After uttering those harsh words in the Gori, he first looked down at the wound on his chest that was slowly bleeding. Dark red blood trickled down the edge of his tattered clothes and dripped onto the gravel at his feet.
He seems to be badly injured, but that magic is enough to punish the traitor.
His lips twitched upwards slightly, then he raised his hand, his fingertips pointing in Dormon's direction, and began to mobilize the remaining magic power within his body.
Dumbledore's golden flames had receded, returning to the depths of his body like a tide. It seemed that Dumbledore concern was the safety of his prisoners; as long as they didn't die, that was enough.
A crimson light condensed at his fingertips, spreading upwards along his arm and converging into a slender rune in his palm.
The Gori's gaze passed over the edge of the runes, landing on Dormon and the Vampire.
The runes slowly rotated in his palm, emitting a dark red light.
The Gori began to activate the Bloodline Curse, and that power spread outward along an invisible path.
Bloodline Curse, simply put, means that a high-ranking Vampire can activate a curse within their bloodline, directly stripping a lower-ranking Vampire of their power, magic, and life, causing the lower-ranking Vampire to meet their end in extreme pain and fear.
For his own clan, like his few Vampire underlings, Gori could accomplish this with a single thought; but for other clans, magic was needed, and there were certain requirements—they had to be Vampire from a different generation.
Simply put, the grandfather's generation can easily kill the grandson's generation, but it's not as effective against the father's generation.
The magic quickly took shape, and in the eyes of the many Vampire, the image of the Gori suddenly became taller. The originally withered old man seemed to have transformed into a medieval lord dressed in armor, covered in blood, and holding a spear.
A sudden surge of fear made all the Vampire freeze in place. The spear in the Gori was pointed at Dormon and the Vampire behind him. Then the spear was swung, and a red light flashed.
Immediately, the effect appeared on the kneeling Vampire. As if stabbed from the inside, some clutched their chests, some bent over, and some even uncontrollably turned into bats.
But nothing happened to Dormon.
Gori's pupils contracted slightly, and he intensified the power of the curse. The crimson light in his palm became even more intense, but the Vampire in front of him remained unchanged.
Dormon, having recovered from his initial shock, smirked and straightened up, looking down at the fading crimson runes on his body. "Didn't expect that, did you? The elders have already lifted the restrictions on us; your curse is no longer effective."
The Gori's gaze lingered on his face for a moment, then he saw the changes in the Vampire behind Dormon. Some were turning back into human form, while the blood-red lines on the skin of others were fading, as if something was erasing the connection between him and them.
The hand in the Gori slowly clenched, and the light of the runes began to waver. "That old bastard Ulric, does he think he can break free from the shackles of his bloodline?"
Dormon did not answer, but simply raised his right hand. The blood mist that had been drifting in the air began to gather in his palm. The red mist, representing the original power of Vampire, reformed and formed a huge blood-red dagger above Dormon. The blade was covered with a dark red luster and was heavier than the previous dagger.
Gori took a step back; he could feel that the power contained in that dagger was beyond what he could handle in his current state.
He raised his hand and conjured a protective barrier in front of him. The blood-red light screen lit up in the dim cave, like a thin and brittle piece of glass.
Dormon swung his right hand down, and the huge dagger crashed down towards Gori, striking the barrier. The entire barrier was like ice struck by an iron rod, with cracks rapidly spreading from the point of impact to the edges.
Gori gritted his teeth and withstood the blow, but his shoulders visibly slumped, and his feet took a small half-step back on the ground.
Dormon gave him no time to catch his breath, raising his right hand once more. The blood mist in the air gathered again, and a second dagger hurtled straight at him.
The barrier in the Gori shattered after the second impact, the fragments scattering like transparent snowflakes. He had to dodge to the side, the dagger grazing his shoulder, bringing a burning sting.
The Vampire henchmen beside the Gori were originally cowering against the wall, trembling with fear. Seeing their boss being beaten down, they hesitated for a few seconds before rushing forward to try and stop Dormon's spellcasting.
But the Werewolf, who had been holding back until now, also began to move. Its bones cracked, its muscles bulged and burst through its sleeves, and coarse, grayish-brown hair sprouted from its skin.
A Werewolf swung its claws, swatting away a Vampire that pounced on it. The Vampire crashed into the stone wall, slid down, and curled up on the ground, unable to get up for a moment.
The remaining minions were also forced back by the Werewolf and could only barely stand in front of Gori. However, it was clear that under Hagrid's care, these malnourished Vampire minions could only block claws and could not play any crucial role. The time they could really buy them was only a few seconds.
Gori, having lived for so many years, he seized these few seconds to reassemble his magic.
Since we can't fight it head-on, we should avoid it.
Blood mist exploded on his body, and the Gori transformed into countless small bats, fluttering around and dodging the endless stream of daggers.
But at that moment, the golden power that had just been activated was triggered again. It is estimated that in addition to life-threatening danger and power recovery, the activation conditions set by Dumbledore also included Transfiguration.
Golden flames erupted from his skin, this time not to help him repel enemies, but to begin burning his own body.
Gori's body suddenly stiffened, forcing him to stop casting the spell. The bats exploded into a bloody mist and coalesced together, Gori returned to human form.
Dormon's attack followed immediately, and the huge blood-red dagger fell again, this time shattering the barrier that Gori hadn't even had time to form, sending him flying backward and crashing heavily against the stone wall.
Gori's body slid down the stone wall, and rubble fell from the wall. He knelt down, bent over, and spat out a mouthful of dark red blood onto the ground. The blood contained small, lumpy pieces, and Gori vaguely felt that some of his internal organs had been shattered.
Dormon took a step forward, the blood mist behind him rapidly dissipating. He had already unleashed three large-scale attacks in succession, and the faces of his fellow Vampire grew paler with each passing moment, some even beginning to stagger.
He raised his hand, preparing to unleash his attack for the fourth time. The crimson mist that had just regrouped in the air began to stretch and Transfiguration above his palm, forming several slender blood spears in the air, their tips aimed at Gori's direction.
In the Gori, he kneels on the ground, panting, his vision blurring for a moment before clearing again.
He felt he probably wouldn't survive the next attack.
