After venting his anger.
Haruma sat back in his rocking chair and said irritably, "Remember the outfit my clone was wearing, and the mask."
"If someone shows up in that outfit one day claiming to be Madara Uchiha, he's fooling you. He's trying to play you for idiots and use you."
"The guy currently operating under Madara's name is actually Obito Uchiha."
At this point, Haruma slapped his forehead. "Oh, right. Konoha's Nine-Tails' Attack was his handiwork too."
"Obito? If he really isn't dead, why would he do that?"
"Because of a woman."
Mikoto: "???"
"I remember Obito. A very passionate, hardworking fellow. A kid who was always talking about his dream of becoming Hokage."
Fugaku quietly said this to his wife beside him.
"That's right, that passionate kid from back then."
"But he's transformed now."
Haruma sighed. "A pure love warrior who's turned dark..."
"Unfortunately... he's still just a pawn being used by someone else."
Looking at the three of them, who were still full of questions, Haruma had no intention of revealing the whole truth tonight.
After all, all Fugaku needed to do now was dutifully focus on making money.
Knowing so much wouldn't do him any good.
"All right, do you know what time it is? I'm going to my room to sleep." Haruma stood up and yawned. "Keep your voices down if you're going to chat."
With that, Haruma yawned and returned to his room.
The three left behind exchanged speechless looks.
With so many questions unanswered, how could they possibly sleep?
But the person with the answers had already left, so Fugaku could only let it go.
As for calling him back to continue...
Fugaku's position was clear: he didn't want to actually suffer internal injuries and cough up blood.
"Clan Leader Fugaku."
Fugaku, who had been about to leave with his wife, looked at Shisui beside him in confusion.
"Clan leader, I still don't understand. Since the plan is to strengthen Danzo and have him fight the Third Hokage for power..."
"Then... why did Haruma disguise himself as Obito and deliberately reveal information about the Akatsuki to Danzo?"
"If Danzo sends Root members to the Land of Rain to investigate, or to uncover the truth about the Akatsuki, wouldn't that be sending them to their deaths?"
Looking bewildered, Shisui felt his head itching... as though he were about to grow a brain.
He scratched his head and continued, "Wouldn't sending Root ninja to their deaths weaken Danzo's overall strength?"
After hearing him out, Fugaku shook his head and asked, "Do you think someone like Danzo would care about his subordinates dying?"
Without needing to think at all, Shisui immediately shook his head.
Fugaku continued, "Danzo has obtained a Sharingan and mastered the Izanagi Technique. That will undoubtedly fuel his ambition."
"Although he and Sarutobi aren't on good terms, they won't openly turn against each other anytime soon."
At this point, Fugaku changed tack and asked Shisui, "If all the subordinates Danzo sends out to gather intelligence die..."
"Do you think he'll replenish Root's ranks?"
Shisui answered without hesitation, "Definitely. When I was in Root, he was always eyeing the ninja from the village's various clans. But the Third kept refusing him."
Fugaku nodded. "Exactly. Although Danzo doesn't care about his subordinates dying, he won't let Root's strength be weakened too much."
"After all, it's his foundation for competing for the Hokage position."
"So when Root suffers too many casualties, Danzo will definitely find ways to recruit replacements from other clans, or even the Anbu."
"And the Third will never agree."
"That way... the conflict between them will grow even worse!"
These were details Fugaku had only figured out after Haruma returned to his room.
"My best friend really is amazing!" Shisui praised.
"But what if Danzo doesn't send anyone to gather information about the Akatsuki?" Mikoto asked her husband curiously from beside him.
Fugaku shook his head. "He'll definitely send people to look."
After saying this, Fugaku gave Shisui a meaningful look. "That brat Haruma left Danzo a reason he couldn't refuse."
Noticing the meaning in his clan leader's gaze, Shisui froze. "You mean..."
Fugaku said, "The hint he left Danzo."
Shisui frowned, recalling it. "One Mangekyō..."
Fugaku stared at Shisui. "That brat told Danzo about one Mangekyō other than mine. Who do you think Danzo would think of?"
Meeting Fugaku's gaze, Shisui pointed at himself and answered uncertainly, "You mean that 'one Mangekyō' refers to me?"
Fugaku nodded. "Exactly."
Looking at the bewildered Shisui, Fugaku teased him, "From now on, don't think so much. Just follow that brat's orders."
Shisui: "..."
Why does that sound so familiar...
Also...
Is the clan leader calling me stupid...?
"Danzo's intelligence definitely has no record of that brat Haruma awakening his Mangekyō."
"So from Danzo's perspective, the only members of the Uchiha Clan who have awakened the Mangekyō are me... and you." (P.S. Uchiha Itachi awakened his Mangekyō on the night of the massacre.)
"That brat wore the Akatsuki's uniform and concealed his face. He also specifically mentioned one Mangekyō."
"The hint was one Mangekyō."
"It could mean the one Danzo took from you..."
"Or it could mean you're still alive... with one eye remaining."
"It was all to keep Danzo uncertain whether you're alive or dead, while making him do everything he can to find information about you."
At this point, Fugaku sneered and continued, "That brat really is devious. He deliberately dressed like that to force Danzo to send people to their deaths."
"For all we know, Danzo's first move after returning will be to investigate his own subordinates."
After Fugaku's explanation, Shisui, whose head finally wasn't itching so much, nodded. "With Danzo's suspicious nature, he definitely will."
"He already has the eye. Would Danzo still care that much about whether Shisui is alive?"
Mikoto, standing beside them, was still somewhat puzzled. "That brat Haruma deliberately revealed so much information during the trade. He was clearly trying to get Danzo to send people to verify it."
"Would Danzo really walk into a trap he knows is there just to confirm whether Shisui is alive?"
"Of course!"
"As long as Danzo still wants to become Hokage, he absolutely won't allow Shisui to remain alive."
Seeing the confusion in his wife's eyes, Fugaku explained softly, "If Shisui, whose eye Danzo gouged out, appeared in Konoha and made the truth public..."
"Then Danzo would instantly wake from his dream of becoming Hokage."
"Couldn't Danzo just deny it?" Mikoto asked with a frown.
Fugaku suddenly felt that his wife's intelligence seemed to be on the same level as Shisui's.
He answered irritably, "What good would denying it do? He's already implanted Shisui's Mangekyō in his own head."
Seeing the somewhat unfriendly look in his wife's eyes, Fugaku hurriedly added in a softer voice, "According to that brat Haruma, the arm Danzo keeps covered... not only has Sharingan, but has also been injected with the First Hokage's cells."
"Once the truth spreads, Danzo will have to confront Shisui in person if he wants to prove his innocence."
"But how would Danzo dare? The moment Shisui asks him to remove the bandages on his body, it's checkmate."
"So the only thing he can do... is kill Shisui again... before the truth spreads!"
"As for the consequences of Danzo being unable to prove his innocence in front of everyone..."
"I don't think I need to explain any further, do I?"
