Background / History

Rebirth and the Four Siblings

Redding retains memories of a previous human life and knowledge of Coiling Dragon. These memories guide his cultivation choices and warn him of the Four Divine Beasts’ original fate: becoming Lower Sovereigns, dying at Augusta’s hands, and leaving their clan without Sovereign protection 1 2 3 16.

Born in the Skyrite Mountains, he became the eldest and strongest of the four siblings. His early attempts to teach the others profound mysteries failed because they expected their bloodlines to carry them naturally to godhood. After attaining Water godhood himself, he overwhelmed all three with his domain and soul attacks, turning their complacency into determination to cultivate 1 2 3.

Redding then explained the Earth, Wind, and Fire Laws. Bowen became a god first, followed by Nemo and Laius less than a hundred days later. Redding encouraged their rivalry because he wanted all four to advance before Sovereign Sparks appeared 3 4.

Journey and Crimson Island

After killing Tristan’s Darkness Highgod Clone, Redding led his siblings toward the Amethyst Mountains. All four had chosen External Godhood, so he wanted Amethyst to repair and strengthen their divided souls. Along the way, he killed Frost and established friendly relations with Pash 8 10.

On Crimson Island, Redding sought nautical charts and discovered a Heaven and Earth Wonder capable of changing soul aura. He deliberately allowed its owner’s group to ambush him, killed the attackers, and pursued the surviving owner’s other clone to obtain the object 11 12 13 14.

The confrontation escalated into a battle with island lord Luolie. Rather than kill a capable administrator, Redding subdued him and had Bowen plant a Death Soul Seed in him. Luolie continued managing the island, while Laius’s Destruction Clone remained to recruit experts and collect Heaven and Earth Wonders 16 17.

Leijia and the Amethyst Mountains

Redding sent his Lightning and Life Clones into the other Overgod Planes under the identity Leijia. His aim was to establish a separate power base, acquire additional Sovereign Sparks, and preserve a concealed force that could support his public identity 18 28 41.

As Leijia, he won the Hundred Battles Arena, explained profound-mystery fusion to Uhtred, and became deputy chief of the Heavenly Wind Tribe. He studied divine-beast bloodlines there and later ordered the Heavenly Wind and Lieshan tribes to unite the twelve tribes. He also protected Vivian and negotiated over her Life Sovereign Sparks under an Overgod Oath 20 25 28 37.

Meanwhile, Redding’s main party reached the Amethyst Mountains after thousands of years of travel. He absorbed Amethyst, formed a Fate Clone, and befriended Leiyuan and Zijing. Over fifty thousand years, his soul became strong enough to withstand simultaneous soul attacks from Leiyuan, Zijing, and Nemo without injury 28 29 30 31.

Sovereignty and Heavenly Sacrifice City

Redding’s group secured two Destruction Sovereign Sparks, one refined by Pash and the other given to Zijing. Although he had originally sought at least Mid-level Sparks for the siblings, he ultimately accepted a practical opportunity: four compatible Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind Sparks obtained through Crimson Island. The siblings refined them together and became Lower Sovereigns 2 4 33 34 35.

He deliberately built a broader faction rather than relying only on the Four Divine Beasts. Zijing and Leiyuan became core allies; Leiyuan later refined a Mid-level Earth Sovereign Spark obtained through Leijia’s activities 34 35 40.

Returning to the Skyrite Mountains, Redding proposed a permanent home and stronghold. The Sovereigns built Heavenly Sacrifice City in ten days. Over the next two hundred thousand years, it grew to tens of millions of residents, with Inkstone currency, a Fiend Castle, and a garrison established under his direction 39 40.

Water Divine Plane and Renewed Enemies

Summoned by the Laws of the Universe, Redding joined the other six Water Sovereigns to create the Water Divine Plane. There he encountered Tristan again, now a High-level Water Sovereign. Neither immediately attacked: Tristan faced Redding’s larger faction, while Redding kept the Four Divine Beasts’ combined strength concealed 40 41 42 43.

The plane took eighty thousand years to complete. Redding’s precise control produced a continent nearly as large as those made by the Mid-level Sovereigns, and the work brought him close to complete fusion of all six Water mysteries. He subsequently claimed his own continent, a neighboring continent, and nearby waters 44 45.

When Tristan later pursued him through Spatial Turbulence, Redding feigned panic and deliberately reduced his speed. Oliver, a Mid-level Fate Sovereign seeking his Water Spark, joined the pursuit. Redding allowed Oliver’s first blow to send him flying, concealing his true strength while continuing his plan against Tristan 50.

Appearance

• Human Divine Clone: A refined young man with black hair, brown eyes, and white robes. His hair is long and loose when the clone first forms, but short in his encounter with Tristan 1 8.
• Azure Dragon True Body: An enormous azure dragon, described at thousand-meter scale, with a body capable of dominating the sky 1 2.
• Dragon Transformation: Azure scales, sharp dragon claws, pointed horns, and a thick dragon tail 16 30.

Personality

Redding is ambitious, disciplined, and strongly motivated by survival. Knowledge of the siblings’ original downfall makes him unwilling to leave their future to bloodline talent or a powerful patron. He prioritizes cultivation, Sovereign Sparks, and the Fusion Innate Divine Ability as foundations of their independence 4 16 25.

He is pragmatic about organization and alliances. He values Luolie’s administrative ability more than his fighting strength, delegates routine management to preserve cultivation time, and recruits reliable Sovereign allies rather than opportunistic followers 16 17 34 42.

His humor can be mischievous or ruthless. He treats overwhelming his siblings as motivation, jokes about the criminal uses of soul-aura disguise, and readily kills attackers for their possessions. In serious combat, however, he avoids unnecessary speeches and conceals advantages whenever possible 2 8 12 14 50.
