return to the country on the day we registered for school, so there are still a lot of things I haven't gotten for my home. I had no choice but to take today off. Unfortunately, I can't accept your invitation." Yunyi explained what had happened.
"I see. That's a relief. Yunyi, if there's anything you need help with, you can come to me," Mayumi Saegusa said.
With that, she gave Yunyi a little wink.
Yunyi chuckled and asked, "President, are you this kind to all your classmates? Or just to me?"
"Huh? Why do you ask?" Mayumi Saegusa asked in return.
"If you're this kind to everyone, President, then I'll praise you for your nobility. But if you're only like this with me, I might get the wrong idea."
Hearing Yunyi say that, Mayumi Saegusa acted as though a switch had been flipped, immediately putting on the demeanor she used when teasing her junior. "What would you think, Yunyi, if I said I was only kind to you?"
Yunyi blinked, then let out a deep sigh and put on a somewhat hurt expression.
"President, please be a little more self-aware! When a girl who excels in looks, family background, and personal ability says something like that, it's a deadly temptation for an ordinary person like me. If you really meant it, I'd definitely get the wrong idea and think you had special feelings for me. Sending a signal like that isn't a good thing for someone like me. So, President Saegusa, we should keep a certain distance between us. I wouldn't want to be led astray by the wrong signals you send one day and cause irreparable consequences."
At first, Mayumi Saegusa thought nothing of Yunyi's words. But the more she listened, the more she felt something was wrong! Toward the end, she hurriedly tried to stop him from continuing, but Yunyi ignored her attempts and said everything he had to say!
Just then, another voice suddenly rang out in the elevator, demanding an answer in a rage.
"Hey! You there, how can you talk to my sister like that? I get it, you must be trying to get close to her this way! You bad guy! I'll deal with you!" Kasumi Saegusa was a sister fanatic who saw everyone who approached her sister as a bad guy! After hearing Yunyi's words, she exploded on the spot!
"Huh!? Kasumi, why are you there!?" Hearing her sister's voice through the terminal, Mayumi Saegusa cried out in surprise!
"Ah! Oh no! Izumi, run!"
Before Mayumi Saegusa could ask any more questions, Kasumi Saegusa grabbed Izumi Saegusa and rushed out of the elevator, whose doors had just opened.
"Yunyi, please go after the two girls who just left. They're my sisters, Kasumi and Izumi! Please send me your location and keep an eye on them for me. I'll come over right away!" Mayumi Saegusa said, her tone somewhat pleading.
"Ah!? Oh, okay." Yunyi froze for a moment, then hurried after them. But outside the elevator, the twins were already nowhere to be seen.

With that, he seemingly flusteredly sent Mayumi Saegusa the department store's location, ended the call, and walked in the direction Kasumi Saegusa and Izumi Saegusa had fled.
After escaping the elevator and darting this way and that around the floor for a long while, the Saegusa twins finally reached an elevator on the other side.
"Kasumi, it's not safe here anymore. We have to leave as soon as possible."
"I know, Izumi. Let's go now."
But just as Kasumi Saegusa was about to press the elevator button, a somewhat unfamiliar voice came from behind them.
"Kasumi Saegusa? Izumi Saegusa?"
The twins both turned to look behind them and saw the very person they had encountered in the elevator earlier.
"H-how!?"
"He caught up to us!?"
Both twins wore expressions of surprise and astonishment.
Yunyi merely chuckled. With his abilities, finding two little ones was easy enough.
