| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Deadshot | 1 | Already possesses exceptional firearm proficiency shortly after transmigration, allowing accurate shots with unfamiliar guns. |
| Super Vision | 8 | Drawn using a Justice Point earned from Tony; grants perception across wavelengths and enables him to identify a Skrull impersonator. |
| Bullet Time | 15 | Obtained after accumulating 100 Justice Points. Accelerates perception and reactions, but initially causes his heart to stop after use. |
| Basic Blade Technique | 24 | Retained after using Ding Xiu’s character card for 300 seconds. |
| Physical Fitness Enhancement | 27 | Black Tiger Alfred’s trial card permanently improves his physique, repairs his damaged heart, and reduces Bullet Time’s side effects. |
| Telepathy | 28 | Draws an initially non-offensive version of Professor X’s ability and immediately uses it to enter Rumlow’s mind. |
| Further physical enhancement | 31 32 | After two enhancements, temporarily demonstrates strength comparable to Abomination; his ordinary physical capabilities are later assessed as comparable to Captain America’s. |
| Spatial ring and Adamantium Blade | 36 | A ten-pull provides stadium-sized storage and a powerful cutting weapon. |
| Magical initiation | 39 | Uses Telepathy to return his displaced soul to his body. The Ancient One identifies his ability to locate himself across planes and gives him a Sling Ring. |
| Divine Stigmata and portal magic | 56 66 | By the end of his initial instruction, can open portals and use a holy mark linked to the Divine Dimension for healing, defense, and energy constructs. |
| Thor’s power through Mjolnir | 53 60 | First proves able to lift Mjolnir, then later gains armor and Thor’s power while wielding it. This is an equipment-dependent transformation. |
| Giant transformation and further strength gain | 70 71 | A character card temporarily makes him a hundred-meter giant. After First Brother’s card, his physical strength also increases enough to deform his M9 accidentally. |
| Telepathy upgrade; Gate of Hell | 80 | Mental Interference and Mind Control merge into Telepathy. Also draws Gate of Hell. |
| Increased mental reserves | 82 | Reports greater mental power and increased holy energy after the upgrades; successfully applies subtle psychic influence to Hope. |
| Infinity Stone amplification | 88 | The Space Stone grants deeper spatial awareness, while the Mind Stone greatly strengthens his existing psychic abilities. |
| Complete six-Stone Infinity Gauntlet | 94 | Adds the Power Stone, replenishing his exhausted mental power. At this stage, his gauntlet and armor are necessary to withstand its output. |
| Mental-power cultivation | 110 | Repeatedly exhausts his mental power and restores it with the Mind Stone, gradually increasing his reserves. The Stone cannot permanently enlarge his Stigmata’s capacity. |
| Power Stone adaptation | 131 | Uses the Mind Stone to endure the Power Stone’s energy; his Stigmata absorbs some of it and slightly increases its maximum reserves. |
| Enhanced Stigmata | 152 | Spends Justice Points directly on an upgrade. A second intersecting line appears, more than doubling its energy capacity; a full recharge takes about two hours. |
| Modified Phoenix Force: two-fifths usable power | 175 | The modified skill initially permits one-fifth of its power. Absorbing Telepathy increases this to two-fifths, adds telekinesis, and continuously expands his Stigmata. |
| Eighth Sense and dual-dimensional constitution | 193 | Gains Eighth Sense, which the Phoenix Force strengthens. Its usable power reaches roughly half, and his body adapts to his divine and dark powers. His strength is described as firmly multiversal. |
| Infinity Stones without a gauntlet | 194 | His strengthened body no longer requires the Infinity Gauntlet to wield the Stones. |
| Absorption of Hell fragments | 252 | Destroys a goblin Hell Lord, absorbs its dimensional fragment, and earns 1,000 Justice Points. |
| Dark Dimension converted into Hell | 264 | The Vishanti transform his Dark Dimension into a pure Hell Dimension, removing Chthon’s hidden means of reclaiming it. |
| Dominant ruler of Hell | 269 | After consuming Shuma-Gorath’s dimension, controls more than half of Hell. Overpowers Cyttorak and absorbs further power, gaining the ability to observe and destroy the Marvel omniverse. |
| Satan recognized by Heaven and Hell | 270 | Separates his own universe from the multiverse. His arrival on Earth overwhelms its protective magical arrays, which he restores with a snap. |
Background and History
Transmigration and undercover career
The original Su Zhou was recruited and trained by Hydra from age fifteen, belonged to its 38th undercover training class, and infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D. as a level-three agent. After he died from an ordinary cold while traveling to hospital, another soul with the same name took over his body 1 25 27.
