A Noble Iris
The changing room.
Watching Feng Ji lean leisurely against the wall, arms folded across his chest and a little canine tooth showing as he smiled at him, Gu Xiao paused in the middle of undoing his buttons.
"Feng Ji, get out."
Feng Ji kept grinning. "A-Xiao, we're both alphas. What are you afraid of? Oh, do you want me to help you change?"
As he spoke, Feng Ji stepped closer and reached out, impatient to undo Gu Xiao's buttons for him.
"No." Gu Xiao caught Feng Ji's arm, speechless. "What, are you addicted to waiting on people, just like Fu Huai?"
Feng Ji licked his lips, looking utterly innocent. "A-Xiao, you're being unfair. Why can Fu Huai do it, but I can't?"
He forcibly undid two of Gu Xiao's buttons.
That vivid red mole was exposed before his eyes.
It really was beautiful.
And very alluring.
Looking into Gu Xiao's eyes, like gray glass beads, Feng Ji chuckled. "A-Xiao, could you let go? Pretty please?"
Feng Ji's voice was soft, almost wheedling.
These rich young masters had probably grown so used to being waited on that they had developed this compulsion to wait on others.
Speechless, Gu Xiao let go.
"Fine. Play if you want."
Feng Ji was the youngest of F4, and the best at acting spoiled.
In some people's eyes, Feng Ji even had the best temper.
People always liked to judge by appearances. A harmless-looking face made it easiest for others to lower their guard.
How many of the Feng Family's enemies had died because of Feng Ji's innocent, harmless exterior?
No one who became a core member of F4 could possibly be a little white rabbit.
Feng Ji was about his height, only roughly two centimeters shorter.
Feng Ji had long since erased that difference with the thickness of his soles.
Gu Xiao did not care about Feng Ji's little schemes. They did not affect anything anyway.
"A-Xiao, you seem to have lost weight lately."
Feng Ji wrapped his hands around his waist, seemingly measuring it for him.
"Feng Ji, keep your hands to yourself."
Feng Ji grinned, his expression innocent. "A-Xiao, I'm just showing concern for you."
He reached out and took off Gu Xiao's shirt for him.
Under the cool-toned light, Gu Xiao's body looked somewhat cold and pale.
Feng Ji's pupils abruptly contracted. A faint red mark had appeared where he had just gripped A-Xiao's waist.
"A-Xiao." Feng Ji's gaze grew deep. "Your body marks far too easily."
"So clumsy." Gu Xiao pushed Feng Ji away in disdain and swiftly changed his clothes himself.
Feng Ji said, "...I'll definitely do better next time."
"Forget it." Gu Xiao glanced at him. "Save that energy for tormenting Fu Huai."
Feng Ji fell silent.
Not because Gu Xiao had left him at a loss for words, but because... A-Xiao had finished changing into his racing suit.
It was the racing suit he had custom-made.
When Feng Ji turned eighteen, he had commissioned a racing suit for each of the three of them, specifically for street racing.
Feng Ji had slipped a little selfish wish into the suit he had commissioned for A-Xiao.
Great swathes of irises adorned the predominantly black fabric.
As long as there was light, every step brought clusters of blossoms and a surging sea of flowers.
A-Xiao was a noble iris.
"What are you spacing out for?" Gu Xiao snapped his fingers, holding his helmet in one arm. "Let's go."
Feng Ji came back to his senses and immediately followed, looking at A-Xiao's long legs and involuntarily rubbing his nose.
Good. Nothing had happened.
"A-Xiao, your car's ready too." Feng Ji could not help complaining. "What's Ji Chuan up to now? He hasn't shown up all night. How has he still not sorted things out with He Shuyu? They both like alphas. I thought they'd be like heavenly thunder igniting earthly fire."
Gu Xiao frowned. "Why do you care so much about them?"
Feng Ji's claim that they "both liked alphas" bothered Gu Xiao a little.
As far as he knew, among the universally adored protagonist's love interests, only Ji Chuan had initially liked alphas, before the universally adored protagonist turned him straight.
