At the university, she studied under Jinas and became increasingly proud of her talent. After learning Saint Rank magic, she argued with him and left on bad terms. She subsequently traveled the continents, briefly joined an adventuring party that later disbanded, and encountered anti-demon hostility in the Holy Country of Millis. Roxy accepted the Greyrat family’s tutoring commission expecting little from such a young student. Rudeus’s abbreviated and voiceless casting quickly overturned that judgment. Their routine combined morning magic lessons with broader instruction in languages, writing, history, culture, and life abroad 4 10.

After three years, Roxy felt she had little magic left to teach him. His ability humbled her and made her reconsider her quarrel with Jinas, but their affectionate daily life also eased her longstanding loneliness. A farmland-restoration request demonstrated their complementary skills: Rudeus precisely repaired the terrain, and Roxy healed the damaged wheat 10.

For his final examination, she required Rudeus to cast Cumulonimbus and maintain it for an hour. His excessive output threatened to flood Buena Village, forcing her to tell him to stop. She nevertheless passed him as a Saint Rank mage, then departed that afternoon with a caravan bound for the King Dragon Kingdom, leaving him her necklace and a promise of reunion 12 13.

Advancement and Reunion

After exploring numerous labyrinths, Roxy obtained King Rank water magic and became a Water King Rank mage. She also earned the king of Shirone’s favor and received a court appointment, reporting both developments to Rudeus by letter 22.

Their eventual reunion was strained. Having just witnessed Rudeus repeatedly sever a demon’s hands, Roxy instinctively recoiled from his attempted embrace. She struggled to reconcile his brutality with the affectionate student she remembered, while he repeatedly assured her that she remained his respected teacher 84 86 88.

Refugee Search and Labyrinth Rescue

Roxy pledged to help search for those missing after the Fittoa Region Teleport Incident. She later departed with Elinalise and the King Dragon Kingdom’s search party for the Begaritt Continent to find Zenith and other survivors 85 120.

A teleportation labyrinth separated the party, leaving Roxy alone for over a month. Hunger, exhaustion, dwindling mana, and constant monster attacks brought her close to death. Rudeus found her through perception magic, froze the attacking horde, and led her through solid rock using spatial magic. His arrival restored her sense of safety and deepened her emotional attachment to him 129 130.

Second Labyrinth and Engagement

Rudeus later invited Roxy to another labyrinth while preparing to confess his feelings. Eris followed and joined them, but a teleportation circle eventually left Roxy and Rudeus together in ancient ruins 137 138 140.

Roxy wounded a treasure-chest monster and pursued it into an SS-rank boulder golem’s territory. Using Rudeus’s wand, she slowed and helped freeze the golem before he destroyed it with Hellfire Fireball. The devastation prompted her to forbid him from entering another labyrinth 140.

Among the rewards, Roxy accepted an Emperor Rank staff, an Emperor Rank robe, and a tome of lost water magic. Rudeus then confessed his love and proposed marriage; she accepted. Shortly afterward, she watched a violent battle involving him without intervening, recognizing that she could become a burden and remaining alert to a dangerous masked woman nearby 141 142.

Roxy has a petite, slender build, blue hair, and clear blue eyes; her youthful appearance is characteristic of the Migurd Tribe 4 62 87.