The new Su Zhou sought enough power to survive the coming alien invasions and multiversal threats. Discovering that killing criminals reliably produced Justice Points, he began an aggressive campaign that earned reprimands from both organizations. Coulson instead interpreted his confrontation with a supposedly corrupt superior as evidence of exceptional integrity and recommended him as Fury’s bodyguard 1.
Su Zhou treated his double-agent position as an opportunity: Hydra intelligence could help him eliminate Hydra operatives for Justice Points, while those same actions could be presented to S.H.I.E.L.D. as achievements and to Hydra as necessary sacrifices for his cover 2.
Tony Stark and the Skrull conspiracy
Su Zhou single-handedly eliminated the terrorist base holding Tony Stark, but then handcuffed his rescued hostage over suspected offenses involving taxes and unregistered medical equipment. Their subsequent friendship combined genuine cooperation with Su Zhou’s persistent attempts to extract Justice Points from Tony’s behavior 3 4 6 7.
His newly acquired Super Vision exposed a Skrull impersonating Fury. He killed the impostor, then shot and restrained the real Fury on suspicion of alien collaboration. Subsequent interrogation and investigation revealed that some Skrulls were indeed pursuing control of Earth and abusing Fury’s identity 8 11 15 17.
After leaving S.H.I.E.L.D., Su Zhou fought crime in Hell’s Kitchen under a Batman identity. He later intervened against Obadiah Stane’s Iron Monger, using Bullet Time despite its dangerous strain on his heart. Wanda subsequently confirms that Su Zhou killed Obadiah 15 20 199.
Hydra, Kamar-Taj, and New York
Su Zhou convinced Alexander Pierce that his conspicuous righteousness served his infiltration mission. Pierce rewarded him with combat instruction from the Winter Soldier, whom Su Zhou defeated using a character trial card 25 27.
The Ancient One approached him after detecting an other-dimensional aura associated with items in his spatial ring. Recognizing his unusual psychic aptitude, she personally instructed him and sought to make him Sorcerer Supreme. Su Zhou postponed accepting the position until he had dealt with Hydra 38 39 56.
He disclosed his Hydra identity and S.H.I.E.L.D.’s infiltration to Natasha, presenting himself as an undercover operative preparing to turn against both compromised organizations. During the Battle of New York, he fought the Chitauri, temporarily became a giant, and redirected a nuclear missile into space through a carefully coordinated use of his skills and magic 43 44 70 76.
After the battle, he uprooted Hydra and left the cleanup to Steve Rogers and the others. Their publication of Hydra and S.H.I.E.L.D. records exposed his double-agent history, but the Holy See publicly defended him as the angel who had saved New York 199.
Time travelers and parallel universes
During the New York invasion, Su Zhou detained four future Avengers in the Mirror Dimension. He later traveled through the Quantum Realm and fought two versions of Thanos, completing a six-Stone gauntlet and beheading both opponents 71 82 94.
His later travels included Asgard, Knowhere, a Spider-Man universe reached through Deadpool’s random doorway, and encounters with the X-Men. He also helped resolve disrupted timelines before returning to Knowhere to accumulate more Justice Points 110 119 136 152 171.
