  • Tesoro pointed out that Beli’s purchasing power was gradually declining, and Lin Yuan praised his business insight.
  • Tesoro suggested that Lin Yuan compete for a seat as an Emperor, and the others watched Lin Yuan expectantly.

Ch. 28Destination: Sky Island

  • Lin Yuan defeated Gan Fall and the guard captains, and Gan Fall agreed to submit rather than risk the people of Sky Island being killed.
  • Lin Yuan ordered Gan Fall to summon a Shandia representative and took over Gan Fall’s palace while waiting.
  • A guard reported that Saga and the Shandia People had attacked, so Lin Yuan went with Gan Fall to the battlefield.

  • Lin Yuan gave Enel the Rumble-Rumble Fruit and told him to eat all of it.
  • Enel ate the fruit, gained lightning powers, and declared himself the thunder god, so Lin Yuan slapped him.
  • Enel questioned whether he still needed to follow Lin Yuan and challenged him to a fight.
  • Enel turned into lightning and attacked Lin Yuan, but Lin Yuan used Observation Haki to strike him and send him crashing through Sea Cloud trees.
  • Enel refused to give up and challenged Lin Yuan again, announcing his Thirty Million Volts: Thunderbird attack.

Ch. 34Enel Joins

Enel ate the Rumble-Rumble Fruit but exhausted himself trying to attack Lin Yuan, who then explained that strength required training and Haki as well as a Devil Fruit. Enel agreed to follow Lin Yuan and grow stronger, though he vowed to challenge him again.

  • Enel unleashed a lightning attack at Lin Yuan, missed, and collapsed from exhaustion.

  • Lin Yuan told Enel that a Devil Fruit alone would not make him a top-tier fighter and offered to help him train Armament and Observation Haki.
  • Enel demanded to see Lin Yuan’s true strength, insisting that he would not be discouraged.
  • Lin Yuan transformed into the enormous crimson dragon god Zhu Jiuyin and told Enel he was not yet in his final form.

  • Enel asked about Lin Yuan’s strength and the Blue Sea, and Lin Yuan encouraged him to rebuild his physique, train, and develop his Devil Fruit.
  • Enel stuffed himself with roast meat as Lin Yuan recovered his stamina and considered training his Haki and other abilities.
  • Lin Yuan took Enel toward Shandora and told him that Gan Fall and Saga were under his command, barring Enel from harming the Skypieans or Shandia People.
  • Lin Yuan and Enel reached Shandora, where Enel marveled at the gold and Lin Yuan said he had a use for most of it.

  • Lin Yuan watched from his Flame Clouds as Enel realized that his attack had barely affected the giant serpent.

Ch. 38Enel vs. the Lord of Shandora!

Enel fought the Lord of Shandora, first blasting it with lightning and then shocking it at close range until his stamina ran low. After Enel pierced its eye with a makeshift golden spear, the wounded beast launched a dying counterattack, and Lin Yuan appeared to protect the helpless Enel.

  • Enel struck the Lord of Shandora with a massive Thunder Ball, but the blast only wounded the giant snake and damaged Shandora’s gold.
  • Enel clung to the Lord of Shandora’s broken scale and repeatedly shocked it until the beast was badly burned and Enel ran out of stamina.
  • Lin Yuan told Enel to use the surrounding gold as a weapon, and Enel forged a heavy spear from a golden pillar.
  • Enel hurled the spear through the Lord of Shandora’s eye, but the enraged snake struck him with its tail and sent him flying.
  • As the Lord of Shandora charged at the injured Enel, Lin Yuan appeared in front of him and reached for his sword.

Ch. 39The Golden Bell Rings!

Lin Yuan killed the Lord of Shandora, rang the Golden Bell, and took it with its Poneglyph base. He planned to return to the Blue Sea with Enel after checking on Upper Yard, while making Enel train by smelting Shandora’s gold.

  • Lin Yuan split the Lord of Shandora in two with a single sword slash, then left the injured Enel to rest while he climbed the giant tree.

  • Lin Yuan warned Enel not to exhaust himself and began training him after Enel settled down on the Flame Clouds.
  • Lin Yuan compared Enel’s strength to Marine ranks and explained that Haki experts and the Glint-Glint Fruit user could surpass his speed.
  • Lin Yuan joked that Enel would need a lifetime to catch up to him, then sensed danger with Observation Haki and drew his sword.
  • Lin Yuan and Enel saw Golden Lion Shiki approach from floating islands after their slashes collided in midair.
  • Shiki invited Lin Yuan and Enel to join him, but Lin Yuan mocked him and prepared to return the attack with a slash.

Ch. 42Lin Yuan's Display of Power

Lin Yuan challenged Golden Lion Shiki and won their clash of slashes, but chose not to risk a full battle over the gold he was protecting. After Shiki let him leave, Lin Yuan departed with Enel and teased him about the fight shaking his confidence.

  • Lin Yuan unleashed his Conqueror's Haki and launched a powerful slash at Golden Lion Shiki, while Enel watched in awe.
  • Golden Lion Shiki countered with his swords, but Lin Yuan's slash broke through his attacks and struck the floating island behind him.
  • Lin Yuan asked Golden Lion Shiki to move aside, and Shiki acknowledged Lin Yuan's strength before letting him go.
  • Lin Yuan flew away on the Flame Clouds, while Golden Lion Shiki reflected on his declining strength and wondered if he had grown old.
  • Lin Yuan looked at the silent Enel and asked whether the fight had shaken his confidence.