He Shuyu's situation... was probably meant to disgust him.
This fellow surnamed He had commendable courage.
"A-Xiao, you actually still remember He Shuyu."
Gu Xiao reached out and flicked Feng Ji on the forehead.
"My memory isn't as bad as you think."
No, that was not what he meant.
Feng Ji was unhappy.
He Shuyu did not deserve to be remembered by A-Xiao at all.
And because of that disgusting relationship of his with Ji Chuan, A-Xiao had even let him off lightly.
How could he possibly feel good about that?
Eleven thirty that night.
The mountains rang with insects, along with the sound of nightingales fluttering past.
Shelley held a slender women's cigarette between his fingers, his gaze falling on the figure approaching from the thick darkness nearby.
The black racing suit lent this Eastern beauty an extra edge.
His thick, soft hair had been swept back entirely, exposing his sharp brows and eyes.
Shelley extinguished the cigarette with his bare hand and smiled.
"A racing suit really suits you. I have a private studio. If you don't mind, Young Master Gu, I could give you a few outfits that suit you even better."
Before Feng Ji had time to get angry, he heard Gu Xiao coldly spit out his reply.
"I do mind."
Feng Ji laughed. "A-Xiao doesn't wear clothes of dubious origin. What if someone with ulterior motives poisoned them? Wouldn't you agree, Mr. Aisili?"
"You can call me Shelley," Shelley said earnestly. "There are a lot of 'Mr. Aisilis' in my family. I'm afraid you might confuse me with my younger brother."
Only then did Gu Xiao notice that Blue Hair was missing. He looked at Fu Huai.
As though he knew what Gu Xiao was thinking, Fu Huai explained, "I had someone take him away for treatment."
Oh. I thought he'd run away.
Gu Xiao withdrew his gaze and curved his lips at Shelley. "Mr. Purple Hair, after you."
Shelley said, "...After you."
Damn it, I'm dyeing my hair back tomorrow!
"A-Xiao, can you take me with you?" Feng Ji asked expectantly. "I lost just now. I'm so sad. Let me enjoy the thrill of victory with you, okay?"
Gu Xiao did not know what Feng Ji was planning, but nodded in agreement anyway. "Sure. Just behave yourself."
"You really are confident, Young Master Gu." The interest in Shelley's eyes deepened. "Only-"
He looked at Feng Ji. "Cutie, if you want to win, you should ask to come with me."
The expression on cutie Feng Ji's face instantly darkened.
He stared coldly at Shelley Aisili. "What did you say?"
Startled, Shelley took half a step back, but quickly steadied himself and shrugged. "Just telling the truth."
This youthful-looking Easterner apparently could not be underestimated either.
"Enough chatter." Gu Xiao put on his helmet, his voice becoming somewhat muffled. "Feng Ji, come here."
"Okay, A-Xiao."
Watching the two walk away, Shelley chuckled and looked at Fu Huai beside him.
"Mr. Fu, the great beauty seems to prefer the cute type."
Fu Huai's expression barely changed. "Mr. Aisili, it's time for you to take the field."
"All right. Thanks for the reminder."
Inside the cramped car, Feng Ji buckled his seat belt and let out a sigh.
"A-Xiao, you have to keep me safe."
Gu Xiao glanced at Feng Ji in the passenger seat. "If you're scared, get the hell out. Don't you know the passenger seat is the most dangerous place?"
"A-Xiao." Feng Ji sounded helpless. "I was only joking."
Gu Xiao did not indulge him. "Oh? Really? Then shut up now."
Helpless, Feng Ji could only obediently comply.
He felt that A-Xiao was still very calm.
Was A-Xiao not even interested in a sport that could send adrenaline surging?
"A-Xiao, you seem to be in a bad mood."
"So-so." Gu Xiao adjusted his seat and said calmly, "Probably because you lost. That's why I look like I'm in a bad mood."
This time, Feng Ji shut up completely.
The silver sports car pulled up alongside Gu Xiao's black one.
After a shrill whistle, the two sports cars shot straight into the night like two bullets...
