Life Divine Realm.

Heavenly Wind Tribe, Hall of Merit.

Over the course of more than a thousand years, the number of God Level experts in the Heavenly Wind Tribe had doubled. Old Neil's stone house had also grown several times larger as the tribe expanded, and it had been renamed the tribe's Hall of Merit, where the tribe's God Level experts could exchange their merits.

Inside the Hall of Merit, Old Neil was still dozing at his wooden table.

Dressed in a pale cyan robe, Milo came rushing in.

Milo tossed a beastskin pouch onto the wooden table and called out to wake Old Neil. "Old Neil, here are my merits for the past hundred years."

Old Neil slowly got up and stretched before picking up the beastskin pouch. "Oh, so many Divine Sparks. Struck it rich?"

He lifted the pouch and shook it. The Divine Sparks inside knocked against one another with a crisp clinking sound.

Milo chuckled, braced one hand against the tabletop, and perched half his backside on it. "I took care of a few patrol squads from the Blazing Mountain Tribe."

As the number of God Level experts in the Heavenly Wind Tribe grew, friction with several neighboring tribes had gradually increased, with the Blazing Flame Mountain Tribe first among them.

Originally, the Blazing Mountain Tribe had only two Highgod experts, placing it in the lower middle ranks among the twelve surrounding tribes. More than five hundred years ago, a Highgod from another plane had joined the Blazing Mountain Tribe, and a hundred years ago, another Midgod in the tribe had broken through.

With two more Highgods, the Blazing Mountain Tribe's strength had surged. Its leader was clearly not one to sit still either, and with the addition of two Highgod experts, the tribe had begun expanding madly in every direction.

The Heavenly Wind Tribe was closest to the Blazing Mountain Tribe and was also the strongest of its neighboring tribes. In the past ten years, the two had clashed no fewer than ten times over a mineral vein, and at least ten Midgods had fallen.

Quite a few people, like Milo, had been secretly hunting the other side's God Level patrol squads.

Old Neil's thin fingers tapped lightly on the table, and a cold glint flashed in his eyes. "Those bastards from the Blazing Mountain Tribe will go to war with our Heavenly Wind Tribe sooner or later. Stop hunting their patrol squads. They must be on guard by now."

Milo nodded. "The last time I struck, the number of Midgods in their patrol had already increased from one to three. If I hadn't decided at the last minute to bring two more friends along, I'm afraid even if we'd beaten them, some God Level experts would have fallen. I've already agreed with a few friends that we won't hunt them again for twenty years."

Old Neil nodded, the sharp glint fading from his cloudy eyes, as if he had not been the one radiating killing intent moments ago.

After they chatted for a while, Old Neil changed the subject. "By the way, Leijia still hasn't come out of seclusion. He's already used up the merits from selling those divine artifacts last time. If he doesn't pay up in three years, we'll have no choice but to force open the door to his residence."

Old Neil smacked his lips. "This Leijia really is from another plane. When he first arrived, he sold two Midgod Artifacts at once without even blinking. If the rules didn't forbid owing merits, I really wouldn't want to force him out."

In the tribe, aside from a few people who had fallen on hard times, those who could put Midgod Artifacts up for sale were generally Midgod experts.

Leijia had produced two Midgod Artifacts so easily that he clearly wasn't short of merits. If Old Neil could do him a favor, it would definitely be a worthwhile deal.

Milo's eyes flickered as he immediately caught on. He said to Old Neil, "Old Neil, if Leijia hasn't come out, put his merits on my account."

Before the two had finished speaking, a powerful fluctuation descended upon the area of the Heavenly Wind Tribe where the Midgods lived. The divine light of the Laws of the Universe enveloped an entire house.

The two flew out of the hall one after the other and looked toward the area where the Laws of the Universe had descended.

Milo's pupils contracted slightly. "That's Leijia's house."

"Oh, the Laws of the Universe." Old Neil gave Milo a somewhat teasing look. "Looks like your plan has fallen through."

Both of them knew that Leijia's two Divine Clones were Midgods. The descent of the Laws of the Universe naturally couldn't mean he was breaking through to the Midgod level, much less that a new Divine Clone was becoming a god.

That left the result of the Laws of the Universe descending upon Leijia's house obvious: Leijia had to be breaking through to Highgod.

Highgod!

A trace of envy flashed in Milo's eyes. The entire tribe had only three Highgod experts, and each enjoyed abundant offerings from the tribe's God Level experts. The tens of thousands of Midgods and Lowgods in the tribe were all subject to its Highgods' commands.

Even the strongest Midgod, one who had comprehended five profound mysteries, was nothing more than a slightly larger ant before a Highgod. The gap of one law was like an impassable chasm.

The light of the Laws of the Universe vanished as quickly as it had come. In a mere dozen or so breaths, Leijia completed his transformation from Midgod to Highgod.

Go!

Old Neil and Milo exchanged a glance, then flew toward Leijia at the same time.

With a new Highgod born, the first thing to do was naturally to offer congratulations.

As the saying went, I might not remember who came, but I'd remember exactly who didn't!

Old Neil and Milo had flown toward Leijia at once, but three figures were flying faster than either of them. They were the tribe's other three Highgod experts.

Inside the house, Leijia sat cross-legged and abruptly opened his eyes. He had already taken the High Godhead, transformed by the Laws of the Universe, back into his body.

Feeling the abundant Lightning Element Divine Power within him, Leijia's eyes gleamed. "With this breakthrough to Highgod, I've also fused most of the fourth profound mystery of the Lightning Element. My strength now probably isn't much different from Uhtred's a thousand years ago. At least I won't be forced to use my Innate Divine Ability after just a few moves."

With his strength greatly increased, Leijia swept his divine sense over the surrounding area, instantly covering more than half the tribe. He also discovered the tribe's three Highgods, as well as Old Neil and Milo.

Leijia rose, brushed the dust from his clothes, and waved a hand. The sealed doors swung open at once.

Before Leijia could step outside, a hearty laugh rang out. "Brother Leijia, congratulations on breaking through to Highgod!"

When Leijia stepped through the doors, all three of the Heavenly Wind Tribe's Highgods were there.

The Highgod standing in the middle had long cyan hair tied behind his head. His cyan robe moved without wind, and dense Wind Divine Power radiated from him.

This Wind Element Highgod was the leader of the Heavenly Wind Tribe. Of the other two Highgods, one was of the Earth Element and the other of the Fire Element; they were the Heavenly Wind Tribe's two deputy leaders.

The Tianfeng leader stepped forward and smiled at Leijia. "Brother Leijia, with so many Midgods in the tribe who have comprehended five profound mysteries, I never expected you to be the first to break through."

It was no wonder the Tianfeng leader was surprised. Ever since joining the tribe, Leijia had spent his time there comprehending profound mysteries. Aside from asking around for information in the tribe a few times, he had never once displayed his strength.

No one had expected Leijia to break through to Highgod so quietly.
