"Well then, Wendy, since we're going to the Elite Camp soon anyway, you'll be about the same age by then and can start learning the Six Powers. How about using the Six Powers in battle?"
"That's great! I just don't know when I'll be able to learn it!" Wendy said with some anticipation.
"You have quite a bit of talent; you're thoughtful, with strong observation and insight skills. You'll learn very quickly!"
Vic reassured her, and he wasn't lying. Wendy's talent was indeed exceptional; she had reached the critical point of Observation Haki in just a few months, and the time it took to master it was already very short. This was probably related to the fact that she was a sniper.
"I want to learn Geppo first, I want to fly in the sky!" Rebecca said longingly.
"If it were you, it should be quick. Your current speed is already comparable to 'Shave.' Geppo is an advanced skill of Shave, and you should be able to master it soon!"
"I want to fly in the sky too! Just thinking about it makes me happy!" Wendy also looked longingly at him.
Vic was speechless. Why was he so eager to fly? What was the principle behind it?
Humans are born with a yearning for the sky, but now that Vic has learned to Geppo, he doesn't have any particular interest in the sky anymore!
"Hey, everyone's here! Looks like we can have another Sea Kings feast today, Vic!"
A familiar voice came from behind them. The three looked in the direction of the voice and saw Aokiji, Smoker, and Hina walking out of the forest and heading towards the cabin. The voice was Aokiji's.
Vic found it somewhat amusing. Ever since Aokiji drank his soup, he had become somewhat addicted to his cooking, and would often come over for a meal, ostensibly to strengthen the bond between new friends.
" Smoker, are you fully recovered?" Vic ignored Aokiji's words. He won't leave unless you cook something delicious; he'll just lie on the ground and wait, so there's no need to worry about him.
"That's about right. If I don't do well soon, I'll miss my graduation exam. I want to become a higher-ranking official!"
Smoker's face was still somewhat pale; his injuries had not fully healed.
Rebecca and Wendy also went up to greet Hina warmly, while Vic remained seated.
"I never expected Smoker to be such a power-hungry guy, that's quite a surprise!" Vic teased.
"A higher position allows you to do things better. It's hard to achieve anything if your official rank is too low. I've seen too many of these things in Loguetown!" Smoker said with a sigh, not annoyed.
Aokiji looked at Smoker with some surprise, and Vic also glanced at Smoker was of a similar age.
"Alright, you guys chat, it's almost lunchtime, I need to hurry up and get to the sea. Honestly, a bunch of ability users, they can't help at all!" Vic said, getting up and walking towards the beach, muttering to himself as he went.
Aokiji and Smoker awkwardly scratched their heads. They knew Vic was referring to them, Hina was not within the scope of their verbal attacks.
Soon, a sumptuous feast of Sea Kings was served, and everyone began to raise their glasses and drink heartily.
"Oh, if Rear Admiral Gion were here too, it would be so much more lively!" Rebecca suddenly blurted out.
Vic and Wendy looked at Rebecca with strange expressions, while the other three, unaware of what was going on, continued eating and drinking as usual.
"Yes, Rear Admiral Gion must be very lonely on his mission!" said Hina.
"Well! I heard Gion is on a mission with Tokikake, so she shouldn't be lonely!" This time it was Aokiji who spoke.
Wendy looked at Vic with a strange expression. She had heard about Major Rear Admiral Tokikake Kakei's proposal to Rear Admiral Gion, and now that the two were together, she had many thoughts running through her mind, and a melodramatic soap opera appeared in her head.
Rebecca felt conflicted upon hearing this. She hoped that Rear Admiral Gion Rear Admiral Tokikake would just get together, but she also couldn't bear to Rear Admiral Gion suffer (yes, being with anyone other than Vic is suffering, that's Rebecca's understanding). She recalled the complex look in Rear Admiral Gion's eyes when he left, and she was deeply moved.
While Vic and his companions were eating and drinking, a meal was also being served on a warship in a certain sea area of New World.
" Gion, I really love you. Marry me, and I'll treat you well for the rest of my life. Whatever you say goes. If you tell me to go east, I'll never go west!" Tokikake looked at Gion with deep affection, extending the large bone and flesh in his hand towards Gion as if offering her a flower.
Gion, who usually refused immediately and loudly, remained silent this time. She did not take the piece of meat and stopped eating as well.