Ch. 43Tesoro's Proposal

After returning to Cocoyasi Village with Enel and a fortune in gold, Lin Yuan discussed plans to expand Tesoro’s business onto the Grand Line. The group agreed to move forward with the venture, leaving Tesoro and Lin Yuan to scout for a headquarters.

  • Enel asked Lin Yuan how he could grow stronger quickly, and Lin Yuan told him to train for at least a year before beginning special training.

  • Lin Yuan told the group they had taken a Sky Island and brought back gold worth ten billion Beli.
  • Tesoro proposed establishing a headquarters on the Grand Line and expanding through casinos, factories, plantations, trade routes, and recruitment.
  • Genzo and Bellemere agreed to leave Cocoyasi Village, and Lin Yuan said he and Tesoro would go ahead to find a place on the Grand Line.

Ch. 44Poneglyph.

Lin Yuan returned with a vast haul of gold and gave Cocoyasi Village’s residents gold bricks before presenting Olvia and Robin with a Poneglyph rubbing. Olvia and Robin began studying it, and Lin Yuan identified its contents as information about Poseidon and Roger’s message.

  • Nami asked Lin Yuan whether his gold could buy lots of yummy things, and he revealed the gold he had brought back to the villagers.
  • Enel and Tesoro argued over Enel’s golden spear, so Lin Yuan scolded them and warned them not to turn against their own side.
  • Lin Yuan cut a block of gold into bricks and gave one to each villager, teasing Nami before Bellemere kept her brick safe.
  • After the villagers left, Lin Yuan gave Olvia and Robin a Poneglyph rubbing, and they excitedly examined and took notes on it.
  • Olvia offered to translate the Poneglyph, and Lin Yuan said it contained the location of the Ancient Weapon Poseidon and Roger’s message.

Ch. 45Robin's Decision

Lin Yuan reassured Olvia and Robin that he would help them find Poneglyph rubbings, then planned a visit to Water 7 to meet Tom and improve the Ark Maxim. He trained Enel, Tesoro, Stella, Erza, and Emile in Haki and their abilities, and a month later he prepared to leave.

  • Kuina asked Lin Yuan to spar, then explained that she wanted to become a great swordsman despite her father's doubts about women reaching the top.
  • Lin Yuan told Kuina that women could pursue the same path to strength and offered to defeat her father to prove it.
  • Shimotsuki Koshiro arrived and asked Lin Yuan what brought him to the village, and Lin Yuan said he now wanted to challenge him.

Ch. 47Showdown with Koshiro: A Clash of Strength and Skill

Lin Yuan challenged Shimotsuki Koshiro to a duel, wagering that he should train Kuina to become the World's Greatest Swordsman. Their fight began with Lin Yuan overwhelming Koshiro with rapid sword strikes, but Koshiro unleashed a powerful Haki-coated counterattack that forced Lin Yuan to retreat.

  • Lin Yuan challenged Shimotsuki Koshiro and proposed teaching Kuina, then followed him to a mountain clearing with Kuina.
  • Lin Yuan dismissed Koshiro's complaints about Devil Fruit users and said he would demonstrate sword skill, prompting Koshiro to attack with a Flying Slash.
  • Lin Yuan dodged the slash, countered with his own, and rushed Koshiro, who broke the attack and blocked Lin Yuan's strike.
  • Lin Yuan's speed and strength pushed Koshiro onto the defensive as Kuina watched from the Flame Clouds.
  • Koshiro erupted with a powerful aura, coated both hands in Armament Haki, and struck Lin Yuan with a hidden force that sent him retreating.

Ch. 48Shimotsuki Koshiro's Compromise

Lin Yuan and Shimotsuki Koshiro fought to a draw in a clash that split the mountaintop and the clouds, but Koshiro conceded defeat. He made Lin Yuan Kuina’s teacher and agreed to stop discouraging her dream of becoming the world’s greatest swordsman.

  • Shimotsuki Koshiro admitted defeat and heard Lin Yuan say he intended to help Kuina become the world’s greatest swordsman.
  • Shimotsuki Koshiro made Lin Yuan Kuina’s teacher and encouraged her to train for her dream.

Ch. 49Shattering the Attic of Fate

Lin Yuan met Kuina and promised to help her pursue her dream of becoming the World's Greatest Swordsman. Fearing the attic accident that would kill her, he demolished the dojo’s only attic, made Kuina promise to avoid dangerous equipment, and left Shimotsuki Koshiro with compensation and money for her care.

  • Kuina became emotional when Shimotsuki Koshiro supported her ambition, and Lin Yuan comforted her and promised to take care of her.
  • Lin Yuan learned Kuina was nearly seven and agreed that she would remain at the Isshin Dojo until he had time to teach her.

Ch. 50Go, Enel, You're the Strongest!

Lin Yuan left Kuina a huge gold bar as a challenge and flew back to Cocoyasi Village, where he and his companions prepared to depart for the Grand Line. After a week at sea, they encountered the powerful man who had once forced Lin Yuan and Robin to flee.

  • Lin Yuan praised Kuina, left her a gold bar to lift, and discussed swordsmanship with Shimotsuki Koshiro before flying away.
  • Lin Yuan returned to Cocoyasi Village, where his companions had prepared their luggage, supplies, and a merchant ship for the voyage.
  • Lin Yuan lifted everyone and their cargo to the ship with Flame Clouds, and the group sailed away as the villagers bid them farewell.
  • After seven days, Lin Yuan's group crossed the Knock Up Stream and continued toward Water 7, overcoming Marine inspections and pirate attacks along the way.
  • A man formed an ice path across the sea, and Robin recognized him as the one who had gravely wounded Lin Yuan before; Lin Yuan assured her he would not lose again.
