"You're courting death!" Hei Yao roared and lunged at him. The red crystals on his hammer burst with dazzling light; he was clearly about to unleash a powerful move. "Its energy is connected to the Origin Crystal Core," Lu Mu shouted. "We have to sever the energy chains first!" He channeled the Elemental Core's energy into the detector, which fired a green beam and temporarily froze one of the chains. "I can only freeze it for ten seconds! Attack that arm, quickly!"

Xiao Yan seized the chance. His Heavenly Flames merged with the Elemental Core's five-attribute energy, forming a multicolored longsword that struck the frozen chain with pinpoint accuracy.
