Humiliating the Untouchable Flower 3
Feng Ji laughed for quite a while, then grew bored when he realized no one was paying him any attention.
"That brat Lu Keyan has no backbone at all."
Feng Ji leaned against the sofa languidly, propping his chin on one hand and toying with his gold-edged tie with the other, his voice just as lazy.
"Tell me, as a scholarship student, shouldn't he have been a tough bone to gnaw? Why did he kneel in front of A-Xiao so quickly? He cost me a fortune. I bet he'd last half a month."
Fu Huai shook his head helplessly. "He has no power or influence and lives entirely on that little scholarship. You know perfectly well how that scholarship works. Lasting three days would already take some backbone."
"Fu Huai, you bet on three days, didn't you?"
At Gu Xiao's words, Feng Ji looked stunned. "Holy shit, don't you usually stay out of this?"
"I was curious." Fu Huai shrugged. "Looks like I won."
Gu Xiao scoffed. "No, I did."
Feng Ji was even more shocked. "A-Xiao, how come you got interested too? How many days did you bet on?"
"Two and a half."
Feng Ji had nothing to say. Indeed, from the time Lu Keyan received the red card to the moment he knelt, roughly two and a half days had passed.
"Congratulations, A-Xiao." A trace of genuine amusement appeared on Fu Huai's face. "You've won yourself a fortune."
But the winner wasn't Gu Xiao.
Feng Ji was furious. "A-Xiao, which bastard had the nerve to pocket your money?"
"No." Fu Huai's expression turned strange. "A-Xiao really didn't win. The winner bet on fifty-eight hours."
Feng Ji's head was full of question marks. "Who was it?"
Fu Huai shook his head. "Anonymous."
"Fuck, don't tell me it was that freak Ji Chuan!" Feng Ji couldn't accept it. "Hurry up and have them check which brat is so impressive!"
Fu Huai stopped Feng Ji. "That's against the rules."
"What rules?" Feng Ji scoffed. "We're the ones who call the shots anyway."
Gu Xiao looked at Feng Ji and smiled, his expression positively gentle. "What, you want to break my rules?"
That smile left Feng Ji briefly dazed before he quickly averted his eyes.
Fuck!
Feng Ji cursed inwardly. How was their A-Xiao growing more devilishly beautiful by the day?
No wonder he was that bastard Ji Chuan's first love.
If A-Xiao weren't their boss, he probably would've become someone's caged canary long ago.
Feng Ji swallowed all those treasonous thoughts and said stiffly, "I'm just curious, aren't I? They timed it so precisely. Aren't you guys curious?"
Gu Xiao said indifferently, "No."
Fu Huai smiled too. "Mm, neither am I."
That made Feng Ji look like the odd one out, so he could only force himself not to be curious.
Of course Gu Xiao wasn't curious, because he had guessed who the winner was.
It was Lu Keyan himself.
Interesting.
While they were toying with Lu Keyan like a plaything, it seemed Lu Keyan was playing them too.
Now that was interesting.
"We're done for." Watching Gu Xiao's expression, Feng Ji whispered furtively to Fu Huai, "Why is A-Xiao smiling like that? What nasty scheme is he cooking up now? Who do you think is going to suffer this time?"
Fu Huai said calmly, "I don't know, but you're about to."
The moment he finished speaking, a glass shattered beside Feng Ji's feet with a crash.
Gu Xiao wore a smile that wasn't quite a smile. "Feng Ji, what were you saying?"
"N-nothing." Feng Ji put on a perfect smile. "I was just telling A-Huai how you're getting more handsome by the day."
Gu Xiao couldn't be bothered with him.
He really did need some fresh entertainment.
Two days later, in Lu Keyan's dorm room.
He stared coldly at the enormous sum of money, without the slightest excitement on his face.
As though that string of zeros were just an ordinary number.
He had won the bet, but he wasn't particularly happy either.
Because Gu Xiao hadn't come to make trouble for him in two days.
Had Gu Xiao found some new entertainment?
Why? Was he not enough for Gu Xiao to play with?
"You're not qualified to be Young Master Gu's dog either!"
Lin An's words kept winding through his mind from time to time.
They lodged like a fishbone in his throat!
Why wasn't he qualified?
Because of his background?
Or because of his gender?
A ding-dong signaled the arrival of his delivery.
Finally.
It was an enormous, custom-made, life-size resin BJD doll.
The moment the money came through, Lu Keyan had ordered this doll.
As long as he paid enough, things could be delivered into his hands very quickly.
Before he even opened the packaging, he caught a delicate, sweet fragrance.
It was the scent of irises.
Noble and elegant.
The doll was 1.6 meters tall, with cold eyes cast slightly downward.
Like a god looking down upon his faithful with compassion.
Lu Keyan reached out and stroked every inch of the doll's skin, but the feel of the resin only made his gaze grow colder.
Wrong!
Wrong!!
Wrong!!!
This wasn't the right feel.
This wasn't the right gaze.
Even the floral scent wasn't quite right!
Lu Keyan's gaze turned sinister, and with a swish, a knife appeared in his hand.
One cut, another cut, and another...
Less than half an hour after the expensive resin doll had been unpacked, Lu Keyan coldly cut it into countless pieces.
This company wasn't qualified to manufacture dolls.
It deserved to go bankrupt, Lu Keyan thought darkly.
"What are you doing? Why did you close the curtains? It's too dark."
Murong Xuan complained in displeasure, turned on the light, and pulled open the curtains. His expression soon froze.
Severed limbs and broken remains littered the floor.
If not for the lack of blood, Murong Xuan would have screamed in fright.
"Are you insane?" Murong Xuan felt his heartbeat turn irregular. "You're not a medical student. Why are you learning to dismember bodies?"
Lu Keyan said calmly, "I'm an art student. I need to study human anatomy."
Murong Xuan choked, unable to say a word.
He kicked out in displeasure and happened to hit a head.
He frowned and looked down.
"Ah-"
Murong Xuan's scream cut off as though someone had suddenly seized him by the throat, leaving him afraid to make another sound.
"H-how dare you?"
Murong Xuan looked at Lu Keyan in terror. "That's Young Master Gu's head..."
"Just a coincidence."
Lu Keyan's lightly spoken words brought a measure of fear into Murong Xuan's eyes.
He looked down on this roommate of his.
He had been perfectly comfortable in his single room, only to have a freshman shoved in.
And that freshman was a scholarship student who reeked of shabby poverty.
He had to kick Lu Keyan out, Murong Xuan thought.
Preferably right out of the school.
Their aristocratic academy shouldn't allow poor people like this inside.
He had found an opportunity and schemed to make Lu Keyan offend Gu Xiao.
He had thought Lu Keyan would be a tough bone to crack, only for him to cave in so quickly.
"A red card! There's another red card!"
Someone was shouting outside the dorm room.
Murong Xuan looked at Lu Keyan in surprise. "They let you off?"
"It's Murong Xuan!"
"Murong Xuan's been given a red card!"
Murong Xuan's face went deathly pale.
Lu Keyan's expression, however, was nothing short of terrifying.
He glared fixedly at Murong Xuan. "What right do you have to catch Gu Xiao's attention?"
