If given the chance to escape prison, Bullet will continue to fight against the world's strongest. Apart from cultivating to become stronger and challenging the powerful, he seems to have no other pursuits in this life. Perhaps the things he once pursued have already been destroyed by his own hands. There is nothing else but becoming stronger.
Bullet's appearance was pretty much the same as Vic knew, but there were no burn marks on his neck from the Buster Call, and he was wearing earmuffs now, indicating that his right ear wasn't shattered during the Buster Call, but rather injured in a previous battle. His muscular body was still as imposing as ever, but there was a hint of confusion in his aggressive eyes.
"It's too early to think you can fight the old man. If you can't even beat me, then you're even less qualified to fight him."
Someone like you, who only pursues power, could simply go and fight those great pirates. Even if you kill or cripple them, no one will care, and many people will cheer for you and thank you.
But now you're attacking so many weak civilians! I can only say you're a bully who preys on the weak. You just haven't met Whitebeard, Kaido, or Big Mom yet, otherwise you would have been killed by them long ago. You can only bully those weaker than you. You're like a walking corpse, truly pathetic and hateful!
Vic stepped forward, emerging from behind Garp and stepping out from the crowd. Bullet had already been handed over to him by Garp, so it was now his turn to take the lead.
Bullet's initial goal was to protect his country. After being betrayed by his country, he met Roger and took Roger as his role model. However, after Roger's death, he lost his goal and believed that he could never surpass Roger.
Bullet has lost his purpose and is now acting somewhat arbitrarily, even slaughtering civilians, which makes Vic look down on him.
If you only seek power and target the strong, Vic won't say anything. As long as you've fought once, he'll respect you as an opponent.
However, Bullet's expression changed noticeably when he saw Garp. The confusion in his eyes before was gone, probably because he equated Garp with Roger and thought that defeating Garp meant surpassing Roger.
" Vic! The seventeen-year-old Marine powerhouse who took down Golden Lion! I see my former self in you, but you're not ruthless enough, so you're no match for me. Let Garp handle this; you can play with my subordinates!"
Bullet wasn't angry at Vic's words; in fact, he admired Vic somewhat, but he still didn't take Vic seriously. His eyes were now only on Garp; he had found his target again.
It's important to know that in the original story, Bullet only found his new goal after Impel Down: to kill all the Four Emperors, eliminate all the Marine Admiral, and become the Pirate King!
He believed that only in this way could he completely surpass Roger and become the World's Strongest. This idea was too crazy. He probably had been holding back for too long in the Progression and had become obsessed with wild thoughts!
"Is that so? Your target is the old man, but my target is you. Don't even think about getting close to the old man if you can't defeat me. Your men can't even withstand one move from me. Do you want them to die?"
Although Bullet's upper body was exceptionally muscular, with arms thicker than Vic's thighs, giving him an imposing presence, Vic was not intimidated by his aura; instead, Vic appeared even more nonchalant.
This is his state when he's not making a move; it's probably in this state that Bullet thought Vic was no match for him.
After Vic finished speaking, Bullet's henchmen felt offended and glared at Vic angrily, some even cursing him out.
They were a bunch of outlaws, and anyone who could survive in the New World had some skills. Naturally, they wouldn't accept Vic's words. If one of them couldn't beat you, surely a group could? Even a tiger fears a pack of wolves; they could wear you down eventually.
Just as the two groups were exchanging barbs, the navy personnel who had landed by ship arrived. A large group of uniformed navy personnel came to the back of Vic and his group, including those from the Garp warship, as well as those from the Gion Tokikake warships.
The naval personnel stood ready, their eyes fixed on the opposite side, poised to attack at any moment. Only a few remained on the warships to guard them. In terms of numbers, the navy had more men, and they were all armed.
Although the pirates were fewer in number, they seemed more elite. Their weapons and clothing were very casual, with many shirtless, showing off their strong muscles and tattoos. Bullet, on the other hand, was the most neatly dressed, looking like he was in military uniform, though it was unclear which country he was from.
"Oh! You, who were able to defeat Golden Lion, certainly have the strength to keep me occupied. Then let's finish this quickly! I need to save my energy for a fight with Garp!"
Bullet knew that it would be difficult to avoid a powerful opponent like Vic if he was determined to fight him, let alone fight Garp while being entangled in this situation. That would be extremely difficult, essentially fighting two against one.
He wanted to defeat Garp one-on-one, but he never thought he could beat the two of them together. The two of them combined were already comparable to Roger and Rayleigh combined. He wasn't that arrogant.
After Bullet finished speaking, his eyes narrowed, and a strong Conqueror's Haki rapidly spread outwards from him, primarily targeting the Marines opposite him. His subordinates behind him deliberately avoided the Conqueror's Haki and did not use it to intimidate him.
Bullet unleashed his Conqueror's Haki, and the first to be hit was Vic, who was standing at the front of the group. Vic's hair and clothes were blown by an inexplicable wind, and apart from feeling as if raindrops were hitting his cheeks, he was not affected in any other way.
Vic had been baptized many times by Garp's Conqueror's Haki, which could snap trees as big as bowls from a great distance. Compared to Garp's Conqueror's Haki, Bullet's Conqueror's Haki was far inferior; the materialization of his mental energy could only hit him like a drizzle.
Garp did not unleash his Conqueror's Haki to clash with Bullet, so the massive airflow generated by the collision of Conqueror's Haki did not occur. Therefore, there was no scene of people or objects being blown away, and there was basically no substantial damage. What remained was the shock to the soul.
Garp remained calm and composed, as if nothing had happened. Gion Tokikake frowned slightly, clearly affected to some extent, but not by much.
Rebecca and the others were in a slightly worse state; they were a little out of breath, but not to the point where they couldn't stand up after being intimidated by Garp's Conqueror's Haki last time.
But the last few navy personnel were in no condition; most of them had already fainted, foaming at the mouth and rolling their eyes, while only a few were kneeling on the ground, struggling to stay upright with their hands on the ground.
Becoming stronger is the result of training and cultivating one's mind. Strong people all have a firm will, which is related to resisting the intimidation of Conqueror's Haki. This can be clearly seen from the situation on the scene.
