In the novel "Shinigami: The Unforgiven, " Chapter 25, "In Sage Form, I Am a Sage Shiraishi watched her leave without saying a word, picked up a slice of iced watermelon, and continued to eat it.
The cicadas in the pine trees kept chirping.
He recalled the afternoon's frenzy, how they had embraced each other in the house, immersed in that feast for the body and soul.
It felt like a dream.
The traces in the house have disappeared; the beauty has left, leaving him alone to eat watermelon.
How meaningless life is!
Why do I think about so many things? Is it philosophical? Am I lonely?
No, it's simply a state of sagehood where you pull up your pants.
Shiraishi spits out a string of watermelon seeds, aiming towards the edge of the pond, hoping to hit the stones with his own amusement.
After finishing the watermelon, he let out a satisfied burp, then lay down in the corridor with his arms outstretched.
The summer breeze swept through the shadows, bringing a touch of coolness, while the soft chirping of cicadas drifted into my ears.
He was so comfortable that he fell asleep right there.
He snapped out of his daze when he sensed someone approaching. His eyes remained closed as he listened to the approaching footsteps. "If you're awake, don't be an obstacle. Do you want me to step over you?"
"How cold and indifferent. I should learn from the prince and kiss Sleeping Beauty awake, giving me a kiss that awakens me."
Shiraishi complained, but still didn't move, crawling to her feet like a caterpillar. "Oh wow, what a magnificent view."
"Stop your perverted behavior, I'm going to cook dinner."
Retsu Unohana stepped over him, and he seized the opportunity to coil around her like a snake, wrapping his arms around her neck from behind, saying, "Retsu, I've washed my skin until it's like a boiled shrimp, but you didn't come."
"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Rukia's condition is worse than I imagined. I have to keep a close eye on her. She's at the limit of her Tenshintai before I can come out and cook."
Retsu Unohana patted his face and whispered, "Don't worry, I'll make it up to you tonight. Any position is fine."
"Then what are we waiting for? I'll help out."
Shiraishi let go of her hand, no longer interfering with her cooking dinner, and even offered to help.
"Was Soi Fon here just now?"
Retsu Unohana walked, she asked him a question.
The abrupt change of topic caught Shiraishi off guard. He said, "Well, she brought news that she's found three places that appear to be hiding Kisuke Urahara. She also said that Ōmaeda couldn't be confirmed, she's decided to take matters into her own hands."
Retsu Unohana laughed, "With her involved, there shouldn't be any problem."
I hope so.
Shiraishi shrugged. He realized that Soi Fon's strength had increased, but her chances of defeating the Sternritter's Schutzstaffel or some Quincy under Schutzstaffel were still slim.
If they stay hidden and don't engage in combat, the problem isn't too big; even Ōmaeda can infiltrate and gather information.
There's no reason why Soi Fon would fail.
Have you ever tasted her lips?
As Retsu Unohana walked, she casually tossed him a question.
Shiraishi, not wanting to answer this potentially disastrous question, countered with, "Am I that kind of person?"
"Hmph, you cunning brat."
Retsu Unohana smiled but didn't expose him. In her heart, she thought it would be quite fun to tease Shiraishi with such questions occasionally and see his guilty expression.
Upon arriving at the kitchen, the two busied themselves with the task, but within three minutes, Shiraishi was kicked out, having only made things worse.
Shiraishi was puzzled; he hadn't been this useless in life before.
Could it be that I've become decadent because I haven't done those things for too long?
It's despicable that he wants to maintain this depravity.
Shiraishi doesn't want to revive his former glory. Cooking is such a hassle, and if he learns it, he'll have to say goodbye to Retsu's culinary skills.
Thinking of cooking skills, he thought of Nemu Kurotsuchi, whose dishes were perfect in color, aroma, and taste, and she was good at everything.
Orihime Inoue's cooking is simply stimulating.
Half of Retsu Unohana's dishes are based on spiciness. It's not that he thinks spicy food is bad, but that he occasionally wants to try dishes with a savory sauce flavor.
" The Divine Realm."
He tilted his head back, as if trying to see what the entrance to that place would look like.
As these random thoughts raced through my mind, a pungent, spicy aroma wafted from the kitchen.
"Achoo!" Shiraishi sneezed and quickly moved away.
"Come in and help serve the dishes."
Retsu Unohana shouted outwards.
Shiraishi immediately returned to the kitchen, helped serve a large pot of bright red fish soup, used the Steel Tempest to return to the hall, placed it on the table, and then went back to the kitchen.
From Ichigo Kurosaki's perspective, the table, which was previously empty, is now filled with ten meat dishes, four vegetable dishes, and a spicy fish head soup.
"Wow, that's amazing. This time I focused specifically on the table, without even blinking, but I still couldn't see Captain Unohana's movements clearly."
Ichigo Kurosaki was filled with astonishment.
Shiraishi pulled out a chair, sat down, and said, "I served it myself this time, so it's normal that you can't see it clearly."
Ichigo Kurosaki couldn't help but ask, "Mr. Shiraishi, I've wanted to ask you this for a long time: with your strength, you still can't defeat Aizen?"
"I don't know. If it were the previous Aizen, I would be somewhat confident, but I'm not sure about now."
Shiraishi shook his head. He had mastered all the forms of Bankai, Hero Level, and Reiatsu, and had already reached his own limits.
He was so powerful that even Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto couldn't defeat him head-on.
But dealing with Aizen is another story.
No one knows the extent of Aizen's current strength.
Perhaps only when they actually meet will Shiraishi be able to gauge just how powerful Aizen truly is.
Only he could do that.
The others in the Divine Realm and Aizen are no longer beings from the same dimension, including Yhwach, who is still slumbering there.
"It feels so far away."
Ichigo Kurosaki sighed, quite frustrated, and said, "My Bankai training isn't going well. Under Zangetsu, the longest I've ever lasted is five minutes."
Rukia, how's your Bankai going?
"Oh, I can't either."
She gave a brief reply, lowered her head, and showed no interest in talking to anyone; her mind was filled with images of Kaien Shiba.
That night, the blade piercing Lord Kaien's senses was a nightmare he could never overcome.
Even a phantom would find it hard to bring itself to do that again.
" Rukia, don't be nervous. We still have two days. If we keep trying, we can still learn Bankai."
Ichigo Kurosaki noticed that Rukia was acting strangely. After awkwardly offering encouragement, he turned to Chad and asked, "How's your Fullbring training going?"
Yasutora Sado took a sip of soup and said simply, "It's alright. This is the first time I've fought like this so relentlessly. I feel like something is awakening within my body."
"Let's stop this small talk, have a good meal, then get some sleep to recharge, and continue the next day."
Retsu Unohana interrupted their conversation and continued talking about training, which was meant to provoke Rukia.
Although it's unclear exactly what happened, judging from that person's expression, it definitely wasn't a good thing.
"That's right, let's eat." Shiraishi also called to the four of them and took the lead in eating heartily.
