He Didn't Need Marriage
"Young Master Gu, the cameras have been destroyed."
Fu Sinian said woodenly, "It's just that my skills weren't good enough to find out who did it."
"Really?"
Gu Xiao wore a bathrobe, a cigarette between his lips, and gently blew out a small smoke ring.
The smoke ring drifted slowly upward before finally vanishing in midair.
Fu Sinian didn't dare look at Gu Xiao at all. "Young Master Gu, I wouldn't dare lie to you."
"Mm, thanks for the effort." Gu Xiao waved a hand. "You can go."
Relieved of his burden, Fu Sinian hurried away.
This beta really did dare lie to him.
Gu Xiao spat out the cigarette and stubbed it out.
Still, Fu Sinian probably wouldn't dare lie to him too brazenly. If he said he hadn't found them, then he really hadn't.
Gu Xiao scoffed. It probably wasn't that Fu Sinian lacked skill.
It was probably that someone else was far too skilled.
Gu Xiao undid his bathrobe and strolled into the bathroom.
There was still a strange smell in the air.
Forget it. I'll put up with it a little longer.
Two hours later, everything in Gu Xiao's bathroom had been replaced.
This time, there probably wouldn't be anyone else who refused to behave.
Gu Xiao was in a fairly pleasant mood.
He didn't care why the other party had installed cameras in his bathroom.
This sort of provocation was far too childish.
He was a male alpha. So what if someone saw every inch of him?!
It wouldn't cost him a piece of flesh.
He didn't intend to retaliate much, either.
Rats in the gutter weren't worth sparing any attention for.
When he returned to the bathroom, that feeling of being watched finally disappeared as well.
Though it hadn't really affected him, it had still been rather off-putting.
"A-Xiao, things have been so boring lately." Feng Ji lay sprawled on the sofa, looking up at Gu Xiao. "Didn't we give those Aisili brothers red cards? When are we going to bully them for fun?"
Gu Xiao took a sip of juice, refusing to spare Feng Ji so much as a glance.
"They're even more boring."
Looking at two identical faces, with even their hair the same color apart from the hairstyles, was boring.
The blue hair and purple hair from before had at least been somewhat interesting.
"Then when is your fiancé coming back?" Feng Ji was glum. "It's already been two days. Don't tell me he doesn't want to break off the engagement with you anymore."
Those words successfully earned Feng Ji a glance from Gu Xiao.
"If you're that bored, you can go race cars."
At that, Feng Ji perked up.
"A-Xiao, let's go together. You have no idea how captivating you look when you drive!"
Gu Xiao rolled his eyes. "I know."
Feng Ji: "..."
A-Xiao really wasn't humble in the slightest.
"Fine, I can't win against you." Feng Ji rolled over, slowly shifted around for a while, and carefully rested his chin on Gu Xiao's thigh.
A-Xiao hadn't refused or swatted him away.
Feng Ji took a deep breath, a hint of delighted surprise in his eyes.
"A-Xiao, I think we don't need marriage, don't you agree?" Feng Ji said cautiously. "Being on your own is so nice."
Gu Xiao lowered his head, his expression almost a smile. "And who would you leave the Feng Family to?"
"There are so many people in the Feng Family. Anyone will do. What if my future child turns out to be trash?"
Feng Ji's thoughts ran wild. A-Xiao's thigh...
He was resting his head on A-Xiao's thigh.
It really was intoxicating.
Gu Xiao actually believed this bullshit Feng Ji was spouting.
Though it wasn't the present Feng Ji he believed.
It was the Feng Ji of a year later.
Families like theirs placed the greatest faith in bloodlines.
Class hierarchy was deeply rooted, though it had long since rotted at its foundation.
But even if this colossus had rotted at the roots, uprooting it wouldn't be easy.
"What are you doing?"
The moment Ji Chuan entered, his eyes hurt.
And there was that anger in his heart he couldn't hide.
What was Feng Ji doing?
"A-Chuan, you're here?" Feng Ji paid no attention whatsoever to the displeasure in Ji Chuan's eyes.
Ji Chuan had been acting like this for a long time anyway.
If he cared every single time, it would be far too exhausting.
"What, am I not allowed to come?" Ji Chuan stood right in front of Feng Ji and said coldly, "Get up. Make room for me."
Feng Ji: "..."
Right, this brat was clearly doing it on purpose.
That sofa opposite was big enough for Ji Chuan to roll around on with his alpha. Why did he have to squeeze in over here with them?
Feng Ji was shameless. "Why should I get up? I'm not moving. I'm tired."
Displeased, Ji Chuan raised his foot and kicked Feng Ji's calf. "Stop hogging the latrine without taking a shit."
"You're disgusting." Feng Ji looked repulsed but still refused to get up. "Have you ever even seen a latrine, saying something like that?"
Gu Xiao lowered his head, reached out, clamped a hand around Feng Ji's neck, and forcibly hauled him up.
"Cough, cough, cough!!!"
After Gu Xiao let go, Feng Ji coughed hard enough to shake heaven and earth.
"A-Xiao, what are you doing? Trying to choke me to death?"
"Yes," Gu Xiao said calmly. "Daring to use my thigh as a pillow-weren't you just courting death?"
Feng Ji was left speechless and muttered discontentedly, "I thought you didn't mind."
As he spoke, Feng Ji even licked his lips and said brazenly, "A-Xiao, your thighs are so fleshy when they're relaxed."
And very comfortable, too.
The killing intent in Gu Xiao's eyes landed on Feng Ji's face.
Feng Ji sprang up, leaped straight onto the opposite sofa, and sat obediently, his face a picture of innocence.
"A-Xiao, I was only joking."
Feng Ji looked at Ji Chuan and changed the subject as if nothing had happened. "Oh, right, A-Chuan, what brings you here? You haven't shown up in so long, I thought you'd forgotten us."
He never showed up when he should, but now he had come specifically to ruin Feng Ji's fun.
The sensation of A-Xiao's thigh seemed to linger on his chin, and Feng Ji felt he hadn't really lost out.
He was still relatively lucky.
A-Xiao was in a fairly good mood today.
It was just that his neck hurt a little from A-Xiao's grip.
It had probably already left marks.
Whatever A-Xiao gave him, he would take.
Ji Chuan ignored the veiled barbs in Feng Ji's words and pressed a button expressionlessly.
An enormous screen slowly descended.
This was what their F4 usually used to play games or watch movies.
In front of the other two, Ji Chuan opened a livestream.
On-screen was an androgynous young man with long hair hanging loose.
He looked eerily ghostly.
"A-Chuan, what are you doing?" Feng Ji clicked his tongue and asked cutely, "Is this your latest romantic quarry? He's pretty good-looking. Suits you."
Ji Chuan met Feng Ji's gaze and curled his lips into a smile. "No. His name is Fu Rong. He's A-Xiao's... fiancé."
The faint smile on Feng Ji's face was frozen by that one word.
"This is that alpha from the Fu Family who underwent a second differentiation?" Feng Ji sneered. "Nothing special."
Ji Chuan said nothing. He had received some information, and he had a bad feeling.
"Oh, right, is he livestreaming to break off the engagement?" Feng Ji was rather unhappy. "Why make such a big fuss? Making a spectacle of himself."
