However, the dock has a ramp to make it easier and more convenient for ships to enter the sea. Small ships with a small draft can enter the dock directly, but the Dog-Head Warship too big. The large draft of the warship makes the bottom of the warship deeper, and forcing it in would damage the bottom of the warship.
Normally, for super-large ships like these to enter the dry dock for repairs, preparations for water storage must be made in advance. Garp originally planned to send the warships directly in, but Iceburg and Franky stopped him.
"Didn't Vic say he had already made arrangements with you? Why are you blocking my warship now?"
Garp was annoyed that the two teenagers had opened the gate but were now blocking him. He didn't doubt that Vic had done anything wrong; he trusted Vic's abilities and character. If they said they had communicated, then they must have. He wondered if the two boys wanted a tip from him.
" Vice Admiral Garp! You've misunderstood. It's not that we're preventing the warship from entering, it's just that the water level in this dock's waterways isn't high enough. Your warship is too big; entering would damage the keel and could very well get stuck in the middle of the waterways, leaving you in a dilemma!"
Iceburg and Franky were sweating profusely, still quite nervous to see a legendary figure like Garp. But seeing Franky remain silent, Iceburg had no choice but to bite the bullet and explain the reason, otherwise he was afraid that Garp would punch them both to death in a fit of anger.
"How can the warship get in without getting damaged?" After learning the reason, Garp realized he had misunderstood the young man and continued to ask how to get in.
"The only solution is to use numbers. You have a lot of people on your warships, and we have many long crowbars in our dock. We just need to work together to lift the warships a bit from both sides of the waterway, and the two shifts of warships won't run aground!"
Iceburg, as expected of Tom's disciple, is quite quick-witted and immediately came up with a solution. This is the true thinking of an ordinary person. If it were a strong person, they would have thought to just carry him up directly, instead of wasting time using a crowbar!
" Vice Admiral Garp, how about I go and fetch Vic? He's strong enough to lift a warship all by himself."
Rebecca will do too. While she can't fully lift the warship right now, she can reduce its weight, which should fill the gap in the dock!
Barnett didn't know exactly how strong Vic was now, but Vic's strength in the Recruit Camp was terrifying. He believed that Vic could lift the Dog-Head Warship by himself, but he didn't make any absolute statements and offered another plan.
"Hahaha! Barnett! No wonder Vic always praises your intelligence; your reactions are indeed quick. But if you're looking for someone strong, you don't necessarily have to look for Vic!"
Garp agreed with Barnett's suggestion, but he clearly had his own ideas.
After finishing his sentence, the old man took off his cloak and threw it to Barnett, then plunged into the sea.
Soon, the warship started moving again, rushing towards the dock's waterway. As it climbed the slope of the waterway, the warship grew taller and taller, its bow rising high. Once the warship entered a level section of the waterway, it had completely left the water.
Then Iceburg and Franky saw a pair of hands supporting the keel of the warship as it moved forward. Compared to the entire warship, those hands were insignificant. If the two hadn't been standing so close, they might not have noticed them at all. It would be plausible to say that the warship had taken off on its own.
Yet these very hands were able to support a warship the size of a small mountain; if they were made of steel of the same size, the steel would probably be bent under the weight.
But in the hands of that legendary man, lifting the warship was like lifting a toy boat. It wasn't until the warship had completely entered the calm waterway that the old man revealed his white-haired head.
Barnett knew what the old man was thinking when he dived into the sea. The strong man he was talking about was himself. He also remembered that back in Recruit Camp, the weight Vic used was the same one the old man used when he was young. So it's alright, he definitely has that strength.
Iceburg and Franky were dumbfounded. Their master was Fish-Man, ten times stronger than a human, but even he couldn't lift such a large warship!
There was no problem with ordinary-sized ships. They stared wide-eyed until Garp lowered the warship into the dock and the marines disembarked. Only then did they realize what was happening and hurriedly turned the winch to lower the gate.
Once the dock gates were completely closed, the matter was considered closed. Now all that was left was to wait for the Aqua Laguna to leave. With the dock's protection, the warships would not be affected by the wind and waves.
Moreover, Tom and his crew didn't need to worry about the sailors on the warship. The warship had rooms, a kitchen, and food, so they didn't need to bother the owners.
"Everyone, listen up! Don't leave the warship unless absolutely necessary. Do what you're doing at sea normally, and don't cause trouble for our masters. Just bear with it for a few days; once the tsunami is over, we'll leave. Understand?"
After changing his clothes on the warship, Garp came to the deck and gave an order in his deep voice. On his warship, the marines and officers respected him the most, and he was also the most efficient in carrying out orders.
"Yes, Vice Admiral Garp!"
The synchronized sounds echoed in the dock, and a few specks of dust fell from the roof of the dock, which had not been used for shipbuilding for a long time.
Vic and Tom, who weren't there, were jolted awake by the sound. They were engrossed in their lesson, one lecturing enthusiastically and the other listening intently, when the loud shout interrupted them.
"Little guy! Take this old man to see your boss. Vic and Rebecca should be with him, right? They didn't even come to greet me when they saw I was here. Haven't washed your hair in days? Is your scalp itchy?"
Garp walked up to Iceburg and Franky, cracking his knuckles as he spoke to them. The cracking sound startled the two men, making them break out in a cold sweat. Those were the hands that had just lifted the warship! A punch from them would probably send them flying!
"Alright, old man! Don't be impulsive! We'll just wreck Mr. Tom's shipyard, that's why we're here! If we want to fight, we'll fight outside!"
Before Iceburg could even turn around to lead the way, he heard that strange yet familiar voice. Turning around, he saw his master and the navy man standing at the entrance of the workshop, walking towards him.
" Tom? Are you Tom who built Roger's ship?"
Garp and the other man approached before asking. While Vic was speaking, Karp had already fixed his gaze on Tom and immediately recognized Tom as a Fish-Man. Moreover, this was the famous Shipbuilding Island, so he was already ninety percent certain.
