A-Xiao, who would he like?
An omega, fighting in underground matches?
Feng Ji was stunned. "You're joking, right? A-Xiao, what are you talking about?"
"Information on Fu Rong is rather difficult to dig up. I only used a few special methods." Gu Xiao smiled faintly. "He's no simple man."
Even with special methods, he had only managed to uncover a little information.
Feng Ji couldn't stand Gu Xiao's tone. "A-Xiao, none of us are simple, okay!"
Why was A-Xiao bolstering someone else's prestige and diminishing their own?
"A-Xiao, he said he loves you." Ji Chuan stared straight at Gu Xiao. "What do you think?"
Feng Ji also looked over nervously.
Ever since learning that Fu Rong was A-Xiao's fiancé, Feng Ji had been very displeased.
This man even dared to openly declare his love for A-Xiao.
Was he worthy?!
But-
What Feng Ji found even harder to accept was that Fu Rong really was worthy.
Even though Fu Rong had now become an alpha, as long as he refused to break off the engagement, he was A-Xiao's fiancé.
Their relationship was legitimate.
That word grated on his ears more than any other.
"What do I need to think?" Gu Xiao asked calmly. "This fiancé of mine and I have never met."
They had never met. What feelings were there to speak of?
Gu Xiao naturally didn't believe Fu Rong loved him.
Of course, Fu Rong didn't love "Gu Xiao" all that much either.
"Gu Xiao's" fiancé, Fu Rong, existed only to serve as a foil to the protagonist everyone adored.
He didn't like "Gu Xiao" himself; he simply couldn't accept a commoner stealing his fiancé.
Gu Xiao did rather appreciate Fu Rong's face.
But it stopped at appreciation.
Fu Rong was not only an alpha, but also a man.
"But you're so wonderful, A-Xiao. It's only natural for him to love you. The situation now is..." Feng Ji asked earnestly, "A-Xiao, what do you think?"
Gu Xiao truly wondered whether these people could understand human speech at all.
Gu Xiao said calmly, "I don't like omegas, and I don't like alphas either. Whatever the hell Fu Rong is, he has nothing to do with me."
Ji Chuan's expression went blank for an instant.
Feng Ji muttered to himself, "Could it be that you like betas? No wonder..."
No wonder he had only let Fu Sinian stay overnight.
"What, looking for a heart-to-heart?" Gu Xiao looked at them with a faint, ambiguous smile. "I'm not a therapist. I have no obligation to do that."
Like betas, of all things? These two really were worthy of being part of the universally adored protagonist's harem, their heads full of nothing but this filthy stuff.
Feng Ji closed his eyes, then quickly opened them again and smiled. "A-Xiao, since you don't like anyone, that's wonderful."
Only his liking no one was fair to them.
None of them could have him.
There weren't even any exceptions.
"Feng Ji!" Ji Chuan said sternly. "What nonsense are you spouting?"
Feng Ji came back to his senses and clicked his tongue. "Sorry. Just pretend I didn't say any of that."
"Let's go meet Fu Rong."
Gu Xiao stood and raised an eyebrow. "Let's see just how much this fiancé of mine loves me."
Feng Ji still disliked hearing the word "fiancé" leave A-Xiao's mouth, but he said nothing.
"Let's go." Ji Chuan looked at Feng Ji, who was still sitting there in a daze. "A-Ji, are you going to wait here for the screen to be replaced?"
Now even Ji Chuan was mocking him in return.
Feng Ji huffed. "Fine, let's go."
"But A-Xiao, do you know where Fu Rong is?"
Fu Rong was at the sanatorium.
He looked at the pink-haired young man before him, his expression crazed, and couldn't quite understand. "Gu Yun, long time no see. You still hate me just as much."
"Fu Rong, it's been so long, and you've actually gone from a monster neither human nor ghost to an alpha. You showed up in front of me alone. Aren't you afraid I'll kill you?"
Fu Rong's long, straight black hair was tucked entirely into his hat.
His whole face looked considerably more striking. Even after hearing Gu Yun's words, he wasn't particularly angry. "You're quite impressive yourself, getting adopted by the Gu Family's butler. So, is Gu Xiao willing to let you call him your older brother?"
The Gu Family's butler could also be considered part of Gu Xiao's family.
Fu Rong stood up and casually tossed out a remark.
"But I'm his fiancé."
A one-hit kill.
Gu Yun's eyes reddened as he glared fixedly at Fu Rong.
"Don't you dare touch Gu Xiao!"
Those words drew a rare laugh from Fu Rong.
He looked at Gu Yun in amusement, his face full of mockery.
"What sort of person do you think Gu Xiao is? Someone I can touch just because I want to? Of course, once we're married, we can naturally do whatever we want."
Those words enraged Gu Yun outright.
A dagger appeared in his hand. With a slight movement, he appeared behind Fu Rong like a phantom.
"Say one more word, and I'll kill you right here. Trading my life for the life of the Fu Family's heir is no loss."
Gu Yun had thought he had the situation under control, but the next instant, a sharp pain shot through his wrist.
His dagger had actually appeared in Fu Rong's hand.
"You..."
Gu Yun's pupils trembled as he stared at him in disbelief. "Fu Rong, what did you do?"
Fu Rong tossed the dagger aside and said airily, "Playing with knives is so dangerous. Still, you really are Gu Xiao's loyal dog. But you haven't acknowledged him as your master yet, have you?"
"You!"
Gu Yun was furious, but had no way to refute him.
Gu Xiao indeed hadn't acknowledged him yet.
"Still, someone else is even more loyal than you." Fu Rong sighed and said helplessly, "I thought Lu Keyan would avenge 'me,' but instead, he actually became Gu Xiao's dog..."
