His parents, Li Xiaoran and Yun Xiyue, belonged to two Immortal Clans. After a five-year pregnancy, Yun Xiyue gave birth to a golden cocoon rather than an ordinary infant. The Li Lineage spent another five years nourishing it with heavenly treasures before Li Xunyuan emerged with the appearance of a five-year-old child 1.

His parents were absent at his emergence: Li Xiaoran had honored the Epoch Covenant by going to guard the Immortal Abyss, while Yun Xiyue had entered seclusion to attempt a breakthrough to Quasi-Supreme. She chose the name “Xunyuan” before entering seclusion 2.

Li Xunyuan combines outward courtesy with irreverent humor. He respectfully greets his elders and makes a favorable impression on banquet guests, but privately jokes, curses, and treats his extraordinary advantages with amused disbelief. Although embarrassed by the elders’ excessive affection, he treasures the family warmth he never experienced as an orphan 1 3 47.

His confidence is tempered by caution. He is prepared to summon clan support if an opponent proves too strong, checks a reward’s safety with both Li Nantian and the system, and begins tempering the bones around his heart because he considers that area vulnerable 2 25 42.

He rewards service and recognizes loyalty. Li Cangtian’s devotion to his brother persuades him that the young man is worth nurturing, and he grants Li Nantian a coveted sacred art after receiving Ao Xu’s dragon crystal. Against enemies, however, he is calculating: he deliberately spares Xuan Xiao because he expects to profit from the opportunities Xuan Xiao will encounter later 12 23 34.

His mischievous side frequently troubles others. He tests destructive abilities in the Ninth Ancestor’s Ancient Realm, flatters his uncle into discussing a meeting gift, and eagerly considers testing new system abilities on rival factions’ juniors 5 15 28.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Emergence and Appointment

Li Xunyuan awakens his past-life memories and activates the Idealist Sign-In System inside his cocoon. His emergence, physique, and immediate rise to Purple Mansion astonish the elders. After Xuan Shijiu’s death, the elders credit the Ninth Ancestor, who privately suspects Li Xunyuan’s involvement but dismisses the possibility of a Purple Mansion cultivator killing a peak Saint 1 2 3.

The Ninth Ancestor names him Divine Son but warns that the nine Holy Sons may challenge him. After roughly two and a half years of personal instruction, Li Xunyuan masters the lineage’s five Imperial Dao sword arts and opens thirteen Life Palaces 3 4 5.

Immortal Pavilion and the Brothers

At the Immortal Pavilion, he gathers Creation Source, obtains two system abilities, and selects the Heavenly Mystery Emperor Halberd. Outside, Li Cangtian challenges him and loses to the first form of the Immortal-Severing Art 7 8 10 11.

Li Cangtian then asks for help saving Li Tianji. Li Xunyuan personally erases the Calamity Curse rather than seeking an ancestor’s intervention, securing both brothers’ wholehearted loyalty 12 13 17.

Heaven-Subduing Ancient City

His arrival on a dragon provokes Ao Xing of the Great Void Dragon Court. Li Cangtian defeats and impales Ao Xing, whom Li Xunyuan subsequently kills while Li Nantian holds back Great Saint Ao Xu. Li Nantian kills Ao Xu and presents his dragon crystal to Li Xunyuan 18 20 22.

At the Star-Picking Pavilion, Li Xunyuan gains two more system abilities and refines the crystal. He enters the Immortal Forbidden Domain and receives the Six Paths of Reincarnation Fist, while the Dragon Court postpones revenge to prioritize the Three Lives Emperor Tomb 23 24 25.

Futian Auction

Li Xunyuan meets Yun Yuan and Yun Yao, purchases Dragon-Patterned Black Gold, and agrees to Li Tianji’s plan to exploit the successful bidder for a Three Lives Emperor Key. He later restrains Elder Xuan and defeats Xuan Xiao in one punch, deliberately sparing the latter for future opportunities 27 29 30 32 33 34.

The Heaven-Subduing Pavilion gives him the auctioned white beast without charge. He contracts with it and discovers that it is an Origin Qilin 34.

Seclusion and Emergence Banquet

Li Xunyuan returns home to cultivate the Chaos Eternal Immortal Body. While he remains unaware of outside events, Xuan Yi challenges him and instead fights Li Zhixing to a draw. Li Xunyuan reaches Creation Realm and, after emerging, turns his attention to Primordial Origin Gold and the full activation of his Green Lotus phenomenon 36 39 42 43.

At his emergence banquet, Huang Wu offers secret assistance in the emperor tomb. During the Dao discussion, the Primordial Dao Stele cannot bear Li Xunyuan’s Dao and disintegrates before he inscribes it, leaving him without an immortal-light baptism. Jian Xiaoyao then asks him for pointers 47 49 50.