Dimensional ruler and Satan
The Phoenix Force transformed Su Zhou’s abilities from primarily psychic and equipment-assisted powers into strength sufficient to threaten Captain Marvel without the Infinity Stones. He subsequently became both Lord of Heaven and Lord of the Dark Dimension, with Eighth Sense helping his body accommodate the conflicting powers 175 193.
He later confronted threats including Sentry, Galactus, and Doctor Doom’s schemes. Against Sentry, he summoned part of the Dark Dimension to Earth to contain the battle’s shock waves, then used the Phoenix Force against the Void within Bob 230 232 238 240.
Seeking greater power against God Emperor Doom, Su Zhou entered the struggle over Hell. Absorbing rival dimensions eventually gave him control sufficient to confront God and TOAA as an equal; he refused God’s attempt to place foreign memories in his mind 243 252 269.
By the finale, Heaven and Hell recognize him as Satan. He leaves Hell’s administration to subordinates, returns to his separated universe, and resumes his relationship with Wanda 270.
Appearance
- Build and features: Tall, with thick black hair, a handsome East Asian face, and bright, resolute eyes that remind Coulson of Captain America 1 3.
- Enhanced physique: Develops sharply defined muscles after his physical enhancement 28.
- Clothing: Initially wears military-style tactical equipment; later frequently fights in suits and dress shoes. Also uses a Batman suit and briefly wears a black X-Men uniform 6 35 60 152.
- Marks: Originally bears the Stigmata on his left hand and a devil’s mark on his right. Both sink into his skin and disappear during his transformation through Eighth Sense 152 193.
- Wings: Manifests golden or white wings with divine power, and six black wings in his darker form 94 194 255.
Personality
Su Zhou’s public image is that of an uncompromisingly righteous agent who will confront anyone, including his own superiors. His behavior is also deliberately cultivated: he uses this reputation to conceal his infiltration, secure trust, and earn Justice Points. His private reasoning is frequently more calculating than his solemn declarations suggest 1 18 25.
He is ruthless toward criminals and villains, initially favoring execution because it guarantees rewards. As he learns more about the system, he becomes willing to preserve dangerous enemies as repeat sources of Justice Points. Nevertheless, both Coulson and the Ancient One explicitly note that he has not harmed innocent people 1 10 34 38.
His friendships reveal a teasing, sharp-tongued side. He distinguishes friendly banter from genuine insults, protects his allies, and repeatedly helps people with recovery or redemption—though his methods can include intimidation, painful beatings, healing, and psychic manipulation 7 45 104 143.
The Phoenix Force changes his personality, making emotional fluctuations increasingly appealing because they help it grow. He recognizes the danger of its influence and seeks to correct it, although he continues to enjoy provoking revealing reactions from others 187 201.
Abilities and Skills
Justice Points Lottery
Su Zhou’s system rewards actions it recognizes as justice and lets him purchase randomized rewards or certain upgrades 1 80 152.
- Rewards: Skills, character trial cards, weapons, storage equipment, and miscellaneous items 24 36 80.
- Indirect credit: Receives points for the removal of Skrull infiltrators after learning that his intervention caused it 17.
- Variable payouts: Ordinary criminals generally yield less than leaders or major threats; rewards are not limited to killing 17 27 143 252.
- Limits: Chitauri soldier rewards reach a cap during the invasion, and the system does not provide detailed personal statistics 32 70.
Firearms and Bullet Time
Deadshot supplies exceptional accuracy, while Bullet Time accelerates Su Zhou’s perception and bodily reactions 1 15.
- Uses ricochets to attack targets whose locations he knows 8 20.
- Combines enhanced sight and reactions to catch and bend Yondu’s Yaka Arrow 119.
- Initially suffers cardiac collapse from Bullet Time; physical enhancements later allow repeated use in one battle 15 27 71.
- Cannot initially react quickly enough to avoid Captain Marvel’s headbutt, even with Bullet Time active 98.
Super Vision
Super Vision perceives light across wavelengths, including radio waves, ultraviolet, X-rays, and gamma rays 8.
