Masaki Kurosaki and Shiraishi became entangled in the Fullbringers’ conflict, and Shiraishi killed Kūgo Ginjō to keep him from Aizen. The Soul Reapers launched a surprise assault on Aizen’s Royal Palace, but Aizen survived and escaped to Seireitei while Shiraishi and Yamamoto were stranded in Hueco Mundo.

• Masaki Kurosaki and Isshin Shiba met Shiraishi at Tokyo Tower, where Masaki explained her plan to draw out Shūkurō Tsukishima.
• Shūkurō Tsukishima manipulated government officials into locating the research institute, where Masaki defeated Jackie Tristan and Kūgo Ginjō arrived with the Fullbringers.
• Ulquiorra killed Kūgo Ginjō and several Fullbringers at the institute, but Shiraishi saved Riruka and brought her to Soul Society.
• Shiraishi accepted a mission to kill Kūgo Ginjō, entered Hueco Mundo, and killed him in Las Noches before Aizen stabbed him and Shiraishi escaped with the corpse.
• Shiraishi returned to Soul Society and warned Kisuke Urahara that Aizen had fused with his Zanpakuto, while Yamamoto prepared the captains for a surprise attack.
• Shiraishi and Yamamoto entered the Royal Palace through a Garganta, where Shiraishi’s Gun Storm overwhelmed Tsukishima, Loly, Szayelaporro, and the other enemies.
• Yamamoto and Shiraishi fought Aizen, who survived their attacks and revealed that their battle had helped him fuse and temper his powers.
• Aizen escaped to Seireitei after sealing Hueco Mundo against Garganta travel, leaving Shiraishi and Yamamoto stranded as he reached the ruined Research and Development Institute and met Aura Michibane.

After Aizen’s assault on the Soul King Palace left the realms collapsing, Shiraishi was stranded in Soul Society and became a fugitive after killing Hasegawa Taizo. He settled in West District Ten, crossed paths with Unohana and Isane, and joined Kūkaku Shiba in investigating Takehiko Tsunayashiro’s possible role in her brother’s death.

• Yoruichi Shihōin supported Sajin Komamura against Kaname Tōsen, while Aizen announced that he would attack the Soul King Palace.
• Aizen reached the Soul King Palace, killed the members of Squad Zero, and used the Soul King’s power to open a new world.
• As the three realms trembled, Kisuke Urahara began preparing to make Kūgo Ginjō and Jūshirō Ukitake the Soul King, while Aizen gathered followers and selected people for his new world.
• Stranded in the disrupted Dangai, Shiraishi and Yamamoto lost contact with Soul Society as the surviving captains prepared to leave the ruined Seireitei.
• Soi Fon confronted Shiraishi over Hasegawa Taizo’s death, but he wounded her and escaped before she could track him.
• Shiraishi sought shelter with Kūkaku Shiba, where he witnessed Kaien’s funeral and learned how the Hollow had consumed Kaien’s spiritual body.
• After Kūkaku sent him away, Shiraishi settled in West District Ten through Ichirō Yagyū and agreed to kill Hollows for Kawakami Saburō.
• Shiraishi met Retsu Unohana and Isane Kotetsu while pursuing Hollows, then joined Unohana’s search for Dragon Lantern Fungus and encountered Kūkaku, who suspected Takehiko Tsunayashiro had stolen her brother’s body for a Hollowfication Experiment.

Shiraishi killed Takehiko Tsunayashiro, defeated Nnoitra, and escaped Soul Society’s pursuit long enough to take Soi Fon to the World of the Living. After returning, he survived Mayuri’s ambush and brought Nemu to Saito House, where he agreed to help Kichō’s organization with its planned operation.

• Shiraishi infiltrated the Tsunayashiro estate and killed Takehiko Tsunayashiro, then rescued the badly wounded Soi Fon after Nnoitra attacked.
• Shiraishi defeated Nnoitra, and Kūkaku Shiba discovered Takehiko’s diary describing his attempt to Hollowfy Kaien Shiba’s corpse.
• Soi Fon agreed to a date with Shiraishi in the World of the Living, while Yamamoto ordered a team to capture or kill him.
• Shiraishi and Soi Fon traveled to Karakura Town, where Shiraishi robbed a bank and demanded a live broadcast of them riding a Ferris wheel and jumping from it.
• Shiraishi and Soi Fon watched fireworks from the Ferris wheel before returning to Soul Society, while Kisuke Urahara warned Yoruichi Shihōin that Aizen was watching Shiraishi.
• Mayuri Kurotsuchi ambushed Shiraishi at a hidden cockfighting ring, but Shiraishi cut through Mayuri’s Bankai and claimed Nemu Kurotsuchi as his own.
• Shiraishi brought Nemu to Saito House, warned Kichō that Mayuri might have exposed the place, and agreed to take part in her organization’s planned operation.

Shiraishi joined Oda Nobunaga’s attempt to obtain a snow lotus while evading the Gotei 13, and Isshin Shiba’s trip to the World of the Living exposed Aizen’s schemes. After learning Kūkaku Shiba faced imprisonment, Shiraishi decided to infiltrate the Seireitei and rescue her, with Nemu Kurotsuchi offering to help.

• Shiraishi agreed to retrieve a snow lotus for Oda Nobunaga, then evaded the Shinigami search as Oda escaped the tunnels with Kichō and was rescued by Aizen.
• Shiraishi traveled with Nemu Kurotsuchi through Rukongai, where Nemu chose to stay with him rather than return to Mayuri Kurotsuchi.
• Oda Nobunaga’s forces attacked Ryūgetsu Castle, and Shiraishi rescued him from Soi Fon before escaping with the safe and shielding everyone from her Bankai.
• Miyamoto Musashi fought Kenpachi Zaraki and was killed, while Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto ordered the captains back to the Seireitei amid fears of a rebel force.
• Isshin Shiba disobeyed Yamamoto’s orders to investigate Naruki City, where Masaki Kurosaki killed White and found instructions to bring Isshin along.
• Aizen revealed that he had framed Yoruichi Shihōin and arranged pressure on Kūkaku Shiba, while White’s failed experiment prompted him to order surveillance of the Ishida family.
• Shiraishi repaid the Rice Village elder and tried to give Kawakami Saburō money, then learned that Kūkaku Shiba was under threat of imprisonment and discovered a way to enter the Seireitei.
• Shiraishi decided to infiltrate the Seireitei to rescue Kūkaku Shiba, and Nemu Kurotsuchi offered to help despite the risk of losing her place with Mayuri Kurotsuchi.
