The boy who had injured his leg earlier was now sitting on the ground, watching intently as Rebecca strolled through the pirate group, killing people.
In his eyes, Rebecca's clothes were spotless, glowing as if they were dancing gracefully with their owner. The blue longsword moved with the dance, and the pirates, as if out of control, crashed into the sword, then lay motionless on the ground.
Pirate Captain Desukurei was dumbfounded, and sweat beaded on Kanbo's forehead as he hesitated about whether to join the attack.
He realized he had underestimated Rebecca; the girl was stronger than he had imagined, and she was like a completely different person in battle, far beyond what he had seen before.
Rebecca's longsword severed a longsword that was aimed at her, and then slashed at the pirate's neck. With a swift movement, she turned in another direction, and a lead bullet fired at her pierced the forehead of another pirate.
The pirate was still swinging his sword before his soul died, and he didn't even know how he died. Rebecca kicked out, and a pirate's forearm was instantly broken. He screamed and dropped his long sword.
Rebecca followed with her other foot, kicking the falling longsword high into the air, killing two pirates at the point where the sword landed. She deflected the sword aimed at her with her longsword, kicked the man several meters away, and knocked down several pirates blocking her path.
Just then, Observation Haki sensed someone wielding a knife sweeping across her back. Rebecca bent forward and pressed her upper body against those long legs, while simultaneously raising her right leg from behind.
As he dodged the attack, the sole of his right foot struck the hilt of the falling longsword, sending it hurtling towards the pirate who had fired the sniper shot earlier.
At this moment, Rebecca was already in a split position with one foot in the sky and the other on the ground. Her right hand swiftly plunged her longsword into the legs of the pirate who had ambushed her with a longsword from behind. The pirate, in pain, dropped his sword and stared in horror at Rebecca in her split position.
Rebecca didn't let him suffer for long. She drew her sword, leaned back, and slit his throat. She swung her longsword back to block the long blade coming at her, then leaped into the air and spun twice at lightning speed. She kicked the man in the chest, and with a crack, the pirate flew away. All that remained were his fallen sword and a scream that faded into the distance.
Rebecca coldly surveyed the few remaining pirate henchmen. The pirates stared at Rebecca in terror; she was a female killing machine. So many of their brothers had been slaughtered, leaving only a few. Her swift and decisive actions had intimidated them, making them hesitant to advance. Rebecca's aura was too overwhelming; they dared not go forward.
But Rebecca wouldn't let them get away with it. Rebecca was raised by Vic, and the two of them had killed countless pirates on Laipe Island.
Vic wouldn't teach her the principle of putting people first; he only said one thing, "He who kills will be killed in return. If you don't value other people's lives, we won't show any mercy."
These pirates are executioners who wantonly toy with other people's lives, so Rebecca has no intention of letting any of them go.
"Shave"
Rebecca vanished from her spot in an instant, her afterimage weaving through the pirates before finally returning to Barnett's side, the blue blade slowly sheathing itself.
With a soft "ding," the longsword was completely sheathed, and the pirates who had been standing just moments before all collapsed to the ground, blood spurting from their necks, their eyes brimming with resentment and hatred.
"That move again! So fast!" Desukurei was somewhat frightened when he saw Rebecca instantly kill his remaining henchmen. Although he was Devil Fruit user, he didn't think his abilities were enough to defeat such a female warrior.
"With that speed and that swordsmanship, I wouldn't be a match for her. I could probably only barely hold my own. But isn't this exactly what I aspire to? Only battles against the strong can propel me forward!"
A fierce fighting spirit gleamed in Kanbo's eyes; his will was even stronger than that of his captain.
" Kanbo! You take care of the female swordsman, I'll handle that man!" Desukurei wasn't sure how strong Barnett was, but he knew enough about Rebecca's strength to make his choice.
Rebecca turned to look at Barnett, and seeing Barnett nod, she didn't mind. Swordsman it is, it suits her profession perfectly. She hasn't encountered many pure swordsman enemies, so comparing herself to Vic is meaningless. It's a good opportunity to see what level she's at.
Just as the battle was about to break out, Wendy and Frodeku found some Elite Camp cadets who were fighting the fire at the edge of the blaze, stopping its spread.
The townspeople also joined the firefighting efforts; they had received word that the pirate crew had been stopped and everyone was safe.
There was also a group of tourists brought by the shipping company on the island. These people were gathered together by the shipping company staff, which provided them with a layer of protection.
If it weren't for the intrusion of the Elite Camp naval unit, these pirates would have ultimately been dealt with by them; at most, they would have driven them back, but they wouldn't have killed almost all of them like Rebecca did.
However, this depends on the strength of the pirates. The shipping company has quite a few sightseeing ships, but not all of them have strong protectors on board. Many only have bounties of around ten million.
Meanwhile, Vic was inside the highest mountain on the island.
He had sensed something was off about the hot springs using his Observation Haki earlier. The effects of the hot springs on this island were simply too outrageous. If they were natives of this world, they might not have thought much of it, but for Vic, a transmigrator, there must be a cause and effect. There must be something he didn't know about happening here.
Then Vic used all of his Observation Haki and discovered something unusual on that very special highest peak.
When Vic reached the highest peak using Geppo, he discovered that the cylindrical object at the top was actually hollow. This treacherous peak would be very difficult for someone who couldn't fly to climb, as the cylindrical shape made it hard to ascend.
Vic used Geppo to enter the mountain through the hollow pipe. Vic didn't descend too far before landing on solid ground. The mountain space was very dark, but he could hear the sound of flowing water. Looking up, he could see a small circular sky. Vic's Observation Haki was constantly providing information about this place.
Vic could sense a faint aura within the mountain space, as if a creature appeared and disappeared intermittently. This alerted Vic, and he focused all his attention on this aura.
"Young man! What brings you here?"
Just as Vic was on guard, an aged voice echoed in the space, followed by a soft sound. A ring of fire gradually lit up the cave, and two lines of fire illuminated the outline of the entire underground space around the cave wall.
