"Why are you looking at me? I broke in illegally with a gun, and I blew up the door too.
You two should call the cops and have me arrested! Do you have any principles at all?!
But let's get this straight first: I'm turning myself in, and you two have to be my witnesses!!!"
Su Zhou obligingly cuffed himself and handed over his weapons with practiced ease.
That amounted to a single handgun. He had not even brought a spare magazine.
In fact, there was not a single bullet in the gun!
Just like in every movie, only after the dust had settled
did the main force arrive to clean up the mess. When they saw Tony barbecuing in his yard,
along with Su Zhou, who was handcuffed but still busily eating skewers, the officers were dumbfounded!
One of the officers in charge looked at the excessively "harmonious" pair and asked tentatively,
"What... exactly is going on here?"
"Oh, here's what happened. I was working on some new research inside the villa.
To make sure I was safe, Mr. Su Zhou here used one of our company's products to blow open my front door.
He found that I was fine, but the upright Mr. Su Zhou felt he had done something wrong,
so he cuffed himself and asked you to take him back to the station."
Holding barbecue tongs in one hand and a glass of red wine in the other, Tony shrugged helplessly.
"So, officer, sorry for the trouble, but please take him back to the station. Oh, and he's turning himself in."
Tony had made his meaning perfectly clear: Su Zhou was actually his friend.
He had blown up the villa's front door out of concern for Tony, but Su Zhou was far too upright,
so the officers still needed to take him in. He was even turning himself in!
As for what came afterward, whether it was bail or a court case, Stark Industries' legal department would handle it all!
An officer who had risen to a leadership position at a station in a wealthy neighborhood was naturally a seasoned old hand.
He fully grasped the key points in Tony's words and respectfully escorted Su Zhou into the police car.
Then he turned back and repeatedly assured Tony, the big capitalist, that Su Zhou would not suffer any unfair treatment!
Su Zhou had deliberately let the police take him away for three reasons.
First, his activities over the past month could not possibly escape anyone determined to investigate him.
Tony's dear uncle, for instance, would never make a move against Tony as long as Su Zhou had not disappeared.
Second, he wanted to avoid that revolting Nick Fury, who kept calling him nonstop all day long.
If he did not hide for a while, the legendary Black Widow would probably come knocking.
Third, Hell's Kitchen seemed to have some kind of connection with the police. Once he was in the station,
those filthy things hiding away would presumably pop out. Only by following the trail could he find the mastermind behind them.
Through his experiments, Su Zhou had found that masterminds were worth far more than ordinary lackeys.
Lackeys generally gave only 1 Justice Point, but squad leaders could give 2!
A mastermind... would be worth at least 10. If they were also a plot villain, they would probably be worth even more!
Tony had already warned him to watch out for his own safety once he was in the station.
And through his attempt to arrest Tony just now, he had farmed another Justice Point from him.
As the saying went, grains of sand piled up into a tower. Even one Justice Point deserved some love, right?
Su Zhou was happily imagining his life behind bars when he realized the police car had driven straight into one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s bases...
Su Zhou: (▼ヘ▼#)
S.H.I.E.L.D. really did have people in every government agency!
He could not even find somewhere to stay in peace!
"Su Zhou, we finally meet again. Have you missed me lately?"
Nick Fury stood outside the car and showed Su Zhou the cast on his hand.
"Thanks to you, I haven't signed a single S.H.I.E.L.D. document in a month."
Su Zhou opened the police car's door himself, then held out both hands, mimicking Nick Fury.
He displayed his handcuffs and said,
"I'm a criminal suspect under arrest right now. Until my lawyer arrives,
I won't say a word to you, even if you are the director of S.H.I.E.L.D.!"
Nick Fury: (눈‸●)
Sure enough, this kid was still difficult to deal with!
"Of course. You have the right to remain silent. But there are still some things I need to say."
Using his uninjured fingers, Nick Fury held out a folder to Su Zhou.
Su Zhou instinctively took it to look through it, listening along to whatever Nick Fury had to say.
"You were right. Some of the Skrulls are indeed interested in ruling Earth.
And they've already begun taking action. The documents in your hands contain detailed records of their crimes,
as well as S.H.I.E.L.D.'s plans for dealing with those bad guys, including but not limited to deportation."
Su Zhou looked at the documents in his hands, waiting for a system notification.
If the system notified him that he had earned Justice Points, that would prove these documents were genuine.
Otherwise, he would not mind breaking a few more of Nick Fury's fingers!
[Expelled some alien infiltrators. Justice Points +66]! [Current Justice Points: 88]
Su Zhou: (✪ω✪)
Nice!
It seemed that as long as his acts of justice affected other people, he could earn Justice Points too.
Because of his intervention, part of the crisis of Skrull infiltration within S.H.I.E.L.D. had been resolved.
But he had only received the Justice Points after learning about it.
So this system collects Justice Points based on my perspective?
Does that mean whenever I do something just in the future, I'll have to let my system see it before it counts?
Most importantly, the system had said that only some of the alien infiltrators had been expelled.
In other words, he could keep farming Nick Fury.
The ill-intentioned Skrulls had not all been dealt with, so there would still be Justice Points for him to farm in the future!
Although he was delighted by the surprise, he still had to keep up appearances.
Su Zhou gently handed the folder back to Nick Fury and said calmly,
"So the alien I shot dead back then deserved to die too, right?"
"That's right. He once issued an order in my name to transfer a sum of money out of S.H.I.E.L.D."
Nick Fury finally admitted his failure at work, then took Su Zhou's right hand.
"Su Zhou, I admit you were right, so please accept my apology."
"Okay, I accept. Can you let go of my hand now?"
With some distaste, Su Zhou pulled his hand out of Nick Fury's grasp. The older Black man's large hand was far too warm.
He could not handle it. Most importantly, this guy had once tried to invite him out for coffee!
"So, you came to see me today? Are you asking me to come back to work at S.H.I.E.L.D.?"