Gion looked at Tokikake with a complicated expression, then at the food on her plate. She thought of a certain jerk who had cooked such delicious food for her.
That bastard kept whipping her buttocks with a knife. Every time she thought about it, she would feel a strange sensation on her buttocks. He would stop after he finished whipping her, and he wouldn't continue. Every time, she was filled with hatred, but unfortunately, she couldn't beat him.
" Tokikake, don't do that again. I already have someone I love. There's no way we can be together!" Gion said those words again, but this time her tone was calm, completely different from her usual irritability.
Tokikake sensed that Gion's rejection was different from before; he opened his mouth but no words came out...
We'd almost finished eating at the seaside cabin; Vic's cooking was, of course, excellent, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
"Hey! Vic, I saw Sakazuki and Onigumo go back to headquarters. You better watch out, they might be after you!" Aokiji blurted out while eating.
"Oh, Sakazuki wants to avenge Onigumo?" Vic asked in surprise.
"No way! Vice Admiral Sakazuki is a monster. He's so old. How could Vic, who's only been training for a few years, be a match for him?" Hina exclaimed in surprise.
" Hina, is that Sakazuki strong? Stronger than Vic right now?" Rebecca asked with some concern.
" Sakazuki's Logia- Magma-Magma Fruit is the most powerful Logia ability; he's really strong!" Hina added.
The joyful atmosphere turned somewhat oppressive; this was the effect of Aokiji's words, Ice-Ice Fruit also carried a verbal attack.
" Smoker, your Logia Smoke-Smoke Fruit isn't just smoke from burning the Magma-Magma Fruit, is it?"
Vic wasn't too worried. This was Marine Headquarters. Would Akainu dare to kill him? Absolutely not. Vic wasn't some weakling. He had both strength and powerful backing. And Garp was still in his prime.
Like Koby in the Paramount War, you, Akainu, can kill him at will, but you can't do that with Vic.
If Vic really wanted to kill, he would break all his teeth and still bite off a piece of Akainu's flesh. Vic is still quite far behind Akainu, but he can still fight him. Akainu shouldn't even think about taking him down in a short time!
Smoker's face darkened upon hearing Vic's words. What had he done to offend Vic? Why was he always making fun of the Smoke-Smoke Fruit -Smoke Fruit? How much did Vic dislike the Smoke-Smoke Fruit?
Vic really disliked it. The Flame-Flame Fruit be a decent fruit for a strong person, but the Smoke-Smoke Fruit? Vic really wanted to say that even a dog wouldn't eat it, but since Smoker was his friend, he could only keep those words to himself.
It would be good to try to hurt Smoker with the Smoke-Smoke Fruit so that he would have to pay more attention to training in Haki and physical techniques.
"Oh dear! Aren't you worried?" Aokiji, somewhat surprised.
"What do I have to worry about? Will he just kill me?" Vic said nonchalantly, but he was actually taking it seriously.
Hearing Vic's words, the three women not only didn't feel relieved, but became even more nervous.
"Of course not, he still knows his limits. I'm just afraid he'll seriously injure you. The Magma-Magma Fruit's attacks are too strong, and fighting him is too risky. One slip and you could lose an arm or a leg! That could be a permanent loss!" Aokiji's words were sincere and solemn.
Vic looked at Aokiji with a strange expression. "You're quite the insightful person, aren't you? Foreseeing the distant future? How did you know you'd get your legs broken by Akainu?"
Feeling bewildered by Vic's gaze, Aokiji's mouth suddenly lost its flavor.
" Vic, you shouldn't go to morning exercises for a while, just stay here!" Rebecca said worriedly.
When she heard Aokiji mention missing arms and legs, the image of Vic with a missing leg kept flashing through her mind, scaring her half to death. How could such a perfect Vic be missing arms and legs? Absolutely not.
"How could I hide away because something hasn't even happened yet? If I did that, my life might just end here!" Vic said earnestly.
In his past life, Vic had a famous saying, "When facing an enemy, always draw your sword; blood will splatter seven steps ahead; the brave will prevail!"
Vic might not be able to defeat Akainu, but he never backed down when facing Kaido!
"Ah, as expected, he has the heart of a strongman. Someone who dares to face Kaido alone is truly remarkable!" Aokiji exclaimed.
