Su Chen helped Zhou Qian'er reject the Sacred Hall inheritance, then returned to find the Sword Sect under attack and erased the attackers’ threat. He revived the dead, forced two Immortal Emperors into serving as gatekeepers, and healed Jianxin and Xue Ying.

• Jianxin killed Wang Gang and the Fire God Sect’s old man, but Wang Wen arrived with a million experts and killed Xu Hanhan and the others before Su Chen intervened.
• Su Chen restored Jianxin and his companions, destroyed the Fire God Sect’s forces and Wang Wen, and had Zhou Qian'er kill Zhao Yi before the gathered cultivators destroyed the Setting Sun Sect.
• Jianxin sparred with Zhou Qian'er and lost, while Su Chen urged him to stay true to his original intent, and Zhou Qian'er then asked Su Chen to help her refuse the Sacred Hall inheritance.

After Xue Mo reconciled with Xue Ying and Zhou Qian’er chose to pursue an inheritance, Su Chen left the Sword Sect in the care of Cangyan and Fenxing.

• Xue Ying confirmed that Su Chen had restored the Sword Sect by reversing time, while Zhou Qian’er and Aunt Feng arrived to find him.
• Xu Poyun led the Nine Yang Divine Sect elders to the Sword Sect, where Cangyan seized him, and Su Chen ordered Cangyan to kill him after admitting he had killed Xu Yuan.
• Su Chen made Jiang Wei the Nine Yang Divine Sect’s sect master and ordered him to send half its cultivation resources to the Sword Sect each year.
• Su Chen taught Jianxin to combine Return to One with Formless One Sword, and Jianxin later used the technique to defend Su Chen at Qin Yao’s wedding.

Zhou Qian’er revealed Su Chen’s power to Immortal Emperor Yushuang, who sought his help to revive Miaoyin. After rescuing Jianxin from the Barbarian Clan and setting him a harsh trial, Su Chen revived Miaoyin and left the Sacred Hall with Zhou Qian’er.

• Zhou Qian’er defeated Chu Lingyuan, then agreed to accept the inheritance after learning that Immortal Emperor Yushuang hoped to avenge Miaoyin, her slain childhood friend.
• Xue Ying entered the Snow Clan’s secret realm, while Su Chen arrived at the Mystic Hall, killed a guard who threatened him, and reunited with Su Yanche.
• Su Chen met the Mystic Hall’s Ninth Elder, Su Daoran, accepted his apology, and gave him tea, while Jianxin traveled into the desert and fought Barbarian Clan warriors.
• Jianxin rescued Bai Luoyao but was gravely injured by the Barbarian Clan, until Zhou Qian’er and Immortal Emperor Yushuang arrived and subdued the attackers.
• Immortal Emperor Man Lei challenged Su Chen, who erased his attacks, forced him to kneel, and killed him before ordering the Barbarian Clan to hunt Jianxin below the Immortal Sovereign realm.

Su Chen fled his family's marriage plans, saved Lin Fan during his pursuit of the Purple Lightning Nether Flame, and forced the Devil Race to delay its invasion for ten years. Qin An discovered she was pregnant, while Ye Lingxi and Hu Xiaotian faced Mo Qianqiu in a battle that remained unresolved.

• Zhou Qian'er received the Scripture of Forgetting Emotion from Miaoyin after deciding to forget Su Chen.
• Su Chen drugged Su Yanche, left him with Qin An, and fled after Qin An arranged two more engagements for him.
• Lin Fan sought the Purple Lightning Nether Flame and nearly died fighting a young man who had killed his own master and refined him into a vengeful ghost.
• Su Chen restored Lin Fan and Liu Mengli, killed their attackers, and helped Lin Fan absorb the Purple Lightning Nether Flame.
