Her authority also carries administrative responsibility: she presides over the tournament and orders evacuations before Huo Yuhao's battle with Tang Hao 116 120.

Her severity conceals considerable emotional vulnerability. Painful memories and divine malice torment her consciousness, while Huo Yuhao's care gradually draws out her gentleness. Past and Leadership

Before meeting Huo Yuhao, Bibi Dong had an unfulfilled romantic relationship with Yu Xiaogang and supported him openly and secretly. His name initially provokes a strong reaction, but she comes to acknowledge that she chose the wrong person; by their encounter in the Pope's Hall, she feels disgust rather than affection toward him 97 98 114 115.

Her past also includes trauma involving Qian Renxue's father. She identifies him as the source of her painful memories, and later describes nightmares in which he attacks her again. Those memories form part of the estrangement she eventually addresses with her daughter 238 326 328.

As Pope, she oversees Spirit Hall's affairs and its tournament ambitions. Huo Yuhao credits her policies with providing opportunities for commoners to become Soul Masters and supporting Soul Masters through benefits and subsidies 98 113.

Rescue in the Star Dou Great Forest

During a Rakshasa inheritance trial, Bibi Dong's cultivation is restricted to Soul Saint. Xiao Wu exploits her weakened state, directing the Sky Azure Bull Python and Titan Giant Ape to attack her in revenge for her mother's death. Bibi Dong possesses Xiao Wu's mother's Soul Ring 95.

Separated from Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo, Bibi Dong is gravely wounded by divine thunder. She retaliates with a poisonous web before Huo Yuhao rescues her and carries her to a cave. His initial motive is strategic: her position and divine inheritance could help him gain access to Spirit Hall 95 97.

She introduces herself as Luo Dong, while he uses Hao Yi. Their time recovering together includes shared meals, arguments about Yu Xiaogang, and Huo Yuhao's intervention in the nightmare afflicting her consciousness 97 98 99 326.

Mutual Protection and First Parting

When the forest overlords find them again, Bibi Dong places herself between the beasts and Huo Yuhao. She breaks part of her seal but cannot overcome their combined attacks. Huo Yuhao intervenes, then collapses during the resulting Samadhi True Fire crisis 100 101 102.

Bibi Dong refuses to abandon him despite being burned. After the Rakshasa God restores her cultivation temporarily, she holds him and channels Soul Power into him for three days and nights. Before leaving for Spirit Hall, she invites him to join her, gives him her Pope Token, and promises to wait for his return 102 103.

Rupture and Reconnection in Spirit City

Their reunion collapses when Huo Yuhao confronts her over concealing her identity. Yu Xiaogang interrupts the argument, and Bibi Dong has him removed. Huo Yuhao nevertheless returns her token and declares that they have no relationship, leaving her in tears 114.

Bibi Dong continues watching over him during the tournament, instructing Hu Liena to meet his requests and overlooking his refusal to kneel. After he wins the championship, she offers him any reward Spirit Hall can provide 116 118.

Following his battle with Tang Hao, she seals Spirit City, arranges his recovery, and formally names him Holy Son, equal in status to Hu Liena. She confesses that meeting him changed her life, though he initially leaves their relationship unresolved. A later moonlit farewell ends with a mutual kiss 123 130.

Disappearance and the Secret Chamber

After Huo Yuhao vanishes, Bibi Dong spends three years searching for him and refuses to accept that he is dead. His eventual return brings an emotional reunion, followed by her disclosure that Qian Renxue is her daughter 234 238.

Fearful of losing him again, she prepares a secluded chamber and brings him there under the claim that a deity wants her to give him something. She seals the chamber and coerces him into intimacy. They leave the next morning without discussing what happened; Bibi Dong later acknowledges both the coercion and his resistance 237 239 326 327.

During a subsequent reunion, Huo Yuhao calls her Dong'er and explains that secrets and important duties account for his absences. She accepts that he will tell her when ready, and they spend a peaceful day together. She also promises Spirit Hall's support when he sets out to confront Tang Hao 283 284 286.

Reconciliation with Qian Renxue

Another two-year absence intensifies tensions among Bibi Dong, Qian Renxue, and Hu Liena. Bibi Dong tells her daughter that Huo Yuhao is her lover, recounting their shared experiences while asserting that they met first 326.

When Huo Yuhao returns, he declares that he loves all three women and urges mother and daughter to reconcile. Bibi Dong subsequently shares her memories with Qian Renxue. Understanding her mother's suffering, Qian Renxue embraces her and calls her “Mom,” ending their immediate hostility 327 328 329.

Divine Battle and Rescue

After becoming the Rakshasa God, Bibi Dong fights alongside Angel God Qian Renxue against Tang San. Both are wounded and face death before Huo Yuhao arrives on a black dragon and declares them under his protection 380.
