"Hey! You, stop following us! Or we won't go easy on you!" Kasumi Saegusa threatened.
Izumi Saegusa said nothing, merely shifting slightly to hide behind Kasumi. For some reason, she had a feeling that the person in front of them was a little dangerous.
Yunyi raised a finger and wagged it.
"President Saegusa told me to keep a close eye on you two, and she's already on her way. I can't let you leave before she gets here. If you behave yourselves, I'll treat you to a meal. Of course, if you resist or try to run, I'll have to resort to some measures. After all, I'm a student at First High School, and I have to obey the student council president."
"You bad guy! In that case, don't blame me for not holding back!" Kasumi Saegusa had no intention of sitting there and waiting to be caught. She immediately took out her CAD, intending to give Yunyi a scare.
But just as her magic sequence was about to activate, Yunyi suddenly called out in a low voice, "Don't move!"
All of Kasumi Saegusa's movements stopped at once. She couldn't even manage something as simple as blinking!
Fear gradually spread through her heart, enough for Izumi Saegusa, hiding behind her, to notice.
"Ka... Kasumi!?" Izumi Saegusa gave Kasumi Saegusa a gentle poke, but got no response.
"Wh... what's going on!? What did you do to Kasumi!!!" Izumi Saegusa demanded.
"I warned you to behave. She was the one who refused, so you can't blame me for this," Yunyi said with a smile.
"Now it's your turn. You're Izumi Saegusa, right? Will you come along quietly and wait for your sister to pick you up, or end up like her?"
Yunyi spoke softly, his tone calm. But to the twins, it sounded like a demon whispering in their ears.
After a moment of silence and indecision, Izumi Saegusa let her arms drop limply, as though all the fight had gone out of her.
"We'll go with you, but please let Kasumi go first."
"Sure!" Yunyi chuckled and casually waved a hand at Kasumi Saegusa.
The next moment, Kasumi Saegusa regained her ability to move. As soon as she realized it, she backed away with Izumi Saegusa behind her, putting distance between them and Yunyi.
"Don't even think about running away. With your abilities, that's impossible. Come along quietly, and we'll find somewhere to sit and wait for your sister."
Seeing that the two seemed to be considering escape, Yunyi spoke casually.
The twins' bodies trembled slightly. They had no idea who this guy was! But the ability to control someone's movements with a single sentence was clearly beyond their current understanding.
However, judging by Yunyi's earlier conversation with Mayumi Saegusa in the elevator, they probably knew each other. So the Saegusa twins were only a little afraid of Yunyi, not terrified.
The twins exchanged a glance and made their decision. They followed Yunyi to the dining area on the top floor.
A famous restaurant occupied the top floor of the department store. The window seats in particular offered a view over much of the city. Many people found the experience captivating. Coming here at night with a romantic partner or a loved one to dine while admiring the city's night scenery was also a wonderful experience.
But Yunyi himself was only a seventeen-year-old boy, and bringing the even younger Saegusa twins here drew some attention.
Yunyi paid it no mind and followed the waiter to a window seat. He had the waiter hand the menu to the Saegusa twins, then gestured for them to order whatever they liked.
"Hey, you're not going to say you have no money when it's time to leave and make Mayumi pay, are you!?" Kasumi Saegusa speculated with a hint of malice.
Yunyi blinked, then burst out laughing.
"You're quite an interesting girl, but I wouldn't do something like that. This meal is on me, so you two just order whatever you like."
Even after hearing that, Kasumi Saegusa was still somewhat skeptical. Izumi Saegusa, on the other hand, calmly ordered several dishes she wanted to eat.
Not wanting to be outdone, Kasumi Saegusa hurriedly ordered a lot more. Some of the things she ordered, however, were dishes she didn't much like.
Once they had finished ordering, Yunyi looked over the menu and added a few more dishes. The twins across from him were a little puzzled when they heard what he ordered, because several of the dishes were among Mayumi Saegusa's favorites.
Yunyi naturally had no idea what Mayumi Saegusa liked. It was just that after arriving here, he had told her what had happened and asked her what dishes she liked.
The food was soon brought to the table. Yunyi told the twins to start eating, while he made no move to eat himself.
Looking down at the city through the floor-to-ceiling window beside him, Yunyi felt somewhat stirred.
Ever since he had answered Mayumi Saegusa's call in the elevator, he had been planning to use the opportunity to grow closer to her.
The Saegusa Family and the Yotsuba Family were known as the twin pillars of the Ten Master Clans. If the Yotsuba Family hadn't produced a freak like Tatsuya Shiba, perhaps the balance of power among Japan's Ten Master Clans wouldn't have collapsed in this generation.
If he wanted to overturn the Ten Master Clans' control over Japan's magic world, disrupting that balance was the most feasible plan. But none of the Ten Master Clan heads were easy to deal with, especially Koichi Saegusa of the Saegusa Family. That guy was an old fox among foxes!
It wouldn't be easy to use Mayumi Saegusa's position to achieve certain goals right under his nose. But plotting against the two youngsters, Kasumi Saegusa and Izumi Saegusa, for that purpose still made Yunyi somewhat uncomfortable.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. I'm still a little naive," Yunyi murmured softly.
His voice was so quiet that it didn't attract the attention of the twins enjoying their food across from him.
But just then, a voice full of anger reached the three of them!
"Kasumi! Izumi! You two!"
Kasumi Saegusa and Izumi Saegusa froze, then stiffly turned toward the voice.
There stood Mayumi Saegusa, her expression stern and her hands on her hips as she glared at them.
"Si... sis!?"
Mayumi Saegusa was about to say something else, but Yunyi spoke first. "President, whatever the case, why not let them finish their meal first?"
"Honestly, Yunyi, don't cover for them! What they did today was really too much!" Mayumi Saegusa was still somewhat angry.
But when she saw her favorite dishes on the table, she chose to sit down beside Yunyi.