- Detects concealed trackers, internal anatomy, and the nonhuman body of a disguised Skrull 8.
- Lets him inspect his own heart and confirm that its injuries have healed 27.
- Supplies trajectory and environmental information when redirecting the nuclear missile above New York 76.
Telepathy and Mental Control
Initially a weakened, non-offensive psychic skill, Telepathy expands through system upgrades, practice, the Mind Stone, and eventual absorption into the Phoenix Force 28 80 88 175.
- Reads thoughts and memories, enters mental spaces, and communicates with Bruce Banner inside Hulk 28 32.
- Suppresses Abomination’s thoughts and later subtly influences Hope’s decisions 34 82.
- Gains explicit Mental Interference and Mind Control functions through the lottery 80.
- Initially operates over roughly 300 meters 32.
- Can be resisted by stronger minds or psychic protection. Even Mind Stone amplification fails to control Carol, and Su Zhou cannot rewrite Galactus’s memories 82 127 238.
Magic and Holy Energy
The Ancient One trains Su Zhou in Kamar-Taj magic, while his Stigmata connects him to the Divine Dimension 39 56 66.
- Opens portals, uses the Mirror Dimension, and creates Shields of the Seraphim 56 71.
- Shapes holy energy into weapons and shields; heals most injuries and some terminal illnesses at sufficient energy cost 66.
- Replenishes stored holy energy with mental power 66.
- Excels at defense and healing, but holy attacks are less effective against ordinary creatures than dark beings 66 151.
- Later creates heavily enchanted equipment, including self-repairing, shape-changing weaponry powered by holy or dark energy 226.
Character Trial Cards and Combat Technique
Character cards temporarily supply another character’s capabilities and can leave lasting improvements 24 27 70.
- Gains Basic Blade Technique from Ding Xiu and broad physical enhancement from Black Tiger Alfred 24 27.
- Retains fragments of weapon knowledge and martial insight after cards expire 132 164.
- Can use cards to replenish mental energy 124.
- Possesses additional skills including Mount Akina Driving God, Stunt Master, and an upgradable Master of Disguise 16 32 124.
Phoenix Force and Eighth Sense
The modified Phoenix Force merges with Telepathy and the Stigmata, strengthening both psychic power and his energy reserves 175.
- Adds telekinesis, demonstrated by levitating and crushing furniture 175.
- Converts into vitality-rich holy energy with an orange-red tint 175.
- Strengthens Eighth Sense and helps his body adapt to his divine and dark powers 193.
- Resists Sentry’s attempt to alter him through the Void and acts as a direct counter to Bob’s dark side 230 232.
- Carries a personality-altering influence that Su Zhou recognizes as dangerous 187.
Dimensional Authority
Su Zhou successively rules Heaven, the Dark Dimension, and Hell 193 269.
- Draws physical and magical strength from his dimensions; his Dark Dimension initially exceeds his Heaven in scale and power 193.
- Summons a roughly hundred-meter dark domain to isolate his battle with Sentry 230.
- Uses dark energy to burn Sentry and prevent his wounds from healing 231.
- Commands time and space within his Hell, fixing the distance between himself and Cyttorak so that an attack cannot reach him 269.
- Ultimately separates his own universe from the multiverse and restores Earth after his arrival damages its defenses 270.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- M9 pistols and firearms — His preferred early weapons. Tony also supplies an automatic rifle that Su Zhou keeps in reserve 15 168.
- Adamantium Blade — A nearly ten-kilogram katana, about seventy centimeters long including its red hilt. Made primarily from a parallel Wolverine’s claws 36.

- Vibranium shield — Takes the future Steve Rogers’s shield and later equips a vibranium shield against Sentry 71 231.
- Infinity Gauntlet and Infinity Stones — Completes one six-Stone set against the two Thanoses. His later physique permits using the Stones without the gauntlet 94 194.
- Uru armor — Part of his high-end combat equipment against Sentry and the Hell Lords 231 255.
